Special/House fried rice was amazing and not greasy at all. My first time trying a Saint Paul and it was fire. This is definitely my new rice house when I’m in the St. Louis period 🔥🔥St. Louis Mo. has the best fried ever.

In a world of mediocre Chinese restaurants, this place stands tall above the rest. This was some of the best food I’ve ever had. I don’t even know what is in those fried St. Paul sandwiches but those are life changing. The sesame chicken was unparalleled. The crab Rangoon brought tears to my eyes. The fried rice was rich and actually cooked. People may see the restaurant and assume the worst, but I urge you to give this place a try. If I could give six stars, I would.

I had Hong Kong Express for the first time today. I ordered the Szechuan Spicy Chicken (combo plate #8) with Crab Rangoon. This dish was wonderful! The portions were generous, the ingredients were high quality, the food was still hot after taking it home, and finally those crab rangoons were some of the best I've ever had (high in garlic flavor, which I love). The price was fine as well, I feel like I got enough food for two meals and it cost $8.50 or close to that. I am excited to try more dishes here!

Food was absolutely delicious. Not only did it taste good but there was plenty of meat, it was cooked through, juicy, and the portions were huge. I used the online ordering tool and they actually ended up losing my order but when I went to pick it up the guy apologized and made my order right away. It was the best orange chicken I ever had.

Food is very good, and you will probably spend a long time waiting for it to be ready. It’s still worth it. I found this place when I moved to Shaw. Now that I live in the Central West End, I drive across town to get it. With the harsh weather and long wait times, it’d be great if you could open up the dining room at least for waiting. This is the only restaurant I know of where you can’t even step foot inside still.

This is the only place I'll go for Chinese food in the city anymore. Their portions are extremely generous for the price and the food is beyond delicious. I typically have to add additional soy sauce/seasoning to most fried rice/noodle dishes at other restaurants, but that is never an issue with Hong Kong Express; their food is deeply flavorful. It's definitely a hole in the wall so expect that when you arrive, but I would highly recommend. P.s. we have always called in our orders (rather than use online ordering) and it has always been ready within a few minutes of the time frame we were quoted on the phone

Called in a pick up order. Quick easy to place. My food was ready to be picked up when I arrived. Due to covid they aren’t allowing customers inside but they have a system that works well. The combination plates are a good size. Both of our plates were delicious! I’m summary, food is tasty good portion and affordable!

Food is really good. I tasted my coworkers food which was plain fried rice and chicken wings and it was really good. I am very particular about my rice and this place passed the test. St Paul's are yummy as well.
