First time here. Tried there chilaqueles with pork Chile Verde and I have to say, very good. The salsa and chips they start you off with tells how good it is. Great service and decent prices as well.
Really huge portions! O got the cheese enchiladas plate that comes with 3 enchiladas and there was no way I could finish it all. The enchilada sauce had a good rich flavor as did the beans and rice. I liked the dollop of sour cream on top along with the lettuce and tomatoes. The salsa was thick and chunky and the chips had just the right thickness and crunch. Service was very attentive and the dining room is nice and big with lots of soft padded booths. Highly recommend!
When I came home last night I stopped to pick up dinner there.. I would have given 5 stars but the steak picado was 50% gristle.. The chili relleno and enchilada dinner that my husband got was delicious he said.
I did call them and brought to their attention the high % of gristle. Suggested they tell the chef or the owner to do something with meat for this dish, like don't cheap out on the meat they buy...just saying..

Had the most amazing dinner at Casa Alvarez. Shrimp cocktail was perfectly seasoned with just a hint of horseradish, albondigas soup with seasoned meat balls to perfection, tostada salad with the juiciest of carne asada, and hubby enjoyed a delicious Chile verde wet burrito topped with eggs. Overall a great meal. Homemade salsas, margaritas, and flan pushed it over the top to fabulous. Highly recommend this place.
Love the food here, the Beef taco is abundant and the Chili Relleno was fluffy and delicious.
The staff here is always friendly and the service excellent. I like the atmosphere here, very comfortable. It's always a nice place for us to end our week and have Sunday dinner with the Family.
Called in our order and it was ready when we arrived! Great food and great COVID awareness! Let's support this wonderful restaurant!! Returned today for the lunch specials! Had a delicious chili Verde lunch! Loved it!
