Proof that I will drive an hour for good onion rings. (Forgot to take a photo of onion rings until they were half gone, you will have to use your imagination). Hands down, the best onion rings I have ever had. In fact next time we won't order anything else because the rings are more than enough to eat for two. Both of us packed our lunch order up in to-go boxes to take with us. I had the hamburger steak which came with potato casserole and baby limas. My wife went with the fried chicken. We were the only customers for awhile, nice, old restaurant vibe at South of the Border, right outside of St. Francisville on US-61.
All around 5 star!!! GREAT FOOD!!! Awesome service,, Clean restaurant,,,my husband was impressed with the waiters timing,, we finished each dish as the next one came out!! We loved the water!!!! Filtered twice! We drank more water then our diet cokes,,lol

Our second Saturday night in a row!! The food is amazing and the staff is friendly! Can’t wait to try everything on the menu! So far the stuffed shrimp is our favorite! The steaks, onion rings and mustard greens are all so good too!! Our new little hidden gem!

Have always wanted to stop and for once we were starving when we passed so I wheeled around and I'm glad we did. Food was amazing and the waitress was great. Can't wait to go back.
