One of the best meals I have ever had. The service, atmosphere, and the food are all perfect. It is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. The Shu Mai Dumplings are to die for.

I haven't been more satisfied with Chinese food in my life. I could eat a bowl of the nori rice every day, and the mushroom dish was absolutely fabulous. My only wish is that I would have had more room for the delicious tofu dish, but I'm sure I'll feel differently eating my leftovers. I'll be back, and I can hardly wait

GOOD FORTUNE - YOU'RE A GEM! Hats off to Corey and Ryan who have been working effortlessly nonstop to make their dreams a reality. All their hard work has paid off —and paid of BIG TIME. The atmosphere is quaint and intimate, perfect for a date night or to pop in for a delicious cocktail (the Jungle Bird is smooth and very fragrant) and a few small plates. The staff is always smiling and friendly—plus, they'e very knowledgeable about the menu. Good Fortune offers a modern twist on Chinese food, and the dishes could be a work of art, to be honest. The Salted Cod Rangoons are out of this world as are the Shu Mai Dumplings. As for a main dish, get the Beef Brassica and thank me later. Seriously - that beef packs heat, tons of flavor and is so well-balanced. Great job, and keep up the good work!

Good Fortune is all you expect it to be. Thoughtful, well executed, focused, and above all delicious! For me the goons and accompanying sauce were a highlight. Along with the beef and brassica, so tender and spicy! Go there often, support what they do, make the world a better place for us all!

Definitely a hidden gem in St.louis. Very fresh flavors. I had the 5 spice pork belly. And they flavor party in my mouth was so good. I highly recommend this place. Also the vibe was very relaxed. Totally enjoyed our evening.

Genuinely one of the best meals I have ever had. The service, atmosphere, and the food are all perfect. It is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. The Shu Mai Dumplings are to die for. They also have a surprisingly wide variety of bar selections (8-10 cocktails on the menu, 6-8 beers and ciders on draft and more in bottles/cans, 5-10 wines to choose from, and more). They also have specials that change from time to time so I would definitely check their Facebook or Instagram to see what’s new. Simply amazing.

We got take out, and tried most of the things on the menu. Dumplings, goons, mapo doufu, and veggie fried rice. Dumplings were excellent, they had a nice zing of spice at the end, which also made them not kid friendly. Goons are not what you're expecting in St Louis. Instead of the regular sweet and cream, these are more savory with cod, very good, but a bit of a surprise. The fried rice was well done, some of the rice and veggies having a little bit of crispiness to them, which added a wonderful flavor. And finally, the mapo doufu, the highlight dish of the night. The tofu was slightly firm and had an amazing flavor from the sauce. It was served with rice and baby bok choy that was seasoned nearly perfectly. Overall, it was an excellent meal and just about fed my family of four. We're planning to go back and try the dine in menu.

My mom and I had the best time here! The wine was great, but the food was to die for. We had dumplings, Rangoon’s, 5 spice fried rice, duck and dessert and we were amazed at the incredible flavors and presentation. If you guys ever bottle that sweet and sour caramel for the rangoons, please sell me some!!

This is one of our new favorite spots in St. Louis. We had the pork ribs and the kung pao fried chicken, and both plates were incredible. We also had some rangoons and dumplings as appetizers, and they were both life-changingly great. The atmosphere was intimate and laid back, and music choice was solid. Everyone we interacted with was super helpful and seemed genuinely happy to work there. Our server, Victoria, was so delightful. We already can't wait to go back!

Delicious! Lovely spot. Great service. Excellent food. Got the spare ribs (3) over rice. Fall off the bone ribs perfectly spiced. Appetizer of pot stickers and rangoon was equally good. Will go back!

I'm not sure what I expected when I arrived, but was thrilled with how intimate the dining room was, and the small plate menu. The food was impeccable, and the whole experience was something I didn't expect. Good Fortune is a whole new world of chinese food for South St. Louis.

This is a real hidden gem. The food is fresh, very clean tasting (the fryer is well maintained). You can see right into the kitchen from the dining room. The food is crafted with care. The catfish is real American catfish, not swai that most places are serving and trying to pass off as catfish. The bao is simply delicious. The XO fries are great. The cashew chicken is delicious a d the chicken is high quality with texture. If you want high quality Asian food. This is your place. The owners and employees really care about the food and the customers.

I told them to make me regret being born with the spice. It was delicious and spicy. I got the mofu and my girlfriend got the duck. We also got the shrimp dumplings, cod rangoons and watermelon salad. They were all amazing

After following (and being followed) Good Fortune on Instagram for a year, I finally had the opportunity to try their food! I had the privilege of attending a Yelp St. Louis Elite Event and was able to sample and mingle with other foodies... Starters: Pork Shumai Dumplings with Black Vinegar Sauce; Rangoons with Salt Cod and Fermented Sweet and Sour Sauce (my favorite). Family Style Meal: Fried Rice Good Fortune; Kung Pao Fried Chicken (my favorite and had a slight kick of flavor I didn't expect); Ziran Paigu Pork Ribs (tender and seasoned well). Dessert: Matcha Cake with Fortune Cookie Ice Cream. Cocktails: Blue Dream; Jungle Bird, Daiquiri (my favorite made with Plantation Rum); and Draft Selections from Urban Chestnut Brewing Co. I will say I enjoyed everything (already mentioned my favorite items). It was nice to see them in action on the open kitchen, the carry-out line was popping (usually a good sign), guests were coming in for dinner in the small dining room, and the staff was super duper nice! I will definitely be back with friends. #foodie #asianfusion #goodfortunestl #plantationrum #kungpaochicken #dumplings #yelpstl #yelp #yelpelite #yelpeliteevent #stlfoodie #stlfoodscene #stlmetrofoodie

Found this restaurant while using my “no wait” app. Great atmosphere, amazing food. Parking behind the building. Wasn’t an issue for me, but they don’t have a full bar, just select drinks, wine and beer. Thanks!
