Long time customer.(No More). I've been going to this restaurant for over 50 years. I've been to every location that Joe ever opened. I moved to Oregon about 20 years ago but still went to the original restaurant, on Del Paso, at least once a year, upon our family visits to Sacramento. I knew Joe very well in the mid 1960's and 1970's and found him to be a very nice guy. I was sorry to hear that he passed away a number of years ago. I met some of his offspring a couple of years ago when renewing my patronage of the steakhouse.
I am now sad that I must report the way my wife and I were treated on Sunday, April 17th at about 8:15 PM.
We had arrived in Sacramento about 7 PM and checked into the Day's Inn on Jiboom street. When I got to our room about 7:30 PM, I call;ed Little Joes to ask when thery were closing for the evening, they advertise that they close at 9:30 PM every day, the male person I spoke with checked with "Nadia" ? and told me they would not close before 8:45 PM. When we arrived at 8:15 PM, a very surly male person told us that they were closed, this was affirmed by an older male person in the kitchen. When I explained that I had called to confirm and I was assured that we would be served 2 "I" Bone dinners. These people said that they knew nothing about our calling and that since the restaurant made only $100.00 for the evening,. that they closed the establishment early. This does not sit well with us, so we are breaking off our 50 year relationship with this estasblishment. If this is the way they normally treat their loyal customers, then I can understand the low attendance. They may as well close their doors now, as I plan on spreading the word about how they treat their customers. I will be very surprised if they are still in business this time next year. RIP Joe. .

Good old fashion food and service. The key word is "good". Both the food and the service were great. I was glad as I was hoping it would be in this fun piece of Sacramento history. It is my new favorite place to meet friends and clients for breakfast when I am in town.

Love Lil Joe's. The hamburgers are great, friendly, the service fast and prices are for the frugal. My kids enjoy the pancakes and wife the pork chops. Try it after a day of shopping at the Arden Fair Mall : ))

Checking out reviews to see if you should go to Lil Joe's? Look no further! Lil Joe's Is the perfect diner breakfast and lunch meals you're looking for. The customer service was outstanding. From the waitresses to the cooks to even the owner everyone was so friendly and caring. Some of my posted pictures are of some Bundt cakes The owner made in the morning and they were absolutely magnificent! This was my husband's and my first time visiting the historic establishment. We were absolutely blown away with how affordable and delicious the food was and how incredible the service was. We cannot wait to come back and dine and try more of their awesome breakfast and lunch menues! Highly recommend their sourdough toast and breakfast burger!!

Really good diner food. Great covered patio. Bacon French toast was LUX! Covered in fruit and syrup, hands down best breakfast dessert I’ve had in a long time. Also the veggie omelette had beautiful fried tomatoes on top, and loads of perfectly done vegetables. Very nice wait staff, and I think one of the kitchen guys might have been the owner checked on us to make sure we liked it. Will 100% be coming back a lot.

I used to go to Lil Joe's as a teenager when it was open for 24 hours. I was sad to see 👀 it closed a while back. And now it has reopened with beautiful outdoor seating and awesome service from people who actually are committed to improving the community. The music is a great touch, and the T-Bone steak breakfast is my favorite. 😍 It was actually on special that day. I recommend supporting this business.

Lil Joe's on Del Paso BLVD. Has been a family fave for so long. As a child, my family took me so many happy memories. In the 1980s and 90' s, I took my kids. It's always been easy to get to, quick to get seated. Lil Joe is now standing at the golden cash register in the sky, welcoming all he sees. A man who used to be a patron loved the nice vibe of Lil Joe's, so he bought the restaurant and brought it back to life. Thank the good lord for that! I had the most delicious Bacon Pecan French Toast. It was the best I've ever had. I definitely order it again. My husband had New York steak with eggs and hashbrowns and coffee. Everything was perfect and delicious!

Amazing Diner. Was greeted as soon as we entered and made to feel like we been there before. Ordered the chicken fried steak and T bone. Both were great. Coffee was fresh and my cup never got empty. Met the new owner and got to try one his amazing cakes. Willl definitely be back again.

I was a customer of the old Little Joe's and I stopped going there. It took me a long while to drive and Park and go inside and eat, I was pleasantly surprised good service, I had the barbecue sandwich and I will have it again. It is very hard for a restaurant to survive in this neighborhood and I wish them the best.

I go way back to the 70s when it comes to Little Joe's steakhouse. It's got a new owner. I've only eaten here once and had the biscuits and gravy. It was as good as anybody else's. Seem to have a decent breakfast menu. That's the only menu I looked at so I can't comment on anything else.

I was looking on Google Maps for a steak breakfast, and what a find! Lil Joe's has been open almost 70 years, and the clientele is the old faithful who come here every day. I've posted a look of the steak and eggs (minus some of it I'd already eaten). I got it with sourdough toast and they also have Smuckers strawberry jam. Steak, two eggs, salad, and toast for about $20. I like my steak pink in the middle, and it was perfectly cooked and very tender. I'm coming back to try other things on the menu. Prices are good, and I watched this procession of phat burgers and other American classics. The owner is John. Try this place. Tell him Richard sent you. 😁

Lil Joes is one of our favorite local go to places for weekend breakfast. We used to frequent Joes when it was open 24/7, but hours have changed and they close at 2 p.m. The veggie Bennie and Joes Special are delicious for a very reasonable price. Easy parking, friendly staff, lots of booths, and a really cute dog-friendly outdoor seating area. Del Paso Blvd. has really come to life over the past decade with lots of families and pedestrian traffic. Why haven’t you tried Lil Joe’s yet?!?!
