I love Egg, the breakfast version of this restaurant, but I finally decided to try their dinner half. Mexican barbecue isn't something you come across very often, and it makes for some unique menu options. The tacos have very generous portions of meats that are prepared quite well; they aren't garnished quite as well as the breakfast tacos are. They offer side dishes that you'd find at a barbecue joint, highlighted by some delicious cornbread. The ribs are pretty good, but nothing to compare to say Pappy's. Spare No Rib offers friendly service and overall good food. I'd recommend them for sure, but I'd encourage you to try Egg even more!

I have drove by this place several times, thought it was time to give them a try. Absolutely amazing food and service. We tried the ribs, sopes and street tacos. You cant go wrong. And the sides a great as well.

Cannot give this place enough stars. Food is amazing and drinks are great. Best tacos: rib and and carnitas. Fish tacos are pretty good too. Brisket is definitely not as good as the previously mentioned, but it's still a solid choice.

One of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time in Saint Louis. Great service, a personal touch from the owner and chef to come out and see how our meal was. The ribs were fall of the bone, the sauces were good and the sides tasty. I would highly recommend and return in the future! 4.8 out of 5 all the way.

my favorite BBQ place in all of Saint Louis! My boyfriend and I enjoy a meal here probably once a month. We wish we could go more, but we feel it is PRICEY. The food is excellent, but I think the reason there's no one there on a Friday night is because it costs us $60 to share an appetizer, each have a basic sandwich meal and a beer. The chips with 3 salsas is an excellent appetizer, but you should ask specifically for a green salsa they have in the back that they don't put as a part of the three. I didn't like the smokey salsa and asked for something different one day and IT'S SO AMAZING. It's a tomatillo salsa with avocado. Good service, but still a little pricey. I always get the BBQ chicken sandwich with avocado salsa and it's really great. My bf always gets tacos or the pulled pork sandwich and he loves that as well. Never leave hungry, that's for sure!! Definitely recommend.

Amazing tacos (fish is best) and ribs. Mac and cheese is creamier than most, so if that's not your thing you won't be impressed. The service separates Spare no Rib from all other BBQ restaurants; really all restaurants in general. I always go here when I'm visiting in St Louis and it's great being greeted by people who remember me from the last time I was there! However I can't give it the full five stars because their open and close times seem to be really random (I've tried to go 1.5 hours before close to find it closed already) and they seem to have some staffing issues.

Nice focused menu. Excellent tacos with a variety of house made salsas. Ribs are very good. Everything is made fresh and comes out hot. At least one of the owners is usually around. The sampler plate with ribs and tacos is excellent.

The tacos and BBQ were delicious. We also enjoyed the Mac n cheese. The drinks were delightful and cheap!! The service was great and the atmosphere is modern yet homey and inviting. We will definitely go back!

This is actually for the location on Maryland Plaza, but they don't show up in Maps yet. That said: For what you pay, this place is fantastic. I was skeptical about mixing tacos and barbecue, but I was very pleased with the result. My only quibble, and it's small, is I don't like having my salsa for my taco chosen for me. Put them off to the side and let me choose. The quality is high though, and the flavor is excellent. I will return if in STL again.

Best dining experience in St Louis! The BBQ was so juicy, all the sides were made fresh and the gooey butter cake is awesome. The waitress was really sweet, and the owner brought out a free sample of carnitas for us (very tender, they tasted great.)

Really underrated, even with all the good reviews. They are called Spare No Rib, but they also happen to have some of the best tacos in St. Louis. They even have a rib taco, and it's delicious. My personal favorite here is the veggie taco though, it's just perfect for me.

I am in love with Spare no rib, and because of this, I am willing to overlook a few flaws. Service ranges from spotty to stellar, and they are frequently out of various meats - but they serve great tacos and drinks, and, well. I love them. If you're feeling indulgent, follow the advice of a former bartender - order the chicken chorizo melt sandwich sans bun over fries.

This place was amazing -- so glad our group decided to stop here for lunch on the way through town. MC & Lasad personally made our lunch enjoyable & delicious -- we felt so cared for & celebrated. Tacos were incredible. Highly recommend the chips with smoked vegetable dip!

Just a fantastic experience. Staff was awesome and super friendly. I always get paranoid taking the kids out to eat but they treated my kids like part of the family. Loved the rib taco. Should have got more

Ambiance is palpable, food is exquisite, and the wait staff is absolutely wonderful. Our waiter went out of his way to satisfy us, and was receptive and kind all the way through the meal. If you have even a vague idea that you might enjoy this place's unique blend of authentic mexican food and St. Louis style barbeque, you owe it to yourself to shell out that bit of extra money to experience it.
