110% one of my favorite sushi spots in this area. Wes has created an establishment that makes you feel at home. Staff is great, food is great. They even have exotic snacks. If you haven’t been to any of their locations yet; make sure you do. They never disappoint.

Every time I come here the service is excellent, staff are extremely friendly, food and presentation is fantastic, and atmosphere is fun and casual too. Great spot for high-quality sushi at a modest price. Is it the cheapest sushi around? Absolutely not, but that’s not what it’s supposed to be. For the portion sizes of sushi and sashimi the prices are very reasonable while still maintaining high quality.

I LOVE this place! This is my second time visiting and I’m always impressed by the delicious sushi! The young lady at the front of the restaurant was so sweet. I didnt catch her name but she was there on Friday at lunch time (give her a raise!). She was patient while I decided on my order and she brought it right out to me as I waited for my order outside. I ordered the Dragon roll and then volcano roll. They were both SO fresh and flavorful. Whenever I crave sushi this is the exact thing I crave and I’m glad I was able to satisfy it. Now that I work down the street from here I will be sure to stop in more regularly to try every roll. I can’t wait. Also parking was easy, free, and this place is very conveniently located. I will have to come by at night to enjoy the ambiance. Thank you Kusshi for getting it right !

I went back to Kusshi after awhile for a girl’s dinner and had a great time per usual! I’d been a handful of times prior. I ordered the Kusshi noodles for the first time thinking it was soup noodles, but ended up pleasantly surprised as it’s a stir fry dish ~~ I do remember wishing the vegetables were more flavorful though. The fatty salmon never misses but I didn’t order it this time around! I also ordered the imported Niagara ale for the first time and it was delicious and refreshing! It’s 5% but tastes like a light green grape sparkly juice or a craft soda even. Item pictured is the Kusshi noodles! *chefs kiss* not the best photo but I was in a hurry to munch 🤭

I had tried another Kusshi branch in Pentagon Row last month which was mostly hit and a little miss. My friend kept telling me this place taste so much better. I only expected the same level food but wow was she right! This Kusshi tastes better! HTW do I know? We ordered the same things! The fatty salmon nigiri, the tuna avocado ball, the volcano roll! If Pentagon Row as 4/5, this is definitely 5/5. The service is actually faster IMO. Our waiter had really useful recommendations for us. The food came out so quick it didn't even feel like we had to wait (not to mention we were hungry). I skipped the cocktails since Pentagon Row wasn't that memorable so I cannot comment on that here. The place is quite filled with activity and noise. It's not a quiet restaurant but more like a bar and a restaurant. The dimmed lighting here still bothers me like Pentagon Row but that's probably just me because I like the spotlight on my food lol I will definitely come back to this Kusshi! oh oh, and I love the big-size bowl that they give their miso soup in! Other sushi restaurants I've been to give me half their size. That's just satisfying.

Overall: 4.75: Delicious, freshly prepared sushi! 🍣 My fav rolls are the Pinstripe & Dragon. Flexibility to special order menu items. Modern atmosphere, excellent service, well-stocked bar & situated in Pike & Rose by other trendy hotspots, stores & restaurants. Large patio seating area & pet friendly. 🐶Note: Tables inside are very close to one another so it’s a little noisy.

I visited Japan in 2017, and the sushi was so good that I couldn't enjoy sushi back in the states for a couple years...until I discovered Kusshi Sushi. Hands down best sushi in the DMV area, but I also enjoy the option for bar seating so I can visit for a casual drink with friends, or a full blown dinner. Kusshi also has great ramen, which means I don't have to decide between Kusshi or one of the nearby ramen spots. I dine out very often at all kinds of restaurants, but the seared fatty salmon at Kusshi, the friendly service of its staff, and the beautiful/convenient Pike & Rose area make Kusshi a consistent favorite.

My husband and I went for dinner at Kussi Sushi for the first time and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious. Specially, the raw oyster was so good, small but very juicy. I guess they were milk oyster. We were delighted with this dinner.❤️

My go-to sushi place. Dining inside can be a bit cramped because the space is crowded and they're usually busy (they do have outdoor seating, though). This is one of few places from which I prefer to order pickup/delivery. They get it right EVERY time and I've never been disappointed by a roll.
