This place was on my wife's must visit list while we were in St. Louis, and I'm glad we did. The gooey butter cake was like heaven in my mouth. I had to get another piece to take back to the room for later. I'm not a coffee drinker, but the barista made a delicious hot chocolate that was awesome. I can't wait to go back and visit that place.
Love this place. They have the best cold brew and let's not forget the butter cake. Nice patio out back for nice days and small sitting area inside.
Everyone has always been super friendly there also.

I moved to D.C. area a few years ago and miss my morning coffee routine with Park Avenue! Whenever I am in town, even if just for a day, I make it a point to stop in for a latte! Truly hands down one of the best brews I've ever had!
Iโm super picky about gooey butter cake and most places make it too cakey or dry. However, I had the Red Velvet, Cinnamon Roll, and Turtle and they were all incredible! The latte was good too! The feel of the place wasnโt quite as comfy and cozy for relaxing as some other shops, but I will definitely be back for the treats.
For 30 years I have bored my family to death about the gooey butter cake of my college days. Finally, on a trip through St. Louis, came the opportunity to show them. I looked up the 10 best spots for GBC and Park Ave. was listed. It did not disappoint. The coffee was good too. Thanks Park Ave for reinforcing this happy memory for me.
Best coffee shop in all of St. Louis. Period. Exclamation point!
I stopped after 10 on Saturday night to pick up gooey butter cakes. I loved the place. The ambience was terrific. At that hour a few people were quietly talking and drinking coffee. The employees were friendly and informative. I ended up buying coffee beans as well as the cakes. This is a place I will look up the next time I'm in St. Louis. (The cakes were delicious, BTW. Best gooey butter cake I've had!!)
Park Ave has the best coffee in St. Louis hands down! If I'm within a 10 miles radius I'm getting park ave!
I always have a great experience here, love the food and loved my chia tea!!!
The best coffee I have ever had! I'm contemplating on going again today!
Had a raspberry mocha frappicano. Perfect. Also ideal for study space. Couldn't have asked for a better little study nook in St. Louis. Will be here often.
Talk about delicious, this was well worth going out of way to try.
Cute place with good gooey butter cake. Lots of Flavor to choose from. It was fresh! The place is very clean and lots of seating. I had to have gooey cake seeming I was in at Louis and it being the home of. So I looked up places and this one popped up as the best. I was excited and after driving 4 hrs with only 10min before closing we made it. The girl waiting on us was shy and quiet with short answers. Another girl came out and seemed rude an just bossy. I know 10min before closing really but there were other people inside and more coming in as we were leaving. So I donโt think that was the cause of the off customer service. If I had not just been passing through st Louis heading to Branson I would have waited for the next day to visit. But aside from the off customer service food was great and we will stop back by when we have more time an not so last min!

๐ฐ Tempting Desserts and Fresh Treats! ๐ฅง๐ฉโ๐ณ
One highlight of my visit was witnessing the diligent employees consistently replenishing the dessert selection. The array of treats was tantalizing and certainly added to the overall appeal of the cafรฉ. ๐ฐ๐ฉโ๐ณ

One of the best damn cups of coffee I've ever had in my life came from this place. Staff was beyond helpful and friendly, and my first experience with gooey butter cake from St.Louis, served here, was nothing short of fantastic. If you're looking for a great cup of coffee, some delicious things to snack on and a wonderful atmosphere... This is your place. Right across the corner is Lafayette Park, which serves as a wonderful opportunity to take a stroll with a fresh cup of coffee and really feel the spirit of st. Louis.
Got a lot of work done here. Pleasant atmosphere and amazing coffee. Thank you for being a safe space for us wanting to get out of the office and take a small break! :)

I enjoy Park Avenue Coffee. My favor coffee that they offer is the Grog, and I get it with oat milk. This is a fantastic combination, and I recommend it. I have also had the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe coffee with oat milk. This is another good flavor. Their coffee definitely beats Starbucks.
As for their famed gooey butter cakes, I will say that they are solid! As a gooey butter cake and baked goods lover, I have certainly had better gooey butter cakes. The slices are a little thin for me, but that is my only true complaint. I prefer the various Schucks Bakery gooey butter cake flavors. I have had the Mom's Traditional Gooey Butter Cake, and I had the Red Velvet Gooey Butter Cake for my birthday yesterday. I like red velvet, and I actually had a generous serving of red velvet cake from Schnucks at my birthday party at lunch as well. What a wonderfully unhealth day full of red velvet flavor! The Red Velvet Gooey Butter Cake slice had a nice sweetness, and the home-made cream cheese icing complemented it nicely. This ice had a nice sweetness. I will continue to compare cream cheese icings to the bad cream cheese icing that I had at Crumbl Cookies on their Red Velvet Cream Cheese Cookie, which was literally just plain, unsweetened cream cheese. Moreover, the Ghirardelli chocolate gooey butter crust was not overwhelming.
Finally, I have had their Cranberry Orange Muffin, which is also tasty.
The gooey butter cake is to DIE for. I love the classic, but the cookie dough is also amazing.
Frappes are always smooth and rich in flavor. Never any ice chunks. The hot coffee is always flavorful as well. They have the best coffee. Itโs right next to the park as well.
Wonderful best GOOEY BUTTER CAKES EVER. So great I used for wedding and birthdays. I live in Illinois but you better stop for my gooey butter cake flavors.
Great coffee shop on Lafayette Square. Friendly and helpful staff. Great coffee. Warm and comfortable seating and outside patio to the rear.
The best gooey butter cake Iโve had in St. Louis and a truly wonderful iced mocha! Service was wonderful and so so quick and a cute atmosphere.
They make Gooey cake. Which if you haven't had (like myself) is kind of a mix between a cookie and a cake made only with butter. We tried 3 kinds of Gooey cake, the cookie dough was good, traditional was not to my liking but others liked it. The coffee is delicious and they had really good smoothies. Also it's in a neat little part of Lafayette Square which adds to the charm. If you like Gooey cake go here, if you don't, then it's a fine coffee shop if you just want to relax and enjoy a cup.
Coffee excellent, food selection very limited, seemed a bit short staffed so wait time was long. Very charming and cozy. But if you are in a rush, Starbucks may be a better option.
been a fan of gooey butter cakes my whole life but never knew they started in STL. Even though not all the variations are available, what they did have was fantastic. The freshness of the cakes in the bake were awesome.
This is a pretty cozy place. They have no nonsense coffee and a seemingly sustainable business model. I'm excited to try this Saint Louis blend once I return home; hopefully it'll remind me of the city!
A great local coffeeshop situated right in the heart of the Lafayette Square commercial district. I love going there for coffee, but hoping that they increase their vegan items, soon! There are a variety of milk options and the staff is always nice and friendly. They have a cool patio in the back that's perfect for Fall or Summer.
Outstanding coffee love the St Louis blend. The service staff members are efficient and friendly. The space is clean cozy and well maintained. Fresh small batch dry roasted beans can be purchased to take home. There are various options from coffee, tea, sweet treats to enjoy on site or take with you. Indoor and outdoor seating place for pets to wait outside.
Great gooey butter cake and iced coffee! The atmosphere is cozy and the service is really friendly. For those with accessibility issues, it's not wheelchair accessible.
