Every time I come in I am surprised by how friendly and a accommodating the staff is. the food is a little taste of island life .The live music they get just makes you want to sit your feet in the sand . But you have to walk passed the bar to get to the indoor sand volley ball court

Huge rum selection and great island vibe at this bar! I like my rum and was very pleased with all they had to offer. My wife and I attended the rum tasting event on 8/31/19 and it was a blast! Staff was friendly and happy to answer questions or make a drink not found on the menu. There were two reggae bands playing that day and they were awesome! My wife remarked that it reminded her of sitting on the pool deck of a cruise ship with the reggae music, rum flowing, and great food. They had a huge buffet set up for the rum tasting event including a roasted pig (and he was delicious) . The mac and cheese was phenomenal! Not sure if that's always available but a guy can hope. This will be a great place to hit in the cold, bleak of Winter when Summer is only a memory. It will recharge the soul.

Great new bar, which is a step OUT of the ordinary... grab your flip flops, kick back and relax. You can almost hear the waves as you look around at the beautiful pictures taken in the Virgin Islands. The bar is named after the famous RMS Rhone that sank off Salt Island in the Virgin Islands. There is a huge selection of over 100 rums to choose from, and their specialty island style drinks. I strongly recommend the Pain Killer made with true Pusser's Rum. On old ships, the Purser was the person who handed out daily rations of rum or "bits" each day for the sailor's work. Many sailers back then had no test, and could only say "Pusser" instead of Purser... I use to work on a cruise ship and spent 3 months in the Virgin Islands, they did a great job bringing those drinks to the Rhone Rum Bar. Great island feel, relaxing, great jerk chicken wings, and many other items to choose from. I highly recommend!

Every. Single. Time. I walk into a Hamilton-owned entertainment venue I think to myself: "This might be the greatest place in St. Louis." This is another gem just down the street from Vin de Set and 1111 Mississippi. While the wine, brunch, and regional Italian pris-fixe menus of those two restaurants are amazing, this has it's own character and manages to be another gem. This is the only place in St. Louis that makes me feel I'm home in Dallas, LA, or Austin. A little Caribbean flare and photography, bar games, volleyball, live music, and open air on a nice day (h***, it was in the 50s today and the open air from the lifting glass doors was warm enough in a t-shirt). Everything here was something special that made me feel like I was having fun in the sun when it was in the 50s in March in the midwest. Awesome.

Fun vibe, plus the sand on the patio is really cool. Can almost trick you into thinking you're at the beach. Drinks were good.

We used the Rhône Rum Bar for our ten year high school reunion. I cannot give them enough praise! Debbie with Moulin Events was beyond helpful, accommodating, and communicative. She made the whole experience easy and fun. I would definitely have another event at the Rhône Rum Bar, and I plan to use Moulin Events in the future!

Extensive rum selection. They will have your flavor. Food that I've gotten was tasty, though limited in options and quantity. Staff was wonderful and knowledgeable. Atmosphere and decor were aesthetically pleasant. I've been several times.

Hands dow this place is great! If you ever been to the Caribbean's you would understand the vide and the music! The food was amazing and so were the drinks. My husband and I enjoyed our time here. We will return for sand volleyball with friends. Also the 45min drive was worth it! Last thing my mom side of the family is Rhone!!!! Love it!!!

Really cool place! I truly felt the beach vibe. They have daily specials and an industry night. The drinks are delicious and they have live entertainment on the weekends. I'm excited to come back in the warmer months.

Recently named “Restaurateurs of the Year” by St. Louis Magazine, Paul and Wendy Hamilton are opening a new rum bar-themed restaurant. It will be located next to Charleville Brewing Company and Hamilton’s Urban Steakhouse and Bourbon Bar on Chouteau. The couple loves the Virgin Islands, so they decided to bring the islands to St. Louis! The Hamilton’s are doing this at the perfect time – right before those winter blues set in.

Not what you would expect from the outside, but actually really fun inside with lots of space. Played darts with my friend and want to come back for a Sand Volleyball game!

This was a neat little Caribbean themed rum bar. I loved their Bushwacker drink. It tasted just as good as the ones I had in the Virgin Islands
