When you enter a place there is a vib or feeling to it. This place is very welcoming and friendly. The staff is always in a good mood, smiling and happy. That combined with the great food and great service makes it an amazing place to eat.
A must try is the Brisket burger, it was amazing! My husband said it is the best burger he has ever had! The waitress/bartender Courtney was very friendly and knowledgeable with the menu. We will be back for more!
Great food! Great service. We were in town for a baseball game and made the journey over to try this place out and it was well worth it.
Great place to meet friends or have a gathering. You can't go wrong with burnt ends, a brisket burger, or tres tacos. Or if it's a Friday during Lent, try the Pipe approved Beaver!
Nice place to grab a bite, have a brew and meet up with friends. Brenton is an awesome guy and takes care of the customers. The decor, especially the tables are just right for this restaurant. Come in , have a great time, grab some good food.
So today was my graduation from nursing school and afterwards we chose to come to Bootleggin foir l lunch because it was close to where I graduated. My family was grumpy but Milo the bartender absolutely cheered me up and made my day so incredible. He made me forget about my bad day and have fun. Let me also tell you the food was AMAZING. We all enjoyed what we ate and even the vegetarians had something to eat. Thank you so much to Bootleggin for accomadating our party and for my very special. You are the best!
The place is penta-stellar!! Always a few good go to menu options, and they keep the selection fresh with new offering once in a while.
We came in around 5 on a Saturday, 4 adults and 6 kids ages 10 through 7. Staff was awesone, friendly, let the kids take over darts and foosball while set up the parents with drinks on the quick! Just what we needed after 5 hours at City Museum. Good folks, thanks!
We ate at Bootleggin' BBQ while visiting St Louis. We are from the Kansas city area, and let me tell you, I had some of the best, most tender, and juiciest Burnt ends I've ever tasted. The brisket was awesome also! I loved the environment, everyone was very friendly, and I'll definitely stop in again the next time I'm in the area!
Visited St. Louis yesterday and stayed in an Airbnb right around the block, so we gave it a try, and man was this place awesome! Great service and food!! 5 stars to you guys! I’ll def. be returning ❤️

I really liked this place. Ribs are awesome, juicy and falls off the bone. Loved their cucumber salad and the fries was best i had. Big guy at the counter was very cheerful and attentive and seems to do everything at the dining area :-) Tavern games are available.
Just sad that they have very few beer on tap. Street parking too and very limited.
Grabbed lunch at Bootleggin' today and it was terrific. The place has a great atmosphere super, friendly staff, and fantastic food. We ordered a little of everything to try and everything tasted great. We will be stopping back here again soon.

The reviews on this place are by no means bad, but I can't believe it isn't closer to a solid 5 stars. I travel all over the country for work and this is one of the best restaurants I've ever visited in my travels. I don't think I'll ever visit St Louis again without coming back. I'm simultaneously thanking God and cursing him that I don't live closer. Cursing because the once or twice a year that I'm in the area isn't enough, but thanking because I don't think I have the self control to not eat here every night if I was giving the opportunity. The staff is amazing, the beer selection is fantastic, and the food is off the charts. Honestly probably the best BBQ I've ever had, but the creativity they have with putting it all together really puts it over the edge for me. If you're reading this, you need to give it a try! I got the Miles Davis sandwich as good as it was, next time I think I'm going to have them replace the blue cheese crumbles with the mac n cheese. It might give me a heart attack, but at least I know I'll die happy. I also sampled the wings and can't think of any I've ever had that were better.
This was a nice low key restaurant walking distance from Union Station. The food/service was good. The only thing was they were out of an item that we originally wanted. Overall I would recommend this place and will come back the next time I visit.
Absolute fire!!! Great service and great people. Bring the kids down for some old fashion Pin Ball and enjoy some great food!

Omg, we live in Indiana but we will be back. The Booklegging #7 burger is FIRE!!!!! My husband had the Brisket #7. He loved it. There was a gentleman outside who gave us a sample of his Lemon Pepper wings!!!!! MORE PLEASSSSE!!!!!!!

I watched a special about this place on the Travel Channel and starred it on my Google maps if I ever was driving through. Well, I did drive through and stopped, so freaking glad I did!!! Absolutely the best burger I've ever had and the Pulled Pork fries melted in your mouth!! The staff were also awesome!! Will be back the next time I'm driving through!!
I brought my friends here after visiting the City Museum and it was SO good. I had burnt ends and wished I got more. My friend got the pulled pork over Mac n cheese (forgot the exact name) and I wish I had gotten that! Customer service was excellent. Prices were low considering its pretty good BBQ. Highly recommend!
Was here for one night on our trip and our Airbnb hosts recommended this place. Ended up getting the Bootlegger burger, and hoo boy was that a good recommendation from Frank the bartender. I am a small Asian person and usually eat only half of my meals and save the rest for later. I tried doing that here but after putting the burger down I picked it right back up and ate the whole thing. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time! The dry rub wings were also great! Would absolutely recommend both the burgers and the wings here.
I love this place. The burnt ends are a nice touch and can be hard to find here in STL. I also really enjoy the tacos and the nachos! Friends have tried and loved the chicken and all the sides I have had have been wonderful. Great staff and a wonderful hang out place. The "new" spicy mustard BBQ sauce is on point and pairs well with the pork or burnt ends. We will be back!
We had the disco fries, pulled pork sandwiches and wings. All the food was delicious! We felt it was a little pricey. They were out of 2 items we wanted to order so that was slightly disappointing. Overall it was a good atmosphere, good service and good food so we do plan on going back again and would definitely recommend checking it out.
Great food. Excellent BBQ. Owner was present on the floor. Had a nice conversation with him. He gave my family and I a nice description of the restaurant and what they have. Don't hesitate to try it out!
Amazing atmosphere. They have fun arcade games to play while you wait. The food was to die for. It was truly amazing. I do not even like ribs, but they made me want to change. The pulled pork nachos had such a great portion that I was left stuffed. The food is perfectly priced for the portions and the Bar Manager was extremely nice. If you come to St. Louis, it is a must try.
