Tried the Triple Threat burger and it was amazing! And that's an understatement! The hand pattied burger patty was topped with some of the most amazing "melt in your mouth" kind of pulled pork I've ever had! They topped that with baked, then fried, then grilled bacon! Yep, that's right! It was amazing! Crispy heaven in every bite! And the sauce they used to top it off was bomb! Service was on point as well. Front covered patio looks out over the bay and added an awesome view to top off our dinner. Must visit if in the area!

Being from out of town, I asked a local where a good place to eat was. He suggested The Gangplank and it did not disappoint. Awesome food. The kids liked the handheld toys to pass the time while we waited for our food. The kids (teenagers) were skeptical on whether they would like the place, but were saying how much they wanted to come back by the end of the meal. Definitely going to revisit!

Great food and service! Highly recommend Lil'Tater for server, naan bread, cucumber and hummus appetizer, and you must try the chips and homemade salsa! My favorite "go to" there is the chicken pita!!!

What a great place! Stopped in on a whim after a recommendation from Castle Rock staff. The whitefish tacos were as good as she said, and I don't usually like fish. Also, as good as the meal was the friendliness of our server; I think her name was Tina. We will be back next year and will recommend it to everyone.

We stayed 3 nights in town and our meal here was the best by far. I had the ribs and the wife had the shrimp. Both were excellent. Our waiter was also friendly, helpful, pleasant and fun. Thank you!

Haven’t been in St Ignace in 40 yrs! June 7th we happened to stop at the Gangplank! Wonderful Mac Attack burger and a Shrimp Sandwich. Headed back home on Sunday, June 10th. Stopped in again! Loved the Angry Poor Boy and the Cluck Cluck Chicken. Bloody Mary Sunday. Can’t wait to come back!

We stopped in St. Ignace after leaving Mackinac Island. We happened to walk by this wonderful restaurant by the water. The food was amazing. My husband had the Mac Attack burger, and I had the pulled pork. My son is picky, so they were very accommodating and fixed him a plain grilled chicken sandwich on a bun. The burger had so much flavor, and my pulled pork had a yummy coleslaw on it. The staff were friendly and personable. Highly recommend

I cannot remember the last time I cleaned my (very full) plate at a restaurant. I chose this place for my family and in-laws because of the vibe and rating on Google Maps, and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of unique takes on classic foods. The vibes were excellent (wish there wasn't a road between the restaurant and lake, but not their fault), the service was great, the fries were incredible, and the food ... WOW it was good. Everyone was satisfied. Will definitely come back again when visiting the area.

The Gangplank had some really fun and interesting food choices. There were so many things we wanted to try! We ordered the buffalo cauliflower pita and Hoolihan sandwich (which had pork, cheese curds, and spiciness). Both sandwiches came with delicious, thick cut French fries. There were great vegetarian and gluten free options (gf buns available!). The drinks were also good. The server was great, but we waited for our food for what felt like too long, so if you’re in a hurry this might not be the place for you. They are also not environmentally considerate- lots of plastic and waste. Overall a good experience.

Excellent service…. Great offerings! We had the White fish basket and the Buffalo cauliflower pita….. could have used a little more cauliflower in it but it was all very tasty!! Hand cut fries that were VERY good! The couple we went with also very much enjoyed their food…. A Fish sandwich and a crazy Cuban. Will definitely be back again! Thank you for a great experience!

I eat here every time I'm up here...so good and have never had a bad meal or bad service. Highly recommend it! My 10 and 7 year old even had the gator bites and loved it! Thank you for always being reliably good!

We had a nice dinner here on our vacation. The place was busy, tables full, one six top available. The owner told me he'd seat us there, and if it got busy or a two top was available we could move. Carson was our server, very efficient, he took great care of us. My wife had the whitefish tacos and loved them!! I had the Cajun shrimp tacos, delicious, just the right amount of seasoning. Friendly staff, family atmosphere, I recommend The Gangplank for all the above.

Staff was amazing, they said they were short staffed but we would have never known. Recommended appetizer & main dishes were on point. Vegetarian meals were fantastic. Animal fries, cheese curds, Asain rice bowl with cauliflower. Great outdoor seating area, nice view of the bay & fireworks when they are going off. Seasonal restaurant.

Had dinner at this place on the water. Everything we had was delicious! My fiancé and I split some appetizers and the poor boy sandwich and had leftovers to bring back to our campsite. The vampire bread was soooo delightfully garlicky. We split a fishbowl and felt a buzz off it and it tasted really good. Not sure if it was all so good because we were buzzed but we were happy with everything we ordered. Staff was very attentive given how busy they were. They should definitely expand this place!

I had the Greek Salad and Fried Cheese Curds and I must say it was THE BEST I’ve ever had of these two items!!!! The salad was so fresh and amazing!! The cheese curds were not your typical. I do not know what they did to them but wow!!!! Great vibe. Great server. Great place!!! The best freshest ingredients!

Just stopped for a quick bite. Gator bites were spicy and good. Vampire bread really garlic (this is good in our book) and good bruschetta. Chips and salsa very good with fire roasted peppers. Good service. Nice place, even with a few understandable things not available due to being off season.

Outdoor seating only, small but cozy. The drinks were good and had a variety of beers! Food came out quickly and fresh. My husband ordered the fish tacos and said they were some of the best he's had. I ordered the Animal Frys which were fabulous! Also the burger was ok- nothing to brag about but also not terrible.

Wife and I were there on a Friday so it wasn’t busy. Small place so food took a bit of time but not bad, be patient. Gator bites are legit, delicious. Usually not a fan of their type of fries but these were done perfectly. Love the patio vibe. Great place

The Gangplank has some of the best food we enjoyed during our vacation around Lake Michigan. It is right on the main road though St. Ignace, MI. You have a beautiful view of the marina as you sit and have scratch made food from a good selection on the menu. We had some great Cheese Curds with a excellent dill dipping sauce. My wife and I both had the pita dishes and they were perfect. The pita bread was fresh and homemade. The service is beyond fast and friendly. They checked on us without being overly interruptive. We will definitely eat here again is we are ever in the area.

Cool spot with a harbor view… limited seating but worth the wait. Whitefish sandwich, shrimp po boy, and turkey pastrami pita we’re all 10 out of 10’s. Plan on spending a couple hours here and relax.

I had the salad was delicious. They also serve non-alcoholic beer. Everything was fixed fresh so it took a little while before the food came out. I even had homemade dressing on my salad. It was a garlic vinaigrette. The only thing that could have made this better is if the restaurant was on the side with the water.
