My go to for sushi. The head chef is personable and knowledgeable and uses the very best product available in st. louis. The freshness is unrivaled. I can't speak for the thai, as all i ever get is the sushi, which is A1.
Solid meals. They seem to have improved recently. Really love the pineapple curry, great dish! A few times in the past I was underwhelmed, but its never been bad. Hopefully they keep the new standard going. Have had sushi here twice and once it was great and the second time it was average.
Thumbs up. I had Chicken Pad Thai and split an order of veggie spring rolls. My friend had red curry. I took home half of my dish for lunch the next day. With the tip, our bill was $30. We both enjoyed our selections.
Bottom line - good food, great service, generous portions and a very nice atmosphere. I look forward to going again.
Excellent in every way. Do not be scared that it is in a small deserted plaza and never busy. Sushi is beautiful as we'll.
Terrific. Beautiful decor and great sushi.
Di Mak!. I think that means very good in Thai. Sooo good!! Tom Yum Soup is phenomenal!

Great noodles. Great Thai restaurant. I forget the name but they have a noodle dish with thin rice noodles that is just divine. I don't even need to open the menu anymore when I go! A little expensive at lunch but the food is fresh, service is great, and the surroundings are very serene.

Phenomenal service, outstanding food, a hidden gem!. From the outside, with its neon signs and strip mall location, Thai Nivas Cafe is nothing impressive. The minute you walk in the doors, however, it's a completely different story. The decor is really beautiful, with lots of honey-colored wood and interesting wall art. The service was incredibly friendly and pleasant; the waiter was very attentive, and the sushi chef even helped out when the waiter wasn't able to immediately greet a new customer. And the food was amazing! We tried sushi rolls for appetizers (lots of vegetarian rolls!), and I had a Thai pineapple curry dish that had lots of fresh veggies and a fantastic coconut sauce. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!
Great food - great prices. Great food - we eat there often. In fact, we've never had a bad dish. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I tried spicy fried rice with shrimp and salmon skin hand roll. Both were delicious. Super clean and spotless restaurant. The Chef was so nice and welcomed all the customers. They offer all types of proteins and veggies in their menu for their dishes.
Really good dragon roll. Massaman curry was pretty good as well. Crab Rangoon tasted fresh but had very little filling.
It was a very busy Monday night that was not planned for, in the dine-in area. There was also an extremely active carry out night. The wait staff was somewhat overwhelmed but handled it with poise. We had three excellent appetizers and two entrees that we shared between 3 people. The appetizers were spot on and the entrees were top notch and seasoned perfectly. The red wine was very good and the jasmine tea was perfect. We will be back soon.
This was my first time eating here. The atmosphere was nice, and cozy. The food was good, but not the best Thai that I've had. The service was not great. One waitress was nice, but one was not very friendly. Overall it was ok, but there are better options.
Visited this gem over the weekend! Wonderful service! The food was great. I am always terrified to eat Thai food because I don’t like hot/spicy food. I asked for no spice and they made it perfectly.
I came here on a Thursday afternoon and it was very quiet, nice atmosphere. I ordered the basil fried rice to go and waited not too long for it to be ready. They definitely made it fresh, you could taste that for sure!! Also they are accomodating for allergies or dietary restrictions. Service was kind and pleasant, checking in with me while I waited. Portions are generous - it was 2 meals for me. So good. Thank you!

Went with another couple who had been here before (except us). Everyone got something different and we got an appetizer for the table. Everyone agreed that their meal was good and everyone joined the cleaned plate club. I had the Khaw Moo Dang and was expecting something slightly more flavorful, but it was still very good. The servers were friendly and courteous. We were not rushed out at the end of the meal but sat and caught up on conversation while drinking tea.
Love this place. I've tried many different items. I also tried tofu. DELICIOUS! They were all fantastic. The server now knows us because we go often. A quiet peaceful restaurant. Very relaxing & wonderful food.
What a sleeper!! We were just driving by and thought we would stop for dinner and Thai Nivas Cafe was so delicious! The chicken basil stir fry and Pla Rad Prig Kang were so great!!!! Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant! Very nice, clean, and cute on the inside! The staff is so friendly and attentive.
Exceptional food, fresh ingredients, good service in a comfortable space. Pleasantly surprised. Looks like a lot of their business went to carry out, so mine was the only indoor table occupied.
I was in the area looking for a new restaurant to try. Came upon Thai Mivas searching for sushi, ended up with a Thai Pineapple Curry dish that was ah-mazing! The portions are perfect! I also had the gyoza which were steamed with a light crisp. The drinks are good and very reasonably priced. I had a Muay Thai Coffee, and I'm hoping they can make a Thai Tea version because it was great! I highly recommend this place.
Had lunch here a few weeks back and sampled several menu items. We would definitely return! The green curry was delicious and so was the Thai tea.
Great quality and fair price. It was easy to place online order for a pick up. Tom Yum and Tom Kha soups with tofu were delicious. We also split mild yellow curry with my wife - that was good full dinner.
Easy to find location and plenty of parking.
Thai Nivas is a wonderful family-owned restaurant that serves excellent, fresh food made to order. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they did an outstanding job accommodating my gluten allergy (celiac). While the service is usually good, the kitchen may feel a bit slow compared to other restaurants. If you visit when it's busy, expect your food to take a while, and your entire experience may last at least 90 minutes or more. However, the sushi is a notable exception - it comes out quickly after being ordered, so if you're hungry and the restaurant is busy, it might be worth ordering sushi specifically. Thai Nivas is the last business open in the quiet retail strip center, and it's truly a gem. Don't miss out on the chance to enjoy their delicious food! Overall five stars.. support local businesses!
One of the best thai places in st. Louis. Well priced, friendly staff, and a large variety. You can't go wrong here. So good!!!
