The quality of the kebab here is pretty high here, but there was unevenness between the chicken and the lamb. The chicken was succulent and perfectly seasoned, the lamb was tough and lacking. Rice and sauces were fine, but didn't make up for a $26 price tag for the dish. Service was friendly, you order at the counter and they bring out the food to your table. The dining room is spacious and tables are well spaced.
Recommended if you're in the mood for the chicken, just note the price is a bit high, but you won't be disappointed in the flavor of the chicken.
Good Halal food. They get their meat from their own Halal butcher place in same shopping center. Only drawback is they close at 6. I wish they stayed open till 8-9.
The quality of the food is great. The amount of kabob, rice, tomato, and all are also more than what you pay for. The price of a large plate of joojeh kabob (with rice, tomato, onion, lemon, parsley) is $9 and kabob koobideh with rice (and others) is $8. It's not a luxury location, and food is served in one-use plates, but the taste of food is great.
One of the best Persian restaurants in Rockville. Plenty of parking spaces and the place is usually not crowded even during the weekend dinner service. I noticed a lot of people do takeouts, but I highly recommend dine-in. I usually order the lamb chenjeh and kubideh combo platter. Lamb has a great flavor and absolutely no musky taste. Kubideh is also juicy and cooked to perfection. Rice was also very tender and grilled vegetables were delicious. Ask for the spice packet which enhances the flavor of the dish and definitely ask for tahdig if they have any. It’s unfortunate that the price really went up due to inflation, but the food is still delicious! I highly recommend this place!
Best best Persian Food!! I love Sadaf!! It’s the best Iranian I’ve had!! I always get the lamb and kabob! Only wish they keep it open till late as we come all the way from
DC and we sometimes don’t make it by 7pm!

This place is great middle eastern food. Its quite authentic, well cooked. It is spacious enough so you can bring people with you. The prices are great. And the service was quick! Plenty of parking available. I had a gyro and i really liked it! Very nice halal meat!
Halal for those of you that require. I just wanted to compare and it was good. Authentic Persian food that offers all the Persian delicacies. I had the kubideh & chicken kabob. I food was accompanied with bread, yogurt sauce and a green spicy sauce. The meal was tasty. Good amongst lots of other really good places. They also have a nice meat market a few doors down.
Salmon and rice is perfectly cooked. Delicious
I come back to this restaurant many times. The food is always delicious and fresh. It is nice and clean.
Love the kabobs here. Rice that comes with the kabob is too good. Both bone-in and boneless chicken kabobs were juicy and tasty. I have yet to try their lamb kabob. I am sure it will be good. Good place to eat some kabobs.
Absolutely delicious kabobs! The menu is small, so perfect for a Persian food amateur like me. I left stuffed for a very small price and the staff was awesome.
I tried #1 from the main menu - Kubideh (beef). I have been to this location several times. It's always well cooked. Hope they increase the entries to their menu, especially for the appetizer. Their customer service is always on point. Order it at the counter and they will serve you at your table!
The best marinated grilled chickens in DMV. I send all my Farsi Language students there for a true taste of Persian Kabob and they have always been impressed by the food and hospitality there. Forget about Yekta’s all oriental facade and only stale food and head for humble but authentic Sadaf culinary joy!
Beyond delicious 😋I highly recommend. If you're lucky enough to go when they have tahdiq and qeema🥰
