What a great place to stop and enjoy a variety of cold brews. Fun and friendly beer server and an amazing brewpub dog, Barley

Definitely a hidden gem. I highly recommend it; the food is good and the beer is awesome!
I'll cut to the chase: I'm a man of beer. When I step in my local price chopper and look at the beer section, it's like I've stepped into the national gallery. I'm. In. Fucking. Ecstasy. When I'm sucking down succulent, bitter, hoppy goodness, I get a rush. "I am a god!" exclaims my heart as I pound the peebers. When I caught wind of the golden and muddy darkness of St. J Brewery, I took a step back: a great brewery, in my area, the NEK? Sounds about right . And it is! Quality beer, quality people, quality Drew. I haven't had a hoagie yet, but I'm a hungry boy. Will def be around again.
Between the amazing flavors on tap, the great company of Scott behind the bar and the seven year old "puppy", Saint J brewery is by far one of my favorite Vermont breweries. Definitely worth the trip!
Best beer I've had in a while. Price was in my opinion not enough for the beer. It was that good. Go Sox
Really comfortable service, interesting and varied selection of good beer. In a mall, which is weird and wonderful.
We stopped in this weekend for a flight and a sandwich. Nice place with good beer and good food.Scott was very friendly and knowledgeable If you are in the area stop in for a cold one.
Awesome beers! Scott is great and anyone who likes to talk beer should come here. What a well rounded brewery, with a diverse portfolio of beers that will tickle taste buds through every drop. Highly suggested. Highly recommended. Make sure you check this place out.
Best beer I've ever had. We'll be back without a doubt!
Great beer & and great brewer. Well worth a visit!
Their Brown Chaga really is a thing of beauty. Great service and great beer!

We had the opportunity to meet the brewer and his brother. They were both so friendly and attentive. The beer was fantastic, we took some home with us!
Great service and comfortable atmosphere. Beer is great. Food is great as well.... Hoagies, pizza etc. The pickled eggs are awesome.
Owner Scott, great host!
Great tasting beer, loved the smoking j ipa. Definitely will be going back for more and some food.
Had a great time. Owner seemed friendly and excited about brewing. I'll definitely be back for the Smokin J IPA.
Chill atmosphere, great beer, and the doggo is always happy to see new customers!!!
Great service! Sampled the flight of their own brews. Will definitely be back!
The beer was great. My husband had a brown chaga and I had the kombucha. Bother were very good. The place itself was small and charming. We didn’t order food but I did take a picture of the menu. Best of all they allowed our dog to come in and join us. Which was beyond awesome. Everyone inside was nice and welcoming. It is inside a rundown empty mall but it has plenty of parking. It’s next to a dollar tree and ocean state job lots. It’s doesn’t have mixed drinks or cocktails but does have soda.
Do not be offput by the location. Despite being located between a Dollar Tree and Ocean State Job Lot, it is a hidden gem. Their beers are great and food menu is actually surprisingly good.
Wonderful service and good beers. They are also a hoagie bar, but we had just eaten prior to arriving. They have very unique beers you won't find replicated elsewhere in the state. My favorite was the beers with chaga, a wild growing mushroom. So stop on in!
Great place with tasty beer. The Smokin J IPA is unique and surprising. I really dig the Double Citra J - fruity and delicious. The owner is friendly and always happy to talk beer. As Bostonians who love their beer, we were really pleased by stumbling in here (and stumbling back out).
This really is a hidden gem. It's in The Green Mountain Mall, a slowly dying mall and is surrounded by closed stores. However, it is a wonderful place to get some incredible beer and delicious snacks. I had a burrito that was filled with deliciously spiced meats.
The trick is to park just to the right of Ocean State Job Lots and go in the mall entrance there.
Service is great and the people are very very friendly.
Excellent beer! We especially liked the Gingerbread Porter and the Brown Chaga. The Raspberry Wheat was also a great, refreshing summer brew. The food was good, too! We got a pretzel with some delicious wasabi mustard and a classic pub pickle. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area! We're excited for cans eventually, so we can bring them back to the campsite when we're enjoying the VT wilderness.
Moved here this year. Went to over 50 breweries in CT as part of their passport club. I can say that besides this brewery, only 1 other one did I enjoy more than 3 of their beers. Saint J has 9 consistent beers plus a couple guest. I did not even want to try the guest. I could drink any one of these beers all night and be completely happy and satisfied. Scott the owner and brewer is one of the most humble and friendly guy u will ever meet. He is the Gordon Ramsey of brewing. They have the Brown Chaga...a cross between a nut brown and an oatmeal stout made from the Chaga mushroom, Smokin J IPA with jalapeños, St Stevens Russian Imperial Stout made with Anise and vanilla, Carpet Crawler a triple brewed with 5 different hops and the smoothest easiest drinking 9% beer i have ever had, then a mango IPA, a American Blonde, A raspberry Wheat,a double Citra, his only lager is Taco Loco made from pineapple, limes and jalapenos as well as a varying Saint series. Not only r the beers incredible, the prices are a bargain. Where else can u find a 6pk flight of 5oz beers for $10. Pints from $5 to $7, even the 9% pints only $7. Also sells growlers, logs, as well as kegs!! Also available on tap a woodchuck cider, a blueberry kombucha and a rasberry, a Chaga tea and a root beer.
Okay I read the food reviews and they r mixed, and here are my two cents. If u r coming to the brewery expecting to find a kitchen staff and a wait staff , where the food is your main interest, this is not your place. In the limited space , they have a pizza oven, a toaster oven and a microwave and a paninni press. However , when u can get anything from a grilled cheese to a nice burrito, a pulled pok hoagie to a number of different paninni 's all for under $7, I would say u have some nerve complaining about it.
Highly recommend this establishment for anybody that enjoys and appreciates a good brew.
Great beers. Their Smoken J is the best I've ever tasted. Friendly people and the owner is a great guy along with any other staff. Has a limited menu that is good. A pub feel. Don't miss this brewery.
Tried his beer at the 2018 Mt Snow Brew Fest and never went to any other venders. His Brown Chaga was fantastic, the blond was a nice alternative and the Saint Steven was very good.
My fav was the Brown Chaga!! Too bad you’re so far away from Wilmington otherwise you’d have a regular customer!
Food was good, beer was good, gentleman working was very friendly. More of a dinner feel than a brewery. Would go back again.
To all craft beer lover's out there this place is a must to stop and try the outstanding creations this man that owns this hidden jewel has passion for making great beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Barley the dog is great and
Complimentary homemade pizza was delish; as was the mookie rocks sundae
Truly a hidden gem. Staff and customers very friendly and the beers were all very very good.
Was OK, food is microwaved and not made fresh but is a nice place to stop in while at the Green Mt. Mall.
