I love this restaurant. Their soondooboo is great! :)
i always order with my family, soondoobo, kalbi, and those korean pancakes.
It seems like those pancakes are a big favorite there.

The tofu in the soup was extremely rich in tofu flavor. The BBQ ribs were perfect and their seafood pancake was wonderful with a lot of fresh greens. The kimchee bowls were bottomless and authenticly delicious

...Part of the attraction is that this is slow food, Korean home cooking. Lighthouse is not the place for a quick lunch. The servers are speedy and attentive, and I suppose you could be in and out in under an hour if you ordered chicken teriyaki or bulgogi (both of which are quite satisfying, according to my tofu-shunning friend). But keep in mind that stirring, sipping, and warming up over this hot pot is a great way to linger with friends.

Wonderful Tofu soup! I’ve had a lot of Korean food and it’s one of my favorite places. Waitresses here are polite and offer good service, not sure why people left bad reviews here(I read a few). Really enjoyed my lunch here today. This place is definitely recommended if you’re craving for Korean food.

This isn't just a restaurant. It's an experience. My girlfriend and I dream of going to this place all the time. Boiling, spicy tofu soup with choices of meat or veggies and kimchi, with bowls of white rice to complement the flavorful food. You can order sides of meat as well with the combo deal. The meat has always come out hot and is perfect with the soup. Coming here during the weekdays for lunch is great due to the reasonable price.

Came for lunch. Very pleasant atmosphere and great service. Great selection of banchan... 7 items. Ordered steamed egg (shown in picture), fried mandoo (excellent), duk mandoo soup and oukojie tang (forgive the mangled spelling). All were excellent.

The kimchi pancake was phenomenal! Host was super friendly and receptive to all my questions about what's vegetarian and what's not.

Wonderful and plentiful amounts of food. Good Korean service from terrific staff. I go here quite often when I missing Korea and in the mood for something hot and spicy. Be sure to check the walls for meals you might not have seen in the menu.

Always a delicious experience when I've gone. Their kimchee/pickle selection before the meal is a great appetizer, and the food is consistently prepared well. It offers a range in spiciness--the spiciness seems to go up exponentially, so if you're fearful, definitely go for the mild or medium. The service is efficient, and the atmosphere is not fancy but modest and comfortable.

Food was good but pricey. Soup was the highlight. Clean and modern interior, and featured what seems to be a fairly standard menu for a Korean restaurant. Personally liked the bibimbap from Arirang (not too far away) better. Service was adequate. Went on a weekday evening and it was pretty crowded.

Vast selection of authentic style of Korean food from 80s-90s. I feel that priced little too high for certain dishes such as pancake and most of dinner. Lunch combination is a good deal and served with your choice of tofu soup in sizzling pot.

Their food is great! I took my parents out on a Sunday to grab lunch and the staff was very friendly. Everyone “stopped working” to say hi and was completely thrown off because I’ve never had such a welcome. We all ordered the beef bulgogi and it came with kimchi, steamed rice, bean sprouts, and fish cake. We also ordered a seafood pancake. Everything priced out to be about $70 and we were shocked by how much food we had left over to take home. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for some authentic Korean BBQ. We’ll be back to try the Ramen.

This place. I love this restaurant so much. Their kimchi is my absolute favorite from any of the other Korean food joints in the area. The portions are big. Their banchan is varied. They are known for their tofu soups but everything I have gotten here is delicious.

This place is the perfect Korean comfort food restaurant for me. The dishes all have a home made taste and so does the environment. The staffs are super friendly. I also love the price as well. Not very inflated.

Not the best, but pretty solid Korean food. The food is pricier than the average Korean restaurant. I usually come here for the SoonDuBu, which is a spicy tofu soup. You can pick the level of spiciness of your soup. Remember to crack the egg into your soup right when you get it so that it can cook while the soup is still boiling hot. Sometimes the servers don't tell you this and you're stuck wondering what to do with a raw egg! Their other entrees are tasty too, but expensive. If you're really hungry, their combo meals are a good deal. It comes with a small soondubu, but note that it does not come with rice. I also like their Seafood Pancake, but wish it had a tad more seafood in it. The large Seafood Pancake, on the other hand, does come with rice. It's a decent sized restaurant. Every time I've been, it's never been completely packed. Good for large groups. We showed up in a group of 18 the other day and had no issues. Friendly service. Plenty of parking.

1. Service - Quick, friendly, & attentive. 2. Taste of food and quality of food - Best Korean place in MD. Portion size was just enough & not too salty. 3. Ambiance/decor - Cozy and Korean decor throughout. Cool private room for big groups. 4. Cleanliness - Looked & felt clean throughout.
