I stumbled upon this place while walking by and decided to try them for lunch. Really authentic Czech / Italian menu with regular and gluten free options. I got ravioli with a traditional potato and spicy sausage soup. Both were incredible and cozy! With ancestry from Poland, I’m really excited to come back and try more traditional Czech food from their menu. Neighborhood gem!

First time at this restaurant, 10/10! My partner and I rode our bikes here and sat out front in their patio. We were immediately greatly by a friendly waitress. The menu had a ton of options, everything sounded good. I’ve never had Czech food before so this was a first. We started with the bread appetizer- which they bake fresh daily- so soft and yummy, with a balsamic garlic basil dipping sauce. We shared the beet and peaches salad with blueberry goat cheese- so much flavor. And we split the entree, Chicken paprikas: it was a dark chicken thigh dish with a creamy red sauce, and hungarian egg noodles and that was FANTASTIC. Perfect comfort food. Everything tasted fresh. I can’t wait to come back and try more.

We were on our road trip across the US and we missed our cuisine. La Tratorria Bohemia made delicious potato pancakes!! We also tried schnitzel with potato salad and Bavarian goulash. Both were awesome! Greetings from Czech Republic. 🍻

This place is fantastic. I didn't know what to expect with a Czech Italian restaurant, but their bread is top notch. I had the pork picante and it came served on a nice, solid wooden dish that really elevated the experience. That does without saying it was delicious. Price came out to a very reasonable 70$ with two entrees and two glasses of wine. I will definitely be going back.

An absolute neighborhood GEM! First time here tonight, excellent service from the adorable staff, fantastic ambiance and vibe, the whole room was lit up with laughter and joy the entire time and a notable pristine and clean space and the food……THE FOOD! From the bread to the Spinach Ricotta Ravioli to the Pizza….just WOW! They even have gluten free options and were super accommodating for a fellow patron that was in a wheelchair tonight (it’s a small, quaint space and the whole restaurant got up and tucked their chairs in at one point so they could easily get by to their table 😊) and the wine and beer menu is perfect for pairing with the entrees. Can’t wait to go back again 😊😋

Very good restaurant when you can get a table. Don’t try to come without a reservation. We live a block away and have tried two evenings in a row at 5pm (granted it was a Friday and Saturday). Today it was mostly empty but they still told us they were completely packed, which I take to mean 100% of their tables are held for reservations.

This place was everything my friend said it would be🤩 the food was really good! It was my first experience with food from the Czech Republic. First we had the potato pancake as an appetizer which was so good! The combination of the crispy creamy potato pancake with the salty smoked salmon and the capers was so rich and yummy it's definitely enough for two or three people. I had the Bavarian goulash and my friend had the Chicken paprikash, they were both rich, tasty and filling. We also had some really good wine that was suggested to us by our server who was wearing a cute elve costume, it was Halloween. There was live music, and the staff was really friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was so inviting and warm I just loved it and plan on going back soon!

I’ve been wanting to try La Trattoria Bohemia for a while and my craving for pasta made it the perfect day to go! First off, I love going to private chef-owned restaurants, you just now they’re going to put everything they got into it. The place has got a cool and euro-art deco-ish decor and feel inside. The soft 80’s playing in the background with Simply Red‘s Holding Back The Years and Prince’s Nothing Compares 2U just wrapped it all up nicely. I started with some bread and dipping sauce, nothing out of the ordinary on the menu with garlic, olive oil however when it arrived topped with a pile of fresh chopped basil, that changed the game. The three sourdough slices I had layered with all that was amazing! My entrée was the homemade meat ravioli sauce baked casserole-style with fresh mozzarella cheese. It didn’t disappoint, the fresh pasta and sauce was delicious! In chatting with my friendly server Norma, I complimented her on everything and she asked if I’d like to meet the owner…how could I turn that down? Great conversation with Marco! He came here from Czechoslovakia, had experience cooking Italian food with aspirations of opening a Czech restaurant however didn’t feel he could sell that alone as a cuisine so he combined it with Italian food and here they are, 22 years later! I’m definitely coming back to try to Czech cuisine side of the menu, I highly recommend you tried as well! Cheers, Mel

Tried both the Italian and Czech food - The dumplings are a must! Everything else is good, but the showstoppers are definitely the Italian food. Don't get there too early! Lunch can get overwhelming, but the staff are champs and handle it incredibly well. Definitely a must try!

A great dining experience in a quaint restaurant. We went for the beer week Urban Root beer paring. My wife had the special meal which was pretty delish. Roast pork, potato pancakes and the star, homemade sauerkraut. It was excellent. I opted for chicken paprikash and was very pleased. Homemade spatzel accompanied chicken thighs in a delightful creamy paprika sauce. The apple strudel for dessert was light and just the right amount of sweet. Top it off with Czech beer and this was a winner. I will definitely be back.

This place is so good! I have had home made german dishes & was quite happy that my kids found this delightful place! Portions were large & filling. It's a Czech / Italian cuisine. The service is amazing.

Great food and friendly service. The food is Bohemian but the yummy potato pancakes with horse radish, the sausage platter and the goulash wouldn't be out of place in Germany and Austria. I think its better "German" food than you can find in the German restaurants in Sacramento. The kids like all the dishes and especially the amazing Apfelstrudel desert. We have been there many times and will keep going.

My wife and I have eaten here a few times, and we have been very impressed by everything we have tried. We especially like the Czech potato pancakes. We also like the small outdoor seating area.

Delicious, true European restaurant. Must try their Pork Goulash, slow cooked, tender on a bed of sauerkraut; comes with Czech dumplings, rosemary potatoes and a sour cream. Beer awesome!
