The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had the au jus with mine which just added that much to the already delicious sandwich! The kids devoured their sandwiches and enjoyed a brownie as well. Definitely a new favorite when we visit the area!!
Been there a few times. Food is awesome best philisteak sandwich in town, service is great. The pleace needs a bit of work to make it an all star winner. No music on the background makes the ambiance tense, napkins and stuff are not well stocked, tables empty but not clean.
I did not expect a place this yummy to be HERE. The employees working were super friendly and incredibly passionate about making Phillies.
My mom wanted to order a veggie Philly (an idea that seemed so foreign and wrong to me) but the gentleman behind the counter explained WHY their veggie Phillies are awesome and delicious. My mom got both a regular Philly AND a vegetarian Philly.
I got a HUGE Philly. There was tons of meat and cheese. I ordered my Philly exactly as they offer it and it was no disappointment. It kept me full for hours to come.

I had just had knee replacement surgery and when I got home I didn’t have much of an appitite but for some reason I was craving Phat Jerry’s phillie cheese steak sandwich. I ordered on line for delivery. My food was delivered within 40 min. I live a ways from the restaurant and the sandwich was piping hot. So hot that I had to let it cool down. Not like most places where you usually need to put it in the microwave. The sandwich was delicious. So much meat, just the right amount of spice! I also ordered a side salad which was very good although it had opened up in the bag and some had spilled in the bag. No biggie it too was delicious! Thank you for making my day a lot better.
Been going here for several years now, I craved it when I was pregnant and I would highly recommend going…. My personal favorite 6 in with meat and cheese only and steak fries with a side of the bbq sauce that I do believe is homemade, a little spicy they should make one less spicy also but either way it’s addicting and I will continue coming there as long as it’s still open!!!!

Getting a good Philly cheese steak is like a endless quest for me, there are a lot of places in Sac where you can get one, most are pretty good, but its few and far between where you finish one and tell your self "that was awesome!"
Somebody on reddit was asking for suggestions for a cheese steak, most of them were you standard locations, but Phat Jerry's was getting a lot of love on that thread, so the wife and I decided to take a lunch time trip down to watt ave to try one out.
We decided to get the "hoagie" cheese steak we like a little bit of lettuce, tomato and mayo on our cheese stakes. After about 10 mins our food was ready and we went to where we were parked to check them out.
These had so much meat, cheese, onions that we could tell it was going to be a challenge to eat these without making a mess. I wasn't expecting the lettuce and tomato's to just be sitting on top of it all but it didn't look like there was any other option to put it.
After waiting a couple of mins for them to cool down enough to pick them up and start. I took my first bite... WOW!!! these were good, there are some peppers in there that have a little bit of a kick. not so hot where it takes away from the flavor, but still pretty hot. (boarderline for us) The bread was hot and soft, there was a ton of meat and cheese and we were stuffed after we were done. The onion rings were awesome also! I think my quest for a killer cheese steak is complete, I now know that if I want a killer cheese steak we are heading to Phat Jerry's!!!!
The cheesesteak sandwiches are the absolute best in all of the Sacramento area and trust me, I've tried them all..from Roseville to Davis. I am from the East Coast and I know what a good Philly cheesesteak is!

So, my brother happened to come across this place when looking for a good sandwich shop in our area. After checking out some pics and thumbing through reviews, we decided we had to try it. This pace is freakin awesome! When we first tried them we lived much closer just down Madison. 4 years later my brother and I more than willing to drive down from shingle springs to get ahold of one of the awesome super phillies with extra meat (as recommended by the owner) and some of the best curly fries I've ever had! If you get the chance to get close to this place I highly recommend stopping by!

But please don’t clean the bathrooms while customers are eating…. The chemicals spread all over the place and next thing you know, you’re eating a stake with chemicals….
While visiting Sacramento for work, we’re always looking for the hole in the wall, locally owned, places to eat. This place is a Jem! The food was better than what we read and Jerry was there!!
In the time it took us to get our orders, he has us smiling and laughing with him. Very authentic guy!! I will be coming back for sure next time with me and my crew!!
This is the probably the best Philly Cheese Steak sandwich I have had in the Sacramento area. The staff is friendly. The original Philly is delicious. If you are looking for a good Philly, do not pass up Phat Jerry's.

Today I ordered the Vegetarian cheesesteak. The pics they have on the website don’t do it justice. I had to check twice to make sure they didn’t give me a regular cheesesteak, that’s how good it looked and tasted.
I’m not a vegetarian. In fact, six days ago I had an original Philly cheesesteak from Gino’s when I was in Philly last week. And I’ve had a cheesesteak my first time coming here. That’s why I came back never thinking I’d enjoy the vegetarian version just as much! (The onion rings are fantastic as well.)

& one onion rings & soda for lil extra.
Everything was cooked fresh to order and was D'lish.
We dined in today!

we loved this place. i had a chicken philly sandwich, which was delicious. hubby had a philly steak sandwich with curly fries. he liked his sandwich too but thought it was missing something like sauce maybe. we both agreed that the fries were cooked to perfection (crisp, not soggy at all), but tasted gross due to the flavor of the grease they were cooked in. too bad because they would have been great. this place is very accessible but bring a friend to help you with the front door. the restroom is family style and appeared to be accessible as well, although i didn't go in. this place was very clean when we were there. no odors. I wish they served unsweetened drinks like plian iced tea.
Best philly cheesesteak sandwich in Sacramento. Love the staff, love the owner, love the food. I don't live in Sacramento anymore but whenever I visit, it's one of my first stops for lunch!
