We got the prix fixe 6 course dinner with wine pairings! If we could rate this 4.5 stars I would. The service was very good and we consistently got each pairing with the food (albeit a couple minutes after the food came each time). I would have loved to hear from our server why they paired each wine with the dish. The food itself was also very good, just the right size portions to make you full at the end without being stuffed. We loved the pappardelle, salmon tartare and chocolate dessert most! One minor suggestion is to use more acidity in the dishes throughout to make them pop. Thanks for hosting us for our special anniversary.

We had a great dinner experience here. We ordered the chef testing course and it was delicious. The amount of the food is just right. The speed for delivery each course was smooth, each dish was the right temperature. Our waiter had a very good knowledge of each dish.

In the middle of the hill, this restaurant departs slightly from the traditional Italian vendors to offer a very modern Italian American cuisine in cute kitschy surrounds. The inside is covered in postmodern warhol-esque art and the low lighting makes it perfect for a romantic date. The outside has a well developed seating area, with 5 or 6 tables staffed by 2 perfectly attentive waiters. The food itself changes often due to the nature of it's local sourcing, and while the plates are small, the food is delicious. It's takes ordinary American foods and converts them through traditional italian herbs and oils into fusion food. Whatever you get, don't forget to add the bread sampler to your appetizers list, five may be a modern Italian restaurant, but they house- make traditional breads and oils like no other Side note: there is no netting or screen on the outside wearing area, so just be award that in summer, you may be subject to mosquitoes.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time on Mother's Day. We had the 4 course Mother's Day special. The courses consisted of a mushroom and cheese ravioli, caesar salad, either a steak or scallop entree and a chocolate cake with whipped cream and candied pecans. All of the food was very good. The service was great as well. The only issue we had was the portion size is on the smaller side. We eat tasting menus quite often, so it was a shame that both of us left the restaurant wishing for a little more to be content. They do have a 6 course menu so the portions may be perfect for that tasting experience.

Food is perfect. The menu is set, I wasn't able to find it online before we went so it was a surprise. They accommodated a vege option for us that was good. The price point is high. $60/plate. The ambiance is under par. A combination of music, people at the bar, loud talking in the kitchen wasn't ideal. Overall, delicious and high-end experience.

We went to this restaurant last night to celebrate my birthday. The server and I believe the restaurant manager were both very attentive and kind. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The bread was amazing. Delicious pasta!

Wow. Just wow. Exactly what a restaurant should be. Service - Exceptional. Kevin was the epitome of a waiter. Prompt, polite, knowledgeable, professional, but not to the point of being snooty. Atmosphere/Ambiance - modern, classy. If the weather is nice, I highly recommend dining in the beautiful outdoor patio and garden. Food - will not disappoint. J. Devoti doesn't mess around with culinary execution. The food is fresh, homemade, and locally sourced. Each course was perfectly timed. And, the kitchen even provided a couple extra small dishes for us to try. I will say, the house made pasta was excellent. But, I really can't make any specific menu recommendations - everything we had was delicious. It's all of these little touches that make for a truly remarkable dining experience. Well done, J. Devoti. Well done.

Fabulous experience at this gem of a place. We chose the four-course tasting menu with wine pairings and couldn't have been more tickled with the meal. Reserve your table quick before this venue gets discovered by the masses.

Limited, but wonderful farm to table menu. Homemade pasta, hand thrown pizza, nice atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff…well-priced to boot! As a picky Brooklyn transplant with Sicilian family roots I don’t give Italian restaurant praise easily. Go - you won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful experience! I went as a treat for my birthday and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The food itself was excellent. I ordered the bread appetizer and I could’ve eaten it for days. My main dish was a good cacio e pepe that was a generous portion. The dessert was excellent as well.

Very much enjoyed the meal. Let's start with hostess and servers--friendly, affable--Kim was especially kind. Atmosphere was really nice--not too loud nor crowded. Decor was clean but not stuffy--comfortable, simple and classy. Food was spot on--refined and properly sized--no gargantuan portions of overly gloppy food--portions were perfect for a 2 course and desert. Left feeling satisfied but not stuffed. Food is obviously carefully prepared--some effort went into making something that was nice--texture, taste, presentation all welcoming. A real treat.

The perfect place for summer date night in St.Louis!! Very good food, beautiful, romantic atmosphere, and very professional service. The linguine bolognese was phenomenal!!! Very exciting menu and delicious wine. Here they combine traditional flavors in new ways with great elegance and attention to detail. A very refreshing place to dine at in St. Louis!

My family and I had the best time at J. Devoti Trattoria. We loved that their menu changes daily to support the local produce and meats they receive from the area. Our server gave us a lot of fun facts about where our food was coming from and honestly, it made us feel more connected to it, knowing it was all local or made in-house! Their bread sampler was incredible as was all of the pasta we ordered. But I have to say the shining star of our meal was their pizza. Honestly I could've cried tears of joy eating that pizza crust. All in all, we can't wait to go back and try a new menu! Plus, we're ordering a lot more pizza!
