Reliably delicious. Big fan of the Brussel sprouts, chopped salad and Prosciutto di Parma pizza. Service has been a let-down my last few visits; management seemed absent. Still a go-to for consistently good food.
Biga Pizzeria should be the location of your next date or pizza experience. Here you will find up scale fair that can be enjoyed in jeans and a dress-y shirt. Mr. and Mrs. GFDM shared our first experience as a date. Upon entering the building we knew this would be the place for us. The Royal Oak location is set in an old train car charging station. There are elements of the building’s old use left behind. Those items make good conversation pieces. Along with the car perched on top of a server’s station. If you get there at dusk ,the windows are huge, you will see a colorful view of the sky as the sun goes down.
We can't wait for our next visit.. Pizzeria Biga has a different atmosphere that is trendy while comfortable. At each visit our servers have been attentive and understand gluten-free eating.
Biga has a wood burning pizza oven and thin crust. This is the ONLY pizza we have found in Michigan that reminds our family of Philadelphia or New Jersey pizzerias.
Biga also labels the menu with gluten-free and vegan options.
Two thumbs up!
I love it. It is simply the best pizzeria EVER.
Pasta!. I love the strazopretti pasta with Bacco sausage. I used to order it at Bacco and I'm so happy I can order it as carry out from Biga. By the time our drive home is over, it's finished!
Great Gluten Free Pizza!. What a nice place. The people are nice, the food was great. I only tasted the pizza for lunch, but the menu has lots of stuff for someone who is gluten free and even vegan. Their salads looked great and so did the regular pizza! I will go again!
Delicious. I really enjoyed their pizza. I tried the one with prosciutto -- fabulous. I tried the sausage pizza -- superb. And I tried the smoked salmon pizza -- which was interesting... a little strong on the fishiness. I'll try something different next time. Beer selection was very good. Wine list a little heavy on Italian wines IMO. Check out their happy hour and daily specials.
Fantastic-real authentic wood fired pizza; great wine & beer, nice outdoor patio. Service ok- will repeat.
Four stars due to location. Parking is impossible to find, and the entrance is second floor. That being said, the pizza was great.
I really enjoyed the fire oven taste . Thin crust and real tomatoe tasting sauce . What I didn't like is the cheese is different now since the last time I ordered meaning its like a regular pizza shop cheese instead of the chunks of mozzarella randomly placed . The rosemary fries are still delicious. Would recommend trying If you have not but i toss this back to bigalora and ask why change the cheese on classic cheese pizza ?
I am not usually a fan of chains. But this one is great. I love the idea of cooking the pizzas in super hot ovens, and they turn out amazing. There are some very unique pizza flavors which is what really intrigued me about Bigalora. I absolutely love this place they have great drinks and food. A good place to come and share.
Amazing pizzas and delicious pastas - but the real standout is the incredible service! Special shoutout to our server Josh who went so far above and beyond in making our family comfortable at dinner tonight, beyond patient and kind in handling the many questions and requests, and always with a big smile (we can tell even underneath your mask! 🤗) and positive energy! Thank you Josh and the rest of Team Bigalora - hospitality is a hard industry, especially during this difficult year, thank you all for your hard work in bringing joy and deliciousness to our lives!
