If God fed all the people with only bread and fish I believe he ordered the food from here. The staff was excellent and the food was fantastic. My wife got the burger and it melted in my mouth. I got the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. Will say anyone that comes this way to check this place out

Food was really good. Flavors went together really well in the Mississippi catfish dish. I had the “darkness” cocktail which wasn’t overpowering, good flavor, and worth the $. The atmosphere was soft, encouraging relaxed conversation. It was hot and humid, though. If you’re “hot natured” dress for it! Servers were great. Establishment was very clean. There isn’t a kids menu, however, sides menu works for kids. My children didn’t like the Mac n cheese, but they have been ruined with the “fake” “stuff”. I grabbed a quick bite of it and thought it was really good. I would go back….

If you are in the area, I definitely recommend this place, although our experience wasn’t flawless. The atmosphere is great, the service excellent and the craft cocktail menu all meet what you expect in a foodie place in Birmingham. Overall we thought the food was very good, but my friend ordered the NY strip and was served a T-bone (bone-in). This was understandably disappointing and he wished they would have told him when he ordered as he would have ordered something else (the NY strip was the most expensive item on the menu). I would still visit Doe’s Eat Place again, but I’d ask some clarifying questions if I planned to order a steak. No complaints at all about the apps, sides or the other entree (catfish).

I can’t believe Russellville has a gem like this. Our steaks were comparable to big steak houses and the drinks were even better. So glad we don’t have to go to Florence or Huntsville for a night out anymore. You’ve got new regulars, for sure!
