Food is amazing I don't think they have a bad item on the menu. Huge pieces of corned beef on the Reuben. Really good fries.
Service was another thing. Maybe it was just a really off Wednesday night but drinks where consistently not right. Food order took almost an hour to put in. When the food came out it was really good sone items where missing like dipping sauces not a huge deal.
Overall I would give them another shot in hopes this was just a fluke.
This might be my favorite spot in Salt Lake city so far. We're from Chicago and have been looking for an IPA similar to daisy cutter and antihero. The 1972 IPA hit the nail on the head!
The upstairs patio is airy and the tables are spaced at a comfortable distance.
I ordered the ruben with a salad. Theyre my go to sandwhich and i was not disapointed. My husband got the pastromi and swiss panini. It was fabulously crunchy! Portions are generous!
We look forward to visiting again soon.

Food was great. Pub Poutine is a great "rif" on classic Canadian Poutine. Great Pasta Salads, Portabella burger spot on.
I enjoyed interacting with the staff. I had to get used to having a "wondering" wait staff but it worked.

Delicious, great beer, scratch handmade food. We had the enchiladas: a cheese and chicken. The chicken was creamy. The poutine-they owned their local version with homemade gravy. And the homemade cheese cake is delicious 🤤 . We had the Mexican beer with fresh lime wedges. Great servers and great music!
I met up with my board chairman here on his recommendation that they have the best French onion soup and pasta salad combo. It was a perfect day for Utah weather and we sat on the balcony. The server came quick and took our order. Both of us got the French onion and pasta salad. The food came quick and he was right, the French onion was fantastic! Not too salty. Perfect amount of onion sweetness. Cheesy and the bread was delicious. I would recommend for a casual meet up with coworkers and friends.
The service, food, and atmosphere was terrific. Or server was very attentive and personable. The salmon sandwich on wheat toast, versus combata roll, was perfect! The fries were tasty as was the salad, just perhaps ask for Less dressing. Wonderful experience.
Food was good. Staff was great. Menu was too small. Not enough options. Overall it was a good place I just wish they had more food options.
Outside dining looked nice. I would like to go back and hangout on the patio.
The chicken tacos, French onion soup and carrot cake are a few favorites. They have great vegetarian options as well as a small variety of beer. Sometimes a little noisy but open concept and fun views.

I usually come here to meet a business colleague but the vibe at the restaurant is so chill. I’d love to be here for drinks! But honestly it’s a great local place.
Stopped in for a beer and a bite and let me say in a word, FANTASTIC! Service was amazing and the team was very attentive. We asked for no jalapeno on our nachos and received all topping on the side. Never have I thought of such a masterpiece lol my fiance and 3 boys got to all make our own individual plates of nachos out of the main dish. It was exceptional insight from our server!
Everything is made in house and the taste truly comes through. All the flavors were popping! The beer was an absolute delight. We tried an IPA and a brown that was a nitro. They definitely rocked it on both the brew and the bites. DELICIOUS! Thank you desert edge for the hospitality!

This was my first time at Desert Edge, and it will NOT be my last. The food and service were great. We sat outside, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Especially as the sun started to set and the lights of Trolley Square came on.

We stopped by for a quick lunch and we were pleasantly surprised! Not only was it quick, but it was delicious and the service was fantastic! I'd love to stop by again the next time I'm in SLC.
The drinks were amazing and the dessert was fabulous. Loved the service!! The staff was so attentive and fun. Definitely a place to check out if you're at Trolley Square.
Great food! Nice service. It’s nice to sit down for a quick lunch and have quality food. I had the curry sandwich. The French dip is really good as well. The craft beers are very good!! Go check it out!!
