This is my kind of place. If you are into different fun and tastie food give this place a try. I had a lamb dish that I still daydream about and then my mouth starts to water. It's a small hidden restaurant off of university.

As an East African, I have not experienced such authenticity and quality service as I have with Flamingo. I suggest anyone with a pulse to share my joy of their quality!

My experience was excellent. Best Sambusa I've had. They were hot and fresh. Food cooked to order, came out hot and fresh again. Service was wonderful. Support Flamingo!

Great place for great Eritrean/Ethiopian food with other Mediterranean and European foods. It's a neat and clean restaurant, we actually had a tour of the whole area. Definitely recommend!! 6 STARS had it been possible!!

We waited a very long time (30-45 minutes after ordering) for food to arrive, but it was one of the best meals I've ever had. We tried to get the veggie sampler for two, but we were only charged for (and maybe only served?) the regular sampler and it was enough for two people, so our meal was also very cheap (under $17) despite my attempt to correct them to charge us more.

I always get the vegetarian platter - when I have asked they are happy to make sure to get us only vegan options. The sambusas are vegan if you don't get the sauce. This is one of my two favorite Ethiopian places in the city. If you ever get a meal here that is just 'okay' come back another time. I've had lots of great meals here and one or two that were just so/so. Maybe the chef had an off day?

We have been craving Ethiopian ever since we moved from the Pacific Northwest to MN. We found this hidden gem tucked away in St. Paul. It was late on Sunday evening, we got excellent service since we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food was just like what we remembered having in Portland maybe even better. We had the vegetarian combo and the meat combo. Both highly recommended. It has been harder to find vegetarian options in the midwest so I was particularly pleased with the veggie combo. We will definitely come back.

Amazing food experience! The flavors take you to places you didn't know your pallet had. Perfectly prepared, beautifully spiced to taste smoking hot if you want it, or more mild if you request. It's like eating in an Ethiopian Grandma's kitchen.... she's the cook! Going for the food? Go here.

A very pleasant surprise! My husband and I went after church Sunday for the first time, but definitely not the last. The buffet offers tastes of Ethiopia that are unfamiliar, but so delicious. Highly recommended.

Just had there wonderful Sunday Buffet. Having lived in the Horn Africa I would have to say they as fine Ethiopian cuisine a person will find. There goat stew is as good as it comes. 5 star and two thumbs up ! Not to be missed.

There's not a better Ethiopian place in the cities, but it's not in the greatest location. So if you're willing to make the trip, it'll be worth your time! Take a shot! The atmosphere is really cool inside and the art pieces definitely remind me of Africa and its historical significance.
