So happy we found this location and had dinner tonight! The atmosphere was great and our server was so friendly and helpful! Have not been to a sit down Indian restaurant for years and this was an amazing experience. Will be sure to visit here again on my next trip to Utah; thank you for being the highlight of the trip!
Cute Indian restaurant run by a Punjabi owner! After hiking in Utah for a week we were hungry for some Indian food before catching flight to home. This restaurant is very close to SLC. Food here, is not Americanized lame Indian food. They know their spices and every dish was flavorful, fresh and plentiful. If you like Northern Indian food, check out this place for sure.
I picked this restaurant randomly because it was close to my boyfriend's work and we wanted to have a special lunch date. The food is a cut well above the rest! You can taste how fresh the ingredients are! They even make their own yogurt in house for the mango lassi! The staff is incredibly friendly, and we learned a fair bit about Indian cuisine. We will definitely be coming back and take the extra few minutes to order and pick up from here instead of somewhere closer to home. I tried the Chicken Shahi Korma and my boyfriend had the Chicken Vindaloo. The samosas were so good that I ordered more to take home!
I would like to add that they now serve food on normal plates and have restaurant quality silverware.
Don't let the location deter you! The inside is wonderful and cozy.
This restaurant turned out to be a good surprise during our stop in SLC. We loved the Goat curry so much that we ordered one more for takeout. Chicken tikka masala and the naans were good too. Restaurant owner has been really great with the suggestions.
The place is fantastic! Our waitress Param was awesome. They make this to the order. So if your in a hurry order ahead of time. Otherwise it’s worth the wait! I got the chicken curry and it was fantastic. Heat level was just perfect as I ordered. If your in town check it out.
Let me tell you, you have to be patient and wait for the food. They cook fresh. And you can tell!
This was one of the best Indian restaurants I have tried in North America. Really good food.
My father, who is from India, mentioned some dishes were as good, if not better, as India.
Absolutely delicious! Can't wait to come back to SLC and eat here!
Loved eating here. They make a habanero curry sauce for dipping that is great (hot). Their menu is good and service was excellent.
One thing to note is that everything is served as if it were to go. This includes bottled water, plastic cups, plastic plates (nice plates), plastic utensils (albeit it nice ones that are chromed). I am sure this has helped with their preparation and and cleanup. I didn't mind as this is not a fancy restaurant.
Food is mostly Indian though there are a couple American items like grilled cheese with fries and Buffalo wings and sone drinks.
The food was excellently prepared. The Basmati rice was perfect. The lamb in my Tikka Masala was very tender and the flavor was memorably delicious.
Try them out. You won't be disappointed.
The best Indian spot in SLC! The service is great and the food is amazing.
We had the appetizer sampler, cheese garlic naan to start and chicken saag + chicken tiki masala for mains.
Everything we had was amazing- the saag was to die for! We saw many people ordering ahead since they do quote a 30-45 min wait for food.
This is the best indian food I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The service is amazing and the owner is always there to greet you and make you feel welcomed. I eat here every week and shall continue to do so as long as I can.
Food was amazing, they really take time to describe the meal options for you so you get something you're happy with.
Great people, calm atmosphere.
Food does take about 30 minutes to cook but it was worth the wait. They do have a sign stating such when you walk in so they're very transparent about the service.
THE best naan in the valley, hands down. Fight me. Everything else is absolutely delicious too. I wish I live closer but it's probably a good thing I don't because otherwise I'd be eating there ALL. THE. TIME. and my bank acct can't handle that.
Moved from Colorado. First time tried here the food was absolutely fantastic tastey. Ms.Paramjeet was very friendly so perfect as a explained food so nicely tried there hubaner hot sauce too nice and spicy.I had tandoori cken , keema samosa, lamb vindaloo. Awsome goat birayni wass so good and soft and tender. Is 10/10.
Thank yiu for everything.
This was one of the best food we had in a really really long time. Perfect taste, great portion size and we loved the food!! Would definitely visit again if we get a chance. Would definitely recommend to everyone in and around Salt Lake city.
Absolutely hidden gem. Simply amazing. I didn’t satisfy like this a while. Food was amazingly good and delicious. We had a some bad experience about Indian food when we arrive at Salt Lake City but this place changed our experience and now we know how taste real Indian food and it’s good. Highly recommended. Now this place is turn one of our favorite restaurants. 😁😊🥰
What a wonderful place! We dined in here and it was delicious. When you dine in here they have containers which is the best idea.
All the dishes were distinct and very flavorful. I recommend having the saag, and the chay tea, Indian coffee and the naan is amazing. Even the rice is flavorful.
The staff here is wonderful and super friendly. I recommend this place! Great for takeout and for eating in.
Amazing service. Food is super tasty everything tasted good and the naan was also great overall 5 out 5. Chicken curry, chicken pakora.
Amazing food great people so friendly and welcoming we eat here again and again!!!! We love this place!!!!
Definitely best Indian food from the area. Curry is always so flavorful, raita is fresh and perfectly mixed, and the spice levels are great for people who like spice and those who don't. Highly recommend if you haven't already
2023 update:
They're still great! I've been going here off and on since before they moved from downtown. They're still great and still one of the best in the city. This time I tried the chilli curry ( I think?) and it was really flavorful. They used bell peppers (not chilli peppers) but it was still good. I asked for extra hot but, for me, that's like a medium.
I'm still surprised they open. Not because they're food is bad (it isn't), but it's the only thing left in this hotel! Don't assume they're shut down!
Old review:
Best lamb saag I've had! The crew is great too!
