THE FOOD: The walleye was hot and fall-apart tender, crispy and flavorful crust. Some pinbones, but that's whatever. Their carrot side dish was excellent, and their mashed potatoes had a creamy garlic taste to them.
THE VIBE: Intimate table seating, low-key bar seating towards the middle, moody lighting, cozy fireplace.
THE SERVICE: I sat at the bar, there was plenty of room. The bartender got to me right away and was consistently attentive, and my food came out quickly.
Definitely will come back, I try to eat here whenever I'm near SJ.
THE VIEW. I love a lake view, pair that with amazing food? Sign up me up, twice! The fish was fried so perfectly, it was even good as leftovers. The beet salad was surprisingly flavorful and had balanced texture. The mocktail was refreshing. All that with great company, it was a great experience.
Lovely resturants for date night or fine cocktails. Fair prices for the quality of food, service, and ambiance. Would recommend for special occasions or classy date nights. Special menus have great rotating options! The cowboy ribeye was a delightful bone in Ribeye Steak. The parmasian crusted walleye on the regular menu was also wonderful. The service from our staff Alex was superb! We will definitely be back in the near future!
We chose RyeBelle’s based on its proximity to the beach. It’s just a short walk to beautiful Lake Michigan! My husband and I both ordered perch. It didn’t disappoint!

I did think that woman's bathroom could use a floral arrangement or better handwashing soap.

Great dinner, great service, great drinks, great view. Our new favorite spot!
We ate upstairs, it was busy but we got a seat right away, thankfully, we were starving after a long ride from Chicago. Server was very attentive and the food was amazing. My daughter tried the fish tacos and enjoyed Mahi Mahi for the first time and loved it.
I only rated a four because it was very loud.
There was a table of children with their mother and they were very disrespectful, disruptive and had tantrums. I felt really bad for the couple next to them.
I don't usually complain about kids but the mother seemed oblivious. It was sad and made me uncomfortable.
Located in down town Saint Joseph, Rye Belles is definitely a stop for an outstanding dinner, one that is romantic, friendly staff that is attentive and caring, and not horrible on the wallet, this is your place. Don't hesitate, for this is excellent dining, and during non-snowy weather a rooftop view of Lake Michigan! Special shout out to our server, of our group 12, Kristine! Thank you!
This is a nice place to stop if you're looking for a good dinner. I sat at the bar and enjoyed their Manhattans and Old Fashioneds. The pork ribeye was absolutely delicious. Enjoy.

This place certainly defied my expectations! And they were already high based on the great location and atmosphere. Everyone was super friendly and it was doubtlessly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. The truffle fries were also delicious. Nice and crispy and perfectly flavored.
Nice rooftop view of the lake combined with the friendly service, great quality food, and fair prices, makes for one of the best places to eat in downtown. I highly recommend The RyeBelle Burger because it was so juicy and beefy combined with the smoky taste of the grill and homemade brioche bun made for one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. My wife got the Margherita pizza and she absolutely loved it! Would definitely comeback if I’m in the area again!

Stopped in for Friday dinner. Rooftop was full, but the hostess assured us there was no waiting for the dining room and showed us immediately to a table.
The waitress brought us water and took our drink order. Our Ahi Tuna appetizer came out quickly, and was delicious. A different version than they had in the past.
It's always hard to choose from the well designed menu. We ordered the Lake Perch dinner, Belle's Chicken, and the (fantastic) Brussels Leaf Salad, minus bacon, to share. Sides of baked/mashed potatoes and asparagus. All perfectly prepared and presented. I've never had a bad dish, let alone a meal, here.
The waitress was gracious and pleasant. She seemed to be the only one for the whole floor, with an occasional hand from the kitchen delivering meals. How she managed as well as she did while keeping her smile, I don't know.
We ordered the Fireside Shrimp appetizer. OMG!! The serving size was wonderful. The subtle zing was delightful. It was by far, the best we have ever had, across many states!!
The adult beverages were full bodied!

Great food. We enjoyed a cocktail on the outside rooftop patio, then went inside for a veggie pizza and some calamari. All the food tasted great! Service was great on the inside restaurant!
Cozy spot to enjoy a meal. Lucky to get spot in front of fireplace after ice skating for an hour. My teen really like her scallops but wished for more!
Enjoyed great flavors of several appetizers at the rooftop. Had the bartender make me a very tasty pineapple tequila sunrise. Custom drink order they did with a smile. Good atmosphere and pretty sunset.
