I couldn't get over the quality of the bun dough. As a meat bun lover, this has been my favorite in Salt Lake City in over a decade. Whoever makes these is an artist!
Not only are the buns soft and delicious, but affordable and made fresh. The staff is so nice and they run such a hidden gem in Utah. Ni surprise they've been around for so long.

Just had the most pleasant experience here! I went in looking for coconut buns and a fruit cake. They were out of the bun, but they assured me that they could save me some if I went called ahead and they would put it aside so it doesn't run out. I went ahead and tried the passion fruit cake, and oh my goodness! It tasted like a fluffy cloud! Yumm, the passion fruit is not overwhelmingly sweet. Can't wait to come back soon and try the buns!
One of the best cakes I have tried. I always wanted to visit the shop and after many years I finally did and tried it. It is not that expensive for the quality of their cakes. Perfect 10
5/12/22: You can order birthday cake the day before and pick up the next day. The birthday cake taste good but not too special. However, we definitely like it better than American overly sweetened and sugary cakes.
Now onto the best thing about this bakery: you HAVE TO try their pastries. They bake fresh, yummy pastries! I highly recommend the corn, cheese and sausage. All toppings and fillings taste good so just pick a variety and you will find your favorite.
About the banh mi, it actually tastes really good, I would even say it’s the best banh mi that I have tried so far here in Utah. However, I wish it would have been bigger. The banh mi’s size is actually quite small.

Food and prices are unbeatable. Very friendly and accommodating proprietor. BANH MI is hearty with yummy Vietnamese salami. We like their Ham buns and chocolate creme cake.
Cream filled bun is yummy but could use a tad bit more cream. Tiramisu and chocolate cakes could use a little more flavor. Very nice couple though and we'll be back for the cream bun to support local.
I purchased a chocolate mousse cake from this location and it was delicious! It was flavorful but not too rich, decorative but not over the top, and so fresh. I will absolutely be back. It’s so easy for a bakery to cut corners but it shows, these folks took the time to make a quality product. I don’t have extensive experience but I was very happy with my purchase.
I ordered a durian birthday cake and it’s very yummy and pretty. American cakes are way too sweet for me, so I keep searching for a Vietnamese bakery that do not add too much sugar and now I you! Highly recommended.
It's a hidden little shop but super tasty! Got the red bean bun, taro bun, and a slice of tiramisu. All just perfect
I'm so pleased with the BBQ pork bun! I've been eating them for many years and glad they haven't changed!
The taro buns and drinks are my favorite. Staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable.
2022 Edit: It appears that it is now under new ownership. I just tried the Banh Mi for the first time, a new addition to the menu since my last review. Absolutely incredible and authentic. Looks like the menu has expanded now with more sandwich options. But the quality has stayed the same- Love this place.
I bring people from out of state here regularly, and every single one of them talks about searching for a place like this when they fly back home- none of which have been successful. I also bring the turkey/ham buns to work for the crew and folks just can't get enough, always asking where I got it from. Pricing is fair for the quality provided.
We had the Pineapple Bun, Coconut Bun, and the Sausage Corn Onion Bun. Each of them were delicious. The bread was soft and fluffy. I would definitely love to come back!

I like the cakes and breads I ordered from this bakery nearly every week, I told my friends and coworkers brought breads and cakes from this place and everyone love them. BECAUSE I know this place only sells fresh breads without preservatives , it is hard now because every store or bakery wants to extend shelf life for their food! The breads only stays on the shelf for one day, and taken down when they close the store at the end of the day! Doing business like this honest not a lot.
The birthday cakes I ordered that was the best cake I ever have, it’s a kind of gourmet cake. They have different kinds of cake like fruit cakes and cream cheese cakes or coffee cake, I like the fruit cakes a lot, I would not buy cake from the other bakery after I tried cakes I order from this place, because it was fresh and not too sweet, have different kinds of fruits inside the cake.Most places sell cakes they’re not cakes, you couldn’t taste anything else other than Sugar.
During the pandemic time they ONLY do take out, do not allow customers dine in, its for the protection of public health. Of course they were not so brave when facing the COVID-19, they Always wearing Masks when they bring you your orders. I don’t blame them I still order my cakes and breads from them.
They have really awesome baked buns. I tried the coconut bun and love it. When I got there, they were sold out of several things so go early. We waited in the front and someone took our order from the door. They have a menu posted on the glass wall. 💯 recommend!
