Dr. Glasgow and NP Julie O'Brien were absolutely wonderful and treated my mother and my entire family with love and compassion. The entire nursing staff, nursing aides, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist and food staff were all wonderful as well. My family was very anxious about this surgery but everyone at Huntsman was patient with us and answered all of our questions. This hospital caters to families and they went out of their way to make us comfortable. One of the reviews stated that Huntsman Hospital is like a "spa" and I would agree. They made my mom's recovery go twice as fast as expected and put my family at ease. I would highly recommend Glasgow's team and this hospital!
The melanoma clinic 2D and the staff there have saved my life and continue to guide and help me on the journey to health and happiness! They treat me like family and will do anything to help me stay healthy! Even in areas that have nothing to do with melanoma! They care about me and my life! I can't say enough about them. If you need treatment for cancer of any kind- this is where you want to be! Thank you Huntsman and especially Dr. Hyngstrom and Marianne Bowling! You're amazing! ❤️
The staff was very kind and carrying. Was well treated recommend to anybody who is suffering. And a big thanks to the nursing staff
They are the best in attention and is a beautiful place, my mom is in the best hands, I am thankfull with all team
Thanks for taking such great care of me! Top notch staff and Doctors! Always treated with dignity and treat you as a person not as an object. I truly appreciate how they value my time and still give you excellent service! (: RB
Doctors, nurses, medical students, everyone that came in to help my grandmother during her time here were the best. All so caring and very diligent on finding a soloution. Everyone let me and my family do as we pleased as we were there with my grandmother. They gave us everything we needed and that she needed to be comfortable. Unfortunately she is not here but god, am I thankful for this center and everyone within the establishment. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
This is the best place for my husband they take very good care of him if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have him today
The doctors, nurses, CNAs and the entire staff make what can be the worst thing ever into something you can appreciate. The best hospital I have ever been associated with. They saved my life on multiple occasions, literally.
Absolutely the best! The most amazing doctors and staff! We were treated like royalty. Thank you to everyone for taking good care of us.
It's still one of the best hospital's in the West I was so pleased with the staff they were awesome and would go back every time
Huntsman Cancer Institute has been helping me curing my cancer and I would recommend anybody that would have cancer to this Hospital they've treated me really well
As both a patient of HCI and one who has frequent contact with many other cancer patients there, HCI provides top quality care given by top quality, deeply caring people. (Search for "Patient-to-Patient" art giveaway that I do to see how I have had direct, personal conversation and interaction with over 300 HCI patients out side the supervision of HCI staff but in the HCI Clinic 1A lobby.)
Amazing facility, provided excellent care, with all kinds of nice touches that would be extra or deemed impossible elsewhere. But really it was the people, all were excellent!
I don’t love that I have cancer. I don’t love that I spend most of my time tired and sick. But I do love that the Huntsman Cancer Center’s entire staff of doctors, RNS, CNAS, snack ladies, cafe chefs, front desk assistants, janitors, residents, lab technicians etc...are kind, welcoming, knowledgeable people with a passion to see that I get the best available treatment so I can heal. They are truly concerned about every one who enters their doors. The patient. Patient’s family and spouse. They have combined the starkness of treating cancer with a genuine positivity for my future success. I am so lucky to have this facility in my backyard.
The best! Everyone was so so nice. Dr Abraham went out and brought back juice and graham crackers for my daughter and nephew I had with me. They were honestly just so nice and even when I got my blood drawn the girl was the sweetest soul ever. Thank you!
Beautiful views and good food (for a hospital). It could obviously be a little more seasoned but hospital food isn’t known for its seasoning for a reason. I prefer going here over the main hospital because of it’s made-to-order food, instead of burgers that have been under a heat lamp. Plus the fries are yummy :)
Asian salad was good. The salmon that was added was a bit dry.
It's a bit of a maze to find it and the elevator system is super odd. Shut down all but a few elevators but tell everyone to keep wearing masks... restaurant is really good once you find it. Really spacious good view of salt lake and the area. If your at the Hospital and have a bit to find it I recommend checking it out.
Such a beautiful view at the top of the huntsman Cancer center good food
This is a great place to eat. Its hidden away on the 6th floor of the Huntsman Cancer Institute. The best view of the ENTIRE Salt Lake Valley I have ever seen.
For a wonderfully unique dinning experience, great range of food both domestic and international offerings, prepared by some of the best chefs in the State of Utah.
A spectacular view of the beautiful Salt Lake Valley.
A favorite Lunch Spot for Medical Providers, Staff, and Faculty, Patients and Family's.
Very reasonably priced!
Best view possibly in the state. You can see more than 180 degrees. Incredible view of the valley. I like the food and service too. Check this place out if you are at Huntsman Cancer Hospital.
Should note this is located in a research institute attached to Huntsman Cancer Hospital (HCH) - 6th floor and great views if minimal pollution/clouds. Food is excellent and VERY reasonably priced - also a Starbucks adjacent (FYI).
Jon M Huntsman had an excellent mindset - when cancer is ultimately cured and there's no need for a cancer hospital he wanted to turn HCH into a Ritz Carlton type of hotel; The Point Restaurant could easily achieve this standard (I have eaten in many a hospital cafeteria and I was taken aback by the quality of food and location/views/etc). Obviously many patrons of this restaurant are there as patients or caregivers so it is a little somber and sobering to keep in mind.
The staff is very friendly and willing to make sure that the food is done the way you would like it, and if there is anything that you need like condiments that may not be out or things of that sort as long as they have them they are willing to get them for you. The food is great I've tried seven or eight options so far and I've not been disappointed once.
This place is wonderful. Great breakfast in the morning, made to order. Lunch features a guest restaurant or carver special. Excellent made to order salads, a grill, burritos/wraps, daily special, and soups. There is a Starbucks inside also (open until 6pm after the restaurant closes at 2pm). Mr. Huntsman wanted this to be NOT your typical hospital food and he succeeded. Also, best views of the valley.
Great food, clean environment, beautiful views. Nice getaway when you need a peaceful lunch with a view of the valley This! This is a great stop for a quick meal of good quality and there is a Starbucks in case you need an extra beverage. The food is not "cheap "(I paid $8 for a green apple gorgonzola salad) but you get quite a large serving and very fresh ingredients. It is totally worth it in my opinion.
During COVID-19 they are being very cautious and clean and are very considerate about reducing spread. Only 2 individuals are allowed at each table so I don't recommend going with a large party at the moment.
At the top of Huntsman Cancer Institute, has excellent views and good food though a tad on the expensive side. It has guest restaurants different days of the week, a separate Starbucks with good service, and good enough deserts. Wish it were open at night too, but the view is too good to rate it less than 5 stars. Especially if you work on campus of University of Utah and want a good view plus good food. Will update a photo later.
Excellent food, fantastic views.
Staff is extremely friendly and patient. Food is fairly priced for a hospital/workplace cafeteria. Everything is made fresh. The salads are huge and so good! The weekly specials always draw me in. You can also check what is being served on university hospitals website
I would give the Point a five but, twice now that I have gone for breakfast and seeing people behind the line eating their breakfast. I have never seen the lady actually cooking breakfast ever eat behind the line. I worked for several years in the food industry. I would think management would retrain them or pull their permit but the chef himself eats behind the lines. I wouldn't want the making my food. The breakfast lady seems professional enough though. I haven't seen her do it.
Also, love the breakfast cashier! She fun and bubbly and good at explaining things.
We love the food but question some of the people behind the lines. We'll go back because we like the breakfast lady and she makes the best eggs!
You really can't beat the view at the point. You can see all of Salt Lake City and the surrounding suburbs, all of the mountains and out to the great salt lake. The food is at or above average for a cafeteria. They have multiple restaurants like a grill, Mexican food, home cooking and rotating restaurant that rotates daily.
The view is more fantastic then the food. The food is simple - but I was grateful to have it when waiting for hours for a family member at Hunstman. The menu is moderately priced. Come for the view, and enjoy a simple meal.
