Staff members were very friendly, atmosphere was relaxed, prices were great and food was simple but done VERY WELL. I had the grinder sandwich with ham and it was delicious! I loved that they didn’t over cook the veggies. Everything tasted fresh. My husband and I loved the cinnamon rolls. They were fluffy and the perfect amount of sweetness. We will be back regularly.
Picked up cinnamon rolls to go several days this week. They are amazing! (If you're lucky enough to get them fresh out of the oven, they are unbeatable.) The people are great, too. Jules is an incredible person, eager to serve, kind, and a just good human. This is a perfect, small-business vibe that I'm happy to support and recommend!
Staff is super friendly! Prices are decent and oh boy even their drip coffee is great! I recommend the veggie breakfast burrito and a cinnamon roll for later. They have been closed the last two times I tried them but I hope they reopen soon.
My boyfriend and I are regulars here and this place always hits the spot!! It’s the perfect place to come if you’re looking for a cozy vibes and a quick bite that tastes perfectly homemade. The service is always outstanding and we love coming in and seeing everyone and catching up. If you get a chance make sure to stop by!!
This is the place for hashbrowns made from potatoes grated into the pan and the perfect just out of the oven cinnamon roll. Nice prices and friendly staff.

Really good sandwich! We got the club and split it, it was pretty big. I meant to get a picture, but, we are it up before I realized I forgot to snap a picture! Definitely the best club I've had in a very, very long time!!! Super friendly staff that made me want to come back again, SOON! I'm trying one of their vegan cinnamon rolls next time!!!
Small and cozy little breakfast stop that’s perfect for anyone living in the neighborhood.
There isn’t too much of a line and I feel like it’s a little local secret. There’s plenty of seating for enjoying your breakfast while reading a book or doing some work even.
I ordered the California omelet with hash browns and a cinnamon roll. The hash browns were delicious, could be a little more crunchy but it was good. The avocado and provolone on the omelet was a nice combo. The homemade cinnamon rolls were not too greasy or overly sweet.
Amazing breakfast. My second time there. They have amazing breakfast. First time, I had California omelette and French toast. Second time, I had California omelette and cinnamon roll. Every item tastes amazing. The meal was inexpensive and good quality.
This is a tiny local breakfast/lunch joint in the Avenues. The breakfast food itself is decent, but the cinnamon rolls are incredible (highly recommend!).
As noted earlier, this is a small restaurant and typically only has 1-2 people on staff. So the service is usually a little slow - just be prepared for that.

Straw Market is such an affordable restaurant with great food and extremely kind workers and excellent service! $2 cinnamon rolls and I would recommend the veggie burrito. Perfect for brunch! Did wish the employees were wearing masks but otherwise enjoyed this experience.
Neighborhood needs more restaurants like here, Straw Market:
Opens on Sunday (is a huge credit), home cook meal style food with great price, their great customer care which can’t be faked (better word than “service”), and quiet & calm vibes with the natural sunlight.
This is the place you want to go on lazy Saturday and Sunday morning.
Had an omelet and a breakfast burrito. The food was fresh and tasty. Their ambiance is decent. Overall a nice joint to grab a quick bite.
I absolutely love their cinnamon rolls! They keep their food in reasonable price ranges and offer some nice vegan options! The employees are always super kind and I always leave feeling happy and full.
Good prices! Though they did recently rise by a couple dollars. Two of us ate for $20. Cute location in the aves. Staff is always friendly and there’s almost always a table open if not several. Things got busy just around 10, I’m assuming lots of locals popping in for a Sunday breakfast. But when we arrived around 9 am there was maybe one other person there. Scrambled eggs just like momma makes them at home! I’ve seen several people pop in just to sit and chomp down two of the $2 cinnamon rolls. They’re very well frosted and quite a delight.
Sometimes simplicity is the best. A very cozy atmosphere - they do breakfast and they do it right with simple, good tasting fare that is light on the wallet but leaves you full.
I highly recommend this place
Our second time at Straw Market - we get a yummy breakfast when we are in town. Delicious, fresh ingredients, very good freshly brewed coffee and my husband loves the cinnamon rolls. We always get the full breakfast, have not tried avocado toast or burrito but the burrito looks good. Sunny and airy spot with easy parking out front. Our 'go to' spot for breakfast. :-)
