One of my favorite local coffee shops, 1st photo is a cold brew, 2nd is a chai!
This is a shop I like to go to whenever I’m in the area. It was the home of my studying sessions. It was the place I got my cup of coffee to wake me up to start my day. They’re friendly and I love their breakfast! If you’re ever in a hurry and need food go here! Anyway, the interior is my favorite part it just makes me feel like I’m in my own Central Perk coffee shop ❤️.
Espresso Metro has been a go-to space for coffee throughout my tenancy at Sacramento City College. The coffee is always delicious, and there are plenty of flavor options available to add, such as sugar, cocoa powder, honey, and some others I can't think of off the top of my head. They have some food available, including pastries, sandwiches, and other healthy snacks. I recommend the breakfast bagel sandwiches highly. The music choices on the in-house radio are at the whim of the always-delightful staff and range from alternative rock and roll, to jazz, to classic rock. Overall, I've had nothing but pleasant experiences here and look forward to enjoying my company there again in the near future.
This was a few years ago. The coffee here is the best I've had, and at affordable prices along with a delicious selection of foods and desserts(especially the yummy and moist muffins and the filling breakfast burritos). I will always loved this little spot. I want to come back one day.

A neighborhood joint that serves everyone great coffee, fresh pastries, cookies, yummy grilled sandwiches, homemade pasta salads, soups , oatmeal, bagels, eggs, muffins, smoothies, and more... Locally owned for 30-plus years by a cool working mom who donates coffee to every school, sporting league, and event imaginable, this coffee spot deserves our business.
Vegetarian and vegan friendly.
I love Espresso Metro. As a City College student, I'm in here several days per week because the aesthetic is so much more comfortable than the school library. The employees are really nice and the prices on food and drinks are great. Plus, they taste amazing! My favorite thing to get is an Earl Grey tea with sourdough and brie. I also love the art, and how it rotates as the featured local artist changes from time to time. Highly recommend!
Great old 1960's coffee house feel that is long gone even in iconic locales like Berkeley(due to sky-high rents I'm sure). The coffee is good and the pastries are great. Where else can you overhear real political and philosophical discourse these days instead of the typical deadly silence of the I Phone immerest Starbucks crowd ?
I like this place because it has the feel of an authentic American coffee house like I enjoyed in my younger days in urban places. A place you can hang out and read or write or study, and interact with others or not. Amateur art on the walls by people who probably go there. Flyers for shows and art events. A cool vibe. The coffee is good, and there are appropriate food options. You might want to avoid it in the mid-afternoons on weekdays if you're not around 20 years old, because the place becomes crowded with a scene of people that age. One thing I like about it is that they open very early in the morning.

Good place for studying and a cup of coffee. There are plenty of food s to eat such as the gluten free brownies to the small containers of yogurt. Personally the vegan burritos are my favorite when I'm hungry. I believe they use Peerless beans for their coffee. Not to mention the power outlets and wifi.
Me and my girlfriend were walking our dog and stopped here.. It was really good. The harista was way polite and asked alot of questions which was cool and my white mocha was awesome. My girl took her chia latte into class even tho she never brings drinks in because it's a pain, so I know she liked her drink too! Great place, college oriented for sure tho
It's great! A coffee shop supported by a steady stream of City College students, and Land/Curtis/Hollywood Parkians. My only suggestions would be to make sure baristas don't have sniffly colds and scratch their noses, and ask people who order a latte with almond milk whether they want whipped cream... Other than that, everything is reliable, comfortable, cozy and delicious.
Super rich hot chocolate. Good sandwiches. It's a pretty hipster place, but in a good way. They don't try to be cool. They just are.
However those prices are a little steep.
It is now 5 Sips Coffee & Tea Sadly, but the service was great and the coffee was still fantastic as usual🤓
Any SCC student can tell you that Metro is THE place to go for a cup of coffee, an inexpensive lunch, an amazing cookie, or just a comfortable place to study. They've hit the college coffee shop trifecta with quality, cost, and proximity.
I generally only come here weekly, but many of my friends who have been at the school longer than I visit constantly, and have fond memories and glowing praise for the shop and its goods.
Decent coffee a plethora of food choices with several vegan options. A great alternative to eating on campus (this location is very near Sacramento City College). An easy on the wallet option with great selection.
Local coffee house that has a quiet atmosphere if you need to study or just relax with your thoughts. Their coffee is really good and reasonably priced. Always great to support local business.
