Always wanted to visit the Azores but 2020 got you down? Here you can purchase a variety of imported foods, drinks and pantry staples like frozen and tinned fish, chili sauce and olive oil. And then there are the handmade goodies baked on site with love.💖(I could taste it.) From rice pudding to puff pastry filled with fruit or Bavarian cream dusted in a sift of sugar on to rustic macaroons and an elegant tiered tri-chocolate mousse, there's a variety of treats. Take home fresh breads, cookies and other baked goodies. Choose from an assortment packaged and ready to go. I was with a friend from Portugal who had never been to 9 Islands before. Not only did she promise to be back, apparently they occasionally offer a special sort of "donut" that those in the know speak of with wide eyes and hushed tones. I'm really looking forward to trying something new.

The coconut flans and eclairs are my personal favorites! Always fresh and very affordable; the quality is always amazing and super good! Not too sweet! :)

I absolutely love this bakery! This place is a must see for yourself and must-be-tasted attraction. I go there as often as I'm in the area. I can't get enough of the coconut macaroon flan creation, it is a mouth-gasm for sure! The chocolate covered almonds are the best. I even like the passion fruit soda and I usually don't like soda, maybe because it is real sugar. But seriously I would travel the distance just for the chocolate flan! Can't rate this authentic Portuguese bakery highly enough. Go check it out and enjoy the healthy addiction it may cause you.

Great Portuguese pastries that you won't find anywhere else. Some Portuguese frozen grocery items, too. Family-run, and they only sell what they can bake on premises; to be sure of getting what you want, go in a day before and order ahead.

Not quite sure about this place yet. I've been once and tried 3 treats. The cheesecake cookie bare was the most decadent. There wasn't much of a selection when I was there, but I'm attributing that to the late time of day. They've also got sausages in the freezer.

Malasadas(sp) good, very simple but can only buy on Saturday. Custard cups are tasty, they have a small selection of sausages, cheese, etc., very friendly and helpful staff. Fun to try something new.

Simple. Get a box of the Pastel de nata, or egg custard tarts. They are fabulous with coffee. Not too sweet and has a wonderful flaky crust.

This place is one of a kind. My husband's Portuguese uncle turned us onto their cheese & it was well worth every penny.

Do it! Pasties de Natal are on point. They sell pastries, sweet bread, linguica, and products from the Azores! I love it!
