Should rate 0 stars. Too much good food to fit in me without adding on. Excellent chicken, coleslaw and tater salad. It was so good and the service was friendly and fast. Will stop here again when I'm in the area.
This is by far some of the best Bar B Que we have ever found anywhere in the country! The food is very good, portions large and prices reasonable. Been there 4 times over 5 years and each time have enjoyed the food tremendously.
We stopped just to try somewhere new to us & we loved it. The Texas Stackhouse was the best! And the fries, omg the fries were amazing! Definitely worth stopping every time we're in Salina now.
We love KC bbq - but Hickory Hut is āOURā bbq. āAināt NO place like home.ā

This is an excellent "down home" BBQ establishment. It's very low-key and relaxed, but the food is excellent and the portions are large. We were travelling through Salina when we stopped in for dinner. My we could have easily shared a meal. The only negative was that my daughter ordered one of the Super Spuds. We didn't know what came on it, and it was more of a side dish than a main dish as we had expected. It was yummy, though, and I had plenty of food to share and make a meal of the next day, as well. My husband had the ribs, potato salad and baked beans. I had the two meat, expecting 1/2 portions of each, but they were more like full ones. I chose ribs and brisket, cole slaw and sweet potato fries. Yummy!! Prices were very reasonable, also. We have a new favorite restaurant in Salina :)
We absolutely loved the food and the staff was amazing!!!!!! Our son actually picked the place for supper, so glad he didļæ½ļæ½

I had a great experience for my first time. As I BBQ alot myself, I choice to eat something I normally don't smoke.
So I had burnt ends. With sides of baked beans and coleslaw. It was all really good
I'm so glad we decided to eat here. The service was excellent and the food was perfect. Between the four of us we had the Texas stacker, the slammer, ribs, baked beans, the Santa Fe potato, French fries, and all the different barbecue sauces. Everything tasted great. We will definitely be returning!
The Hickory Hut is a MUST for our Salina visits! We've tried everything on the menu and it is all fabulous. Pulled pork, burnt ends, baked beans and the loaded baked potato (ohhhhh that baked potato sauce!!!!) are my favorites!
If you are in Salina, KS, it's a must to check this place out. I see it very unique BBQ. Sweet glazed pork ribs š yum yum. I had no carb plate: three ribs, shredded brisket, and sausage link.
Best barbeque place in town! Pretty much everything you can order is a hit! I usually get the two meat combo with pulled pork and brisket and baked beans. Tonight I tried the sweet potato fries and they were awesome!
Stopped on our way to omaha from Oklahoma City and SO GLAD we did! If you like BBQ and you are close to this place, GO! Order at counter, daily specials, great service, BBQy interior (not fancy but clean and cozy). We had the Slammer (polish sausage topped with bbq beef and pork and āsecret sauceā, 1/2 Santa Fe party potato, pulled pork, onion rings and baked beans for $24. The bread was the perfect sandwich bread, slightly crusty on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. Meat items were so tasty! Would highly recommend! Onion rings were homemade, thick with a great crusty coating. Half baked potato was huge and topped with lots of deliciousness. My favorite was the baked beansā¦Best Iāve ever tasted.
We ended up taking half home with us. Our car smells like bbq heavenā¤ļø and even though my belly is happily full, I canāt wait for my leftovers tomorrowš
Great local place that had nearly full tables at lunch time. I ordered one of the specials and it left me full! It came with a tangy BBQ sauce (maybe a little honey mustard mixed in) and I loved it. Sweet potato fries worked perfectly with the sauce. Would definitely eat here again!
Solid Midwestern bbq in a great bbq joint atmosphere.

Had the Ripper plate and do have to say the polish sausage is fantastic. As a matter of fact everything my group had was well flavored and tender.
Lots of interesting old photos in the walls to look at as well.
Well worth the extra 5 minutes to stop and eat here.

The best barbecue we have ever had! The staff was amazing and kind. We arrived about 45 minutes before the closed for the day and they didnāt care. Served us quickly and with a smile. Super clean restaurant and plenty of parking. The best food we have had on our road trip across the country!
