My dear friends took me here for a Christmas meal last night. I was impressed with the pig ears and bone marrow. Of course, the rest of everything we ordered was fantastic. They even warmed up my milk. Winter outdoor dining is great here due to the heaters. Some homeless yelling on K street as the norm and the loudness of the light rail passing near us made the ambiance feel like "downtown." Hopefully, the future of Sacramento will not deteriorate for the next generation. Back to Ella, check this place out. Happy hour on weeknights is crowded. It says a lot with their service, treatment of customers, and the food they serve.

Great meal for my birthday. The salmon was literally the best we have ever had, and we order it a lot! Corn soup was delicious as well as the baked oysters and steak. I might pass on the bone marrow next time but it was still good. The drinks were absolutely wonderful. Finished it off with the ridiculously yummy cheesecake souffle. Our service was perfect. Great meal and worth every penny. We will absolutely be back!

Fine dining with multiple tasty options. I went for a sponsored group meal with options already chosen for us. The food was served family style. We were seated in a private area and the staff were quite attentive to our needs. A word of caution: If you are solo dining or on a date be aware that for the price the portion sizes are small. This is a special occasion restaurant to celebrate whatever. All in all great good and great service.

This restaurant was amazing! The experience was great, the service was awesome, and the food was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and the chicken (although looked interesting since it was fried) was very very tasty and delicious! The Duck Confit potato's were the perfect side for the steak and the Parmesan Risotto was perfect with the chicken. The one thing I would do different is order less sauce with the steak. The steak was sitting in a pool of sauce so it took away from the true flavor of the steak. Other than that, the food was absolutely amazing. I also wanted to give a shoutout to our waiter. I drink tons of water when I eat yet my cup never went dry during our time there. This has only ever happened twice to me so hats off to them.

What a great place for a wonderful meal and superb service. Very nice place and a great meal. They have valet parking which is fantastic. Especially at lunch. There is also parking around the corner in a large paid lot. I started off with my client a butternut squash soup. Amazing then to the main course. My client is a vegetarian and he found a delightful dish. Make a reservation and be ready to be wowed.

We had one of the best meals ever at Ella for my girlfriend’s birthday celebration! The cocktails were amazing and we were thrilled with everything we ordered. The corn soup was so creamy and delicious. The salmon was the best I have ever had in my life! We will be sure to come back for our next celebration!

Celebrated our one year wedding anniversary here and we’re happy with everything. Food was so incredibly tasty. We splurged ok the Tomahawk and it was delicious — so well seasoned and the red wine sauce so good. The drinks were great, too. One of the best aperol spritz I’ve ever had, so citrusy.

From start to finish this experience was lovely! The gin and tonic was delicious with the house made tonic. We started with the bone marrow - the sweet jelly coupled with the savory marrow was a fabulous match. The lobster tower and stonefruit salad were exceptional as well. The space is gorgeous but the restaurant itself is quite loud in my opinion.

Another spectacular visit to Ella, Sacramento’s premier fine dining restaurant. For celebrations, this is our go-to. I often bring clients here for closing dinners or birthdays. On Friday, I had the Randall’s margarita named after the restaurant’s owner. We had a selection of appetizers and split the fried chicken. Lobster corn dogs are a must. I’m fairly sure they’re a seasonal item and I’ll be sad when they’re gone. The ambiance and decor are a 10 for me.

Exceptional restaurant. Delectable plates and mouthwatering cocktails. Whether at the bar, main space or small rooms it is wonderful to see the ornamental accents.

Yearly girls night out dinner. This was our second choice since the first restaurant had no idea what happened to the reservation made online. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Ella’s redeemed our night. It is rare that I see my two friends so it was a nice treat to enjoy a good meal and unique delicious cocktails. It’s been a while since my last visit here, due to the pandemic, but it sure hasn’t changed much. Food was still delicious as always and the staff were friendly, attentive and professional. The beef tenderloin was heavenly and so was the steak tartar. My mouth is watering as I write this review. Next try would be the Tomahawk!! Classy and contemporary decor and overall fun experience and I’m glad we choose a consistent place to make new memories with. Ella’s clearly should’ve been the first and only choice. Will return many many more times.

Upscale place. Michelin rated. Shrimp and lobster salad was tasty. Bacon hamburger great. And the two Lobster rolls were also great. We had a nice conversation with minimal noise.

It had been awhile since I'd been back here but went tonight to celebrate a dear friend's bday. From the valet to the wait staff the service was spot on. The food was amazing and the drinks were yummy. Only hiccup was the wait person forgot to give me my leftovers. But when I called to let them know I was on my way back to get them they had it waiting for me. Definitely will be back for another special occasion.

Our server was amazing. The food was good, nothing to rave about. Drinks were ok. Food is a bit pricey. 32.00 for some fried chicken that's a little much for some regular fried chicken.

We came in wanting to try everything, but like most people, your stomach can only hold so much. The couple in my party started with some wine and the house gin and tonic, which they said was so refreshing! We started with the oysters, which were just okay to me. But I prefer Pacific oysters and these were from the east. The ramekin of mini pickles with the oysters, though…now these were delicious! And I don’t like pickles. We ordered the bone marrow dish, which was the only thing I was disappointed in, not because it didn’t taste good but because we only got one good bite out of it and two lesser pieces, which I understand because bone marrow is more of a delicacy and doesn’t come with much in a serving. I am happy to have tried it, but would rather spend the money on another order of the pork belly appetizer! Oh my goodness, this was SO GOOD! The sourdough bread slices that came out were satisfying after I smothered hem in the heavenly butter. I noticed the chef likes to lightly sprinkle salt flakes over most dishes, and this really added to the flavors in your mouth. Excellent touch! We ordered the sea bass, the mushroom risotto and the scallops. The sea bass I only tried a bite of and I didn’t get to taste the brussels sprouts, but what I had was really good and the person who ordered it loved his choice. Another person ordered the truffle mushroom risotto. I was scared to order this because truffle can often be overpowering and I didn’t want it to ruin my dish, but after tasting the dish, I wish I would have ordered it! Luckily she wasn’t able to finish the plate and I was able to have a side portion of it. They used different mushrooms and textures throughout the dish. It was so good! We almost said it was too rich to have as a full meal, but we said that while licking the plate. I ordered the scallops and my goodness, these were AMAZING! The salsify purée with the scallop bite was unbelievable. Out of room - texture, presentation, taste! WILL BE BACK

I love being able to walk in here for happy hour and get fantastic food/drinks for a great price. The steak tartare with garlic popovers is incredible! I also got the baked salmon ceviche which was equally good before finishing with a white chocolate panna cotta for dessert. Their happy hour menu changes often but I’ve never been disappointed. Their servers/staff (like Kaila!) are very attentive and top notch as well :)
