My wife her sister and I had dinner at 6:30 pm on Monday the 29th of December. We were greeted warmly as we walked into the restaurant by the manager Larry LeSieur. We were taken directly to a table, without reservations, even though the restaurant was almost full. The service was prompt despite being busy. The new decor was fresh with just enough of the old to make us feel old customer comfortable. We had drinks delivered within a couple of minutes along with warm bread and butter. We ordered the crab cakes as a appetizer which were very good. My wife and I ordered the steak for two special and her sister had a crab, shrimp combo entree salad. We were celebrating a birthday and were given as dessert a piece of cake with a candle. We were all pleased with the total experience, the price was reasonable and so we will return soon. The only comment for change would be I missed the Old Buggy Whip's signature salad dressing.
Promptly seat. Service was right on. The prime rib done to perfection and juicy. Definitely will be back.
I haven't ate there in years, but I can tell you it was one of the best in Sacramento at that time
