I would have to eat 3 of everything before being close to being able to decide what my favorite thing is! This place is a dream, there is God in these pastries I mean what can I say. Go here, eat anything, eat everything. You will be blessed. And no matter what you order, you have to get their best sellers. Do not leave without at least one of them.

Mahoroba Japanese Bakery is authentic, fresh, delicious and a great value. I appreciate the Japanese owner/chef – who works so fast – when he has a second to interact with other Japanese speaking people, you feel right at home. Thank goodness there’s no loud pop music, $5 lattes and people starring at laptops. The traditional an pan, croquette, yakisoba pan and fresh bread are here alongside scrumptious delicacies like Kobe cream and strawberries and cream. The delightful location is an important part of the triad consisting of Osaka Ya, Oto’s Marketplace and Mahoroba Japanese Bakery, the “new kid on the block.” I would place this establishment on the short list of top traditional bakeries. And yes, I’ve also been to Ettore’s, Estelle's, Freeport, Rick’s, Tower, La Bou, Old Soul, Bread Store, Panera, New Roma, the grocery stores and more. Take good care of yourself. I hope this unique bakery doesn’t become overly Americanized, Odaijini.

Delicious pastry, friendly service, nice neighborly atmosphere. Worth the 3 tries it took to find it open! When they sell out they close. We were there in the morning around 9:45 & the variety was great!

Great bakery with many yummy options. The bread is fluffy and delicious. The staff are fast and friendly. I always get the bacon and egg and something else - something savory and something sweet, and always delicious!

I got some pastries for my family and only tried the Sunrise bun and the Bacon and Egg pastry. It was so, so good! The sunrise bun resembled like a melon pan bread. The bread was sweet and topped with a cookie-like, soft crust. The bacon and egg pastry was like a savory danish but it was amazing. I’d get a thousand of them.

Best I have had ever. The cream cheese filled one's are really good, and the matcha filled ones as well. They have a variety of breads, red bean/ matcha/ lots of different savory ones. The place is really small and quite, staff was friendly. I would Def RECOMMEND!

Everything here is to go so come early and prepared to take your delicious baked goods on the go. Good spot to take a friend who’s coming to visit and the milk bread is to die for.

Nice, small bakery. The staff was friendly and patient. The strawberry anko bread had a nice chew. The cream was a bit sweet for me, but the strawberry and anko balanced that out. The teriyaki meatball bread had a crisp savory roasted cheese crust with firm white bread underneath. Unlike the 85 savory breads, this one is not oily at all. The meatballs are decent.

Cute bakery with a plethora of affordable goodies to try! Every item is less than $4 and just a few are more than enough to get you stuffed. Always busy so make time in your schedule. Try the Kobe cream buns!

Amazing authentic Japanese pastries at extremely affordable prices! Everything is amazing, and since most pastries are $2 or less you can afford to try everything! The Strawberry Anko is probably my favorite though. The fully bread, the luscious cream, and the subtly sweet red bean paste make it an all star. Highly recommended!
