Great place for lunch. The staff are all wonderful people. Great salad bar with lots of fresh choices. Both the restaurant next door and the Soup & Salad bar are top notch. Don't let the looks fool you.

11 - 11:45 is the sweet spot for just a salad for lunch. 6 bucks and some change will get you a large salad to-go, which is more salad than you can eat, promise. Their Italian dressing is savory tongue grabbing and in stock. For a salad with the fixings to keep you going I highly recommend this place. cheap and exactly what it needs to be. they offer other stuff but I'm just down for a big ass salad some days. Heed the sweet spot time, after that the cows (state workers) come out to graze. Update 3-29-18: Just tried the $8 dine-in special, salad and soup combo. There really isn't a better deal for your money and their chili is awesome. Combine that with the toppings you want and it's a really filling lunch.

One of my favorite spots for a quick salad. They have a large salad bar that is usually fresh with lots of choices. They serve soup and chili as well as sandwiches. I've only had soup and salad so I can't speak for the sammies but prices are very reasonable and soups are good.

Favorite salad bar in Sac, hands down. For $7 you get a pretty large container which you can fill with anything at the bar. They have a very good selection of toppings and their produce is always fresh. Staff is very friendly as well!

Great place for lunch and a great value. Very large salad bar with lots of fresh choices, fruits, dressings, and cottage cheese. My default place for a big appetite. As stated by another reviewer, don't let the looks fool you; it's very clean and well maintained.

Love to eat lunch here! Been here 5 x's. Very good selection, soup and chili outstanding, good seating, services are good, friendly staff, well kepted and clean. Prices reasonable. Overall a really good place to go if you are a salad bar fan and on a budget. I always walk away full and happy! A great place to eat downtown. 🍴🍛😊

This place is a nice little gem for those who are looking for something cheaper, but healthy. Come here for the Soup & Salad AYCE combo. It's hard to mess up salad, and as long as you can be consistent with soup, you'll come out ahead. This place does both. It use to be under $7, but it's now $7.50 for the combo. They generally have 3-4 soups on hand that day, one of which most likely will be chili. Make sure to get in earlier or closer to noon, because once the soups start running out, they generally won't replace them as time inches closer towards 1 PM. As a reminder: you bust your own dishes.

Good salad bar and a nice rotating selection of soups and chili. Come early if you can, sometimes they run out of items and don't replenish them, and there's sometimes long lines at the salad bar and cashier during the lunch rush.

Great place if you're looking a cheap place to get lunch! And the produce is fresh! But stick to the salad and soup combo (But more the salad, soup is meh) Everything else, stay away from it (sandwiches and pasta). Besides that, salads are great!

This place is off the hook. I had a salad soup and pasta for only six bucks also a chocolate pudding. Everything tasted homeade and delicious . The pasta was a little bland so i switched it for there chili which was exquisite . The only thing is it that you have to pay for parking like a lot of places downtown . Id definitely bring people back again. :)
