It was my first time visiting. The arch view was amazing. Our waiter and wait staff were great. The food was beyond delicious, especially the mixed berry sorbet we had for dessert (to die for). It was a magical experience I will always remember and share with my family and friends.
Kemoll's has been our favorite restaraunt since 1990. You can't beat the consistently great food (Filet Douglas, Beef Tournedos Au Poivre, Linguine Monte Mari, The Fried Artichokes, Veal Marsala, Veal Picatta...just to name a few), and they keep adding new and exciting things to their menu. My son introduced me to their Beef Rissoto and Seafood Rissoto. But in addition to the food, the staff, led by maitre d' Paul Cerberie, is just awesome as well. Mark Cusumano has made Kemoll's into a St. Louis institution.
My family and I go every year on Christmas Eve. It’s always delicious. Could live off the salad and cheese bread alone. I took my friend there for her first time last night. Experience was great! We had crab cakes which were to die for as always. She had veal Milanese and I had chicken boun gusto. We were both very satisfied! Love this place.
I am absolutely stunned at the quality of EVERYTHING there. The service was attentive yet discreet. The view was spectacular and the food was so good my wife found me rolling my eyes into the back of my head to take in the flavor. The peppadew peppers were bright and sweet, the mushroom risotto was earthy. My only regret was only having one stomach to take it all in!
We had a lovely evening and the food was outstanding. It was our anniversary and Kemoll’s was the perfect place to celebrate. Our server, Nathan, was wonderful.
Beautiful view, excellent service and great food! A spot everyone should go to in St. Louis! Everyone is so friendly. The staff is as good as the phenomenal food.
The staff is amazing. They make a good chocolate martini & the Caesar salad is to die for! The filet though, melts in your mouth. Absolutely love Kemolls
My husband and I spent our anniversary here for lunch. The service was spectacular! The wait staff was very attentive and checked on us frequently. The food was great and the view amazing.
We wanted to take our kids to a nice Italian restaurant. There was no seating available for Paul Manno so we ended up going to this restaurant. I normally don't like to go to Westport Plaza due to its parking. Once you park, you need to walk a distance to your restaurant. The restaurant wasn't too busy. It had a nice decor and good ambience. Staff was courteous. I ordered a sautéed shrimp scampi and was confused the noodle would come with shrimp. They were nice enough to add noodle into my entrée even though it was not included. The food was ok with this price range. There were plenty of Italian restaurants in St Louis. With this price, I would recommend Paul Manno or Charlie Gitto instead.
Such a nice an intimate place. The night we went they had two men playing the violin and piano. So beautiful! Our waitress was amazing and the food was so good. My fiancé ordered steak and I got pasta.
Nice Italian restaurant. Need to make the reservation ahead of the time. I love their steak, which is very tender. The signature salad to me is a little too salty. The pasta’s portion is huge, but delicious.
If you are looking for a high-end, gourmet, pristine-atmosphere dining experience for a special occasion or night out to impress your clients, this is the place to be!
The above description should give you and immediate summation of the menu-items you can expect to find, as well as the fully-stocked bar and trained staff that perform top-notch service you would expect to see.
The dinners are absolutely delicious! I had the baked salmon and was pleasantly surprised with a healthy, meaty portion of fish served on a mixed bed of rice and other chopped vegetables. One of the best meals this side of Heaven that you could hope for!
Many delectable desserts are also available, but due to time constraints, I was unable to try one.
Tables can be set for large or small parties, and there are lower-priced items, but figure you will spend $30.00 - $50.00 (or more) per person.
Well worth experiencing and truly memorable!
This place is awesome the only down side is its a nice little walk to get to the restaurant but not bad. You take 1 elevator from the parking garage & then another 1 after you walk thru the lobby. The food was great and presented well. The staff was very friendly. Went for a girls dinner & can't wait to go back with our husbands. It was also interesting how they wrapped your left over containers in cerain wrap which i loved because if something fell over it won't spill in your car. Go during 5-6pm and they have a special menu which is phenomenal.
Excellence! The pasta, the steak, the potatoes, the shrimp scampi, the garlic cheese bread, and most of all, the views were all incredible. I'd recommend Kemoll's to anyone looking for a 5-star driving experience with exquisite views of the city.
Service was Top Notch and food was very delicious I enjoyed everything on my plates literally 😆 will definitely come back it was a great experience
I realize they are relocating to Westport shortly, but this is a good thing since I’ll live about a minute from them! Without going into how ridiculously amazing the food here is, here is the recipe to make your stomach happy:
- Cheesy Bread
- Crab Cake
- Filet Douglas
- Some sort of dessert wine
Adjust with beverage of choice as needed.
Service is excellent! View is fantastic! The food is very good. This is my first visit to St. Louis and this has been the place where the food has been really good.
LOVE , LOVE, LOVE! Mark Cusamano is doing a great job carrying on his family restaurant! The historic pictures on the walls have lovely stories worth asking about. Beautiful new location at West Port. Romantic and elegant. Fabulous drinks and wine. Food is melt in your mouth good!! Veal Parmigiano, salad and house garlic cheesebread are to die for. Unexpected but the sweet tai chilli chicken bites were great!! Keep eyes open for local celebrities they frequently visit unnoticed. Always look forward to going in.
The food, plating, staff, and experience were top notch! The portions were massive and tasty, and I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions as they will make your night great!
Family owned restaurant. Very elegant if slightly bland seated quickly and water glasses filled immediately. Strangely, not given menu's as seated. But when given, was told specials as well as what they had ran out of so knew not to order. With a surprisingly small choices of foods to choose from, a restaurant of this caliber should never do.
Our food once ordered came quickly. My friend's food was a large portion of pasta. My filet mignon was supposedly 10 oz but think was more like 6 oz. Though I order it at medium I received a rare piece of meat. As in not just extremely red in center but actually cold and obviously no where close to being cooked in center nor checked by a meat thermometer which is essential when cooking meat. Especially this choice of meat. Was under seasoned also. My salad and side of a baked potato was perfect and enjoyed as well as my triple chocolate piece of cake I ordered to go.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and piano players choices to play and sing. He had a beautiful voice and really added to the eating experience.
The food was amazing! I wasn't wowed by the crab cakes which were dry but everything else we had was to die for. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service was phenomenal. The only issue is that it's difficult to find. GPS took me somewhere else and walking around it wasn't easy to locate. We ended up having to call and ask for directions. The other issue, which wasn't their fault, was that a lady at the table next to us was playing music on her phone. As much as I can enjoy a good Garth Brooks song I wasn't looking for it out of a phone speaker at a $200 dinner.
That aside I would definitely recommend it and go back for special occasions.
From the time we walked in everything was first class. The salad was very tasty and you could cut the steak with a butter knife, it was so tender. The bananas foster was creamy and smooth tasting. My first visit was a great experience.
I went on Valentine's Day last year and stopped in again the other day. On both occasions the staff was extremely friendly and very informative about the food/ menu. The view is amazing! I will definitely be back.
This is a fun, upcale, fancy, bougie venue. And livvvve!!!! Lord Jesus the food is amazing!(well seasoned) If you go to the 40th floor chew gum cause your ears will pop and the view is amazing, it over look the whole downtown area!
Amazing view, 40 floors up. The food was incredible. I'd definitely recommend Kemolls for special occasions. Try the chocolate love cake for dessert.
A good place to catch up with friends. Not too loud. Little up-scale. Generally an older crowd. We went for a Saturday Happy Hour, and the artichokes toasted raviolis and the crab cakes. Mostly good stuff, but I live in the DMV and it's hard to beat DMV crab cakes. They weren't bad here, just not to my standards. The service was pretty good. Not too much to complain about. I would go back again and try their dinner menu.
