Outstanding food, good prices, very friendly staff (and chef!). The soft shell crab was perfect. I ended up ordering extra rolls to take back to the hotel room for later. Great job!

Love this place! Once they fell under new management, this place became absolutely fabulous! Everything is good there, everything. And the service is phenomenal. It is a little cold in the restaurant, but that's me being picky, and I'm always cold anyway. Definitely give this place a try!

Tokai Sushi is located in a larger shopping area called Jordan Landing. It has a nice open space in front of the restaurant and shares parking with other businesses in the area. Parking is most available in the back of the building. The atmosphere is good and is not too noisy. The bento boxes are a decent deal as you get three items. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, tempura, and sushi. My wife had teriyaki beef, salmon, and sashimi. It comes with music soup to start which was too salty for me. The sushi was OK. The tempura was on the sweet side and average. The teriyaki chicken and beef were very good. The salad was average as well. The plating was not the best as the plates are much bigger than the portions you get. Overall a 3.5-4 star place with decent service and good atmosphere.

Took the kids out for Sushi recently and after we were seated our orders were taken quickly. Food was out fast and gone even faster. I tried the Coco and the Playboy both were delicious. When we left the staff thanked us, if we lived closer I'd go back for sure!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND, both service and food were amazing, have never visited Japan but I imagine that flavors and generosity are similar to this restaurant. As soon as you walk in, the chef will greet you. There is a menu in front of the door that you can look at while you wait to be seated. Wait time for seating wasn't longer than a minute. I ordered the 3 item bento box, with teriyaki beef and salmon as well as the 5 pcs tempura, plus a spicy crab roll. Although all items were delicious, the sesame seeds they use have an amazing roasted flavor that pops in your mouth. All meats were cooked on point and the vegetables were fresh. Highly recommend and will return to try more items.

Pretty decent little sushi and ramen place. Got a spicy tuna roll and their tonkatsu ramen - large. Had some communication issues with my server. I wanted extra noodles but after eating the roll and my bowl I was glad I didn't get them. Spicy tuna roll was good but felt small. The ramen was alright. I have found places that specialize in ramen have very flavorful broths and ive been spoiled by them. This was good and I'd eat it again. Despite issues I had with my server she was very attentive and kept my drink full. She checked in on me just enough that if I had needs or anything she was present but didn't "helicopter mom" me. No crushed garlic for my ramen 😞 but they had black garlic oil which was an ok substitute.

Ramen was good but the broth wasn’t as flavorful as I was hoping. And they don’t give you a ton of meat. Noodles themselves were nice. One of our ramen cups had leaked upon delivery.

So I just traveled over to Salt Lake City and I got lucky. I’m staying at Hilton hotel, and within walking distance was this fabulous sushi restaurant. I have to tell you, it’s one of my favorite Japanese places I’ve ever eaten. The staff was very kind ,and accommodating, and the food. Let me tell you,the food is so delicious. I started it off with miso soup and then jumped over to two different sushi rolls They were so delicious, I ate every bit of it. tomorrow I have to travel over to Nevada but I will definitely be traveling back through Salt Lake to stop here.

The food was okay. We didn't love the sushi and ramen as much as other places. The restaurant was clean and the staff was nice.

Came here for the first time and the sushi chef was so nice. Very welcoming environment with delicious food! Was hoping to get a marinated egg in my ramen but that’s okay. The toro was at a really good price and I think he even gave me an extra piece which is so incredibly kind. 10/10 Will be back. :-)

Good first time experience. Clean environment. Tried the spicy tuna appetizer, honey roll, kamakazie roll, & coco roll. All the rolls were good & unique compared to other sushi places nearby. Would definitely come again. Friendly service that made sure you were taken care of.

We visited after the owner posted in our Facebook group "Support Local Utah Restaurants" and I am totally in love with this joint for a casual place to get sushi. My favorite roll was the "shrimp killer", with a close second being "crunchy dragon" because of a hint of heat on the back end. Normally gyoza are pretty basic, but the vinegar here is outstanding, and I found myself double dipping. The service was excellent -- even though Andrew had eight tables (if you're not in the restaurant business, that's a lot!) at one time, nothing was lacking. We will definitely be back.

Been going here for years and they never disappoint. The owners are always so kind to us so we were sad when the fire at the strip closed them down for a while. I'm so excited that they're back in action down in Jordan Landing! It's been a year but the sushi is still just as amazing! The family and I have missed them so much, we will absolutely be coming back! ❤️

I agree here with a friend and it was great! The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very attentive and helpful. I always like to ask what they recommend the double spicy, which was great! We also got the Philly II (I'm a big fan of Philly rolls), and the Rainbow. They were all very tasty! I would definitely recommend!

In an ever evolving search for great sushi we were recommended this spot, and they didn’t disappoint. The rolls were delicious, the miso was on point and the appetizers were great. We tried 5 different rolls and they were all incredible. The downfall of the tempura roll was that it simply fell apart, which made it incredibly difficult to eat with chopsticks, but the flavor was amazing. Service was a little slow but friendly. All in all we loved this place, and highly recommend. Vegas crunch Las Vegas Double spicy Vampire Dragon
