Tony and his crew treat everyone like family. This place has always done that. The food is always fresh and fabulous.
Not only is the pizza phenomenal, the Mostaccioli and Red Sauce are second to none! The owner and staff provide incredible service on a daily basis!
Used to work across the street from here, but the building was sold, torn down, and a new one built. It was my birthday dinner place of choice, and as good as I remembered. Pizza was awesome, and it was the day after St. Patty's day, so they had leftover corned beef and cabbage dinner. They offered us some for no charge! Excellent service, and awesome pizza!
Oh so good!!!! Worth the 25 minute drive from our hotel to get pizza. Probably best Pizza I’ve ever eaten!

By far the best pizza in town, at least I think so. Tastes differ and others might not like it, but it is always busy so that tells you something. We have only had their pasta once and it was wonderful. Yes the eating area is rather small but they make their own sausage that you can buy to bring home and lets not forget the little ice cream cone to clear you palate.
This was a fantastic restaurant. Small, family-owned and the staff is personable and responsive. From the time we walked in to the time we left, we were like a close friend or family to them.
Tony chatted with us to make our short wait pass quickly and the cheese bread he made to pass the time was phenomenal. Our main course was a pizza piled with meat and it was delicious!! Our waitress made sure our drinks never went empty and our experience was second to none.

A friend from Duluth suggested I try Mama's Pizza. I live less than three miles away. With guests visiting and wanting pizza I decided to order carry-out from Mama's Pizza. I am thankful I did. The price was mid-range. The pizza was heavy. No skimping on ingredients. We ordered the house speciality including banana peppers and pineapple with meat and their red sauce. It was exceptional. We also ordered meatballs. The sauce and taste were as good as it gets from a restaurant. We asked if bread was included and they gave us a fresh unsliced loaf. Hot from the oven. Yummy.
The place has its own parking lot. Safe. Family friendly. A smaller seating area but large enough to not feel crowded. When entering you find yourself in front of the pizza ovens and cash register. The man making the pizza was super friendly and proud of his business. This place has been around for over 50 years and I assume he was the second generation. I would return just to have a conversation with him again.
Since moving into the area a year ago I have searched for an excellent, non-chain pizza and as of late had given up. My last two pizzas were from Dominos and Pizza Hut. It isn't great, but at least I know what to expect. Now that I have Mama's Pizza in my phone contact list, problem solved!
Love it. Excellent experience! Wife and I got a pizza and the sampler. Tons of food. Served us fresh Vienna bread before the meal and a complimentary ice cream code afterwards. Try this place and it will become part of your go to spots for a quick and tasty meal! And I'm not much of an Italian food guy. . .
Best Italian!!!. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu - I usually order the baked mostacholi but have gotten the pizza - both fabulous. Even the frozen pizzas they have are amazing! The service is also the best, they make you feel like you are family. Amazing restaurant!!
A St. Paul mainstay. One of those places where the locals keep going to because the food is so good. Service is always friendly. Good food at a fair price. We have been going there for over 30 years.
Favorite pizza place ever.. The only thing I don't like about Mama's is that they don't deliver. But they're worth going to pick up, or eat-in, which is even better.
My heart belongs to Mama's!. Have eaten here as long as I've lived in MN. Service is always always always fast and friendly, and the red sauce is truly one of a kind. Some day I'm hoping to bribe owner Tony for the recipe! Always take the cone at the end.
I have eaten at Mama's for over 25 years. The food is always hot, fresh and fabulous. Searching for the perfect pizza or pasta always leads me back to Rice Street. It's true... My Heart Belongs to MaMa's!!
Great Family Eats!!. This is where the locals eat. Everything I have tried has been great. Mama's is easy on the budget and Tony always has time to stop and visit the kids. The Ice Cream cones that everyone gets for dessert are a nice touch.

Every time Mama's has had to close their doors, the city has been there waiting when they opened back up again. They know, Mama's has the kind of magic you can't make overnight.
The restaurant is in a small space and is always packed with people enjoying the best pizza in the North End neighborhood of St Paul. The custom mural painted on one of the walls is bright and cheerful and helps make the room seem bigger.
