Excellent, creative menu. The appetizers for us were the star - fresh, flavorful and inspired. Each thing we tried was followed by, ‘Never had anything like that before!’ Service was very good - attentive but unobtrusive. Nice wine list with several wines by the glass. A handful of specialty cocktails. Cool, comfortable space. Very highly recommended.

LOVED my first SLC experience. The wait staff were very attentive- with the perfect balance. The scone was melt in your mouth with an almost- southern pimento spread to go with it. The calamari were light and citrusy. I didn’t get pictures of the main course, but desert was beautiful and had fun textures and flavors. 5/5 stars for sure

Great food. Very creative and tasty dishes. The menu changes quite a bit so there is quite a bit of variety. Excellent drinks. Love the vegetarian options. Very attentive staff. Since finding this place we have been there quite a bit. I would say every now and then we have a dish that's not quite perfect but that's more the exception- the variety and overall dining experience are worth it. I initially thought the cart option was quirky but now I wish it was everywhere.

Amazing ambiance. This restaurant was a full on experience. Dim sum carts provide the opportunity to view the appetizers prior to purchasing them. I had the calamari fried rice, NY strip, Apple cheesecake puff pastry and washed it all down with a Hot Toddy. The calamari fried rice was jam packed with flavor and the crunchy rice was a nice touch. The NY strip was cooked to perfection and was so tender. The smoked potatoes and broccolini were also delicious. The dessert was heavenly and the hot toddy was refreshing and perfect for the colder weather. Overall SLC Eatery gets 5 stars for me. It was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and it’s a great place to bring your friends or significant others. It’s on the pricier side and I splurged a bit after tipping I spent $100 total. For the price it was well worth it!

Portlander visiting SLC Eatery by way of local recommendation! I'm a major foodie and I was looking for a brunch spot during my visit. This place did not disappoint! Except the seating layout options could be optimized. In my reservation, I specifically requested to NOT be sat by the kitchen, and yet... The hostess takes us to a table adjacent to the kitchen. Had My reservation been for even an hour later in the day where the restaurant was completely full, I wouldn't have been able to switch tables. Thus, likely putting a sour taste in my experience there. (I just don't like to sit near kitchens, they are loud, it's not an unreasonable or uncommon request). More cozy chairs would be an idea! The menu was fire. No complaints there.

Cute spot with a creative menu and surprisingly delicious dishes. The okonomiyaki eggs benedict was awesome! Definitely coming back to try dinner next time I'm in town.

This was a fun spot that’s worth trying. Didn’t notice the two parking spots out front so we had to park down the street a little. The Utah scone was the highlight of the visit. The desserts off the cart were tasty, but the two chocolate/ricotta donuts weren’t anything special. One of the dessert was vegan and you would never know it! We were impressed with it but I’d like for it to have had a stronger pistachio flavor. The smoked cheddar drop biscuits were good, but I realized that I didn’t notice any cheese as the name implies. There was also a pretty strong fennel flavor, so if that’s something you don’t like I’d choose something different.

wow, just wow! this restaurant is fantastic! they come around with a dim sum cart full of hot and cold options to pick from and that is such a fun concept to try new small plates! the shrimp were phenomenal i will say! as for entrees the mafaldine was absolutely delicious i wanted to lick the plate clean. the bison as well was wonderful and tender. oh and the service was so great! it was a great night having dinner here! 10/10 am recommending to anyone looking for somewhere new to try modern american classic dishes with a unique twist!

Loved this little gem. First time there. Tasty mint julep. Duck breast was rich and delicious. The coriander past great too. Highlights were the grilled calamari and the artichoke quesadilla starters.

This is definitely top 3 of my favorite restaurants in salt lake. They are so delicious. Their scones are amazing, and their ever changing menu never disappoints. They make great drinks and have great service, not to mention the ambiance is so cute. I wish parking was better but it’s worth having to walk a few steps.

(BRUNCH REVIEW BELOW, MUCH BETTER) I'm going to give this place 3 stars. I hear their brunch is better, so we will have to try that out, but our dinner experience wasn't exemplary by any means. The ambience of the restaurant is SUPERB. Love the indoor seating, but the outdoor seating is so pleasant and relaxing, you definitely sit outside if you have the option. This restaurant is unique in that they offer a table side preview on a cart of their items on the cart menu. So they swing by and show you what the dish looks like before ordering. We ordered the fried avacado, the meatballs, and the french onion dip. My husband loved the dip, while the avacado and the meatballs were not our favorite. They were good, but we didn't care for the pairing of the main item to the sauces within them. Oysters- Everyone loved these. My friend had the beet salad and she loves beets (obviously) but was really disappointed with the flavor of this. We all ordered the burger and the chicken milanese. My husband said the burger was excellent. I had the chicken. I didn't realize it was fried, so that's my bad, but it was REALLY fried. Very hard on the outside, and the fried part would just fall off of the chicken itself. It took away a lot of flavor, but the sauce it came with seemed to be a similar sauce to the fried avacado, and somewhat similar to the meatballs. I was very confused at that. The polenta was delicious, but wasn't my favorite when mixed with the sauce of the chicken. For drinks, the purple drank and the ny sour were ordered, and they were very strong and not enjoyed, unfortunately. -------- Update for Brunch Loved our brunch experience here! Such a different experience than the dinner one we had awhile ago. Their flavors were spot on and we're creative and delicious. I got the tostada, with eggs and black beans, etc. It was so tasty! And my friend got the eggs Benedict and they were also incredible. She got the bloody Mary and it came with a slice of bacon, how brilliant! I got the Aeperol Spritz, which I loved. The Utah scones were so dense, in the best of ways ❤️

This was our first time there and it was lovely! Upscale-but-comfy-casual atmosphere, incredible food, amazing service. The artichoke quesadilla was amazing (and I don't typically like artichokes). We'll be back!

Incredible & unique food. Quality & chef driven and surprisingly affordable given the quality. More than fast food but less than a fancy fine dining place. Atmosphere is stylish and bright. Servers are great! Definitely will be going back.

Our waitress was a bit sassy, but everyone else was fabulous. Kudos to Katie! She took group photos for us. Food is always so so good.

This restaurant is amazing! The staff was top notch- friendly, helpful, fast, and professional. All the dishes we had were soooooo good- the roasted Cauliflower, the prawns, the risotto. Everything was mouth wateringly delicious. I love that SLC Eatery is so supportive of the local community, too. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back!

This was excellent food. The dining area inside is small but they also had some fun outdoor tables. They bring several rounds of items to choose from on the cart. I loved the calamari with fried rice. The miso cake with caramelized bananas was also excellent. My husband had the pasta with lobster and it was yummy.
