This place never disappoints. Authentic Mexican food places them head and shoulders over all the TexMex establishments. Kudos to them for offering a special dish for the real Mexican Independence Day, September 16th. I live in Austin, but anytime I am in San Antonio I return here. I highly recommend Paloma Blanca if you are looking for real Mexican food done right!
My favorite restaurant in San Antonio, I try to eat there every time I am in town. May be my favorite Mexican restaurant of all of Houston and San Antonio. Their thick, hardy but crunchy chips are one of a kind. I highly recommend the Encihilidas Divorciadadas, my personal favorite. Also awesome they offer steamed veggies and off the menu options for folks with finicky tastes or lower carb lifestyles.
Highly recommend the caldo tlalpeno, the mezcal margarita, y the table side guac

I loved this place the food is amazing and the staff is so nice and fast to serve you drinks.
Fabulous food, great service and the gluten free menu is very good as well! Highly recommend!!
Walked into a great relaxing atmosphere and was seated right away. Waiter came and took our drink order immediately and brought us chips and salsa. Margaritas were definitely one of a kind. Our food came immediately and was amazing! Very impressed with food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely recommend to others and be back soon!
OMGosh...this place is fantastic! Everything from the chips to the drinks, wait staff, meal, dessert...top notch
Highest quality ingredients and a special flavor. Impeccable atmosphere. The only spot I have dinner when I visit San Antonio!
Hands down the best food we have had while visiting. The service and food were amazing.
We had such a wonderful experience last night celebrating my husbands birthday. We were in the Vela party room and I cant express enough how perfect the evening went! The food was delicious and appetizers were spot on. The drinks were great too’ The service was impeccable! Thank you Paloma Blanca for making our evening so enjoyable! We will do it again for sure!

My husband and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary. The food was delicious of course. However, the staff was outstanding and amazing. They catered to us and were so helpful and sweet. Thank you for everything. We had a wonderful time that we will cherish forever.
Great wonderful place and love the atmosphere. It was a little bit of a wait but well worth the wait. I had the enchiladas 09 and the sangria with a piña colada. I took my husband for a date night.
I went there on 12/24 at around 1:30 PM alone. After being seated, a plate of chips is served with two kind of sauce. I ordered a mix fajitas, which is my favorite Mexican dish. I substitute the salad for the rice and fried beans. People can also choose steam vegetables. Besides, the waiter gave me 4 tortillas (2 flour, 2 corn).
The mix fajitas tastes really good. It is not as oils as the ones I always have. The only thing that is different from my expectation is that the mix means beef and chicken. Usually, when I ordered a mix fajitas, it comes with all the meat (usually, beef, chicken and shrimp) on the menu. The corn tortillas is soft and the flour tortillas is chewy. I loved the tortillas a lot.
For me, when I see the menu, I feel like this restaurant is a little bit luxury. After considering the atmosphere and the quality of food, it really worth the price.
Such a beautiful place with absolutely delicious food! I had Pollo Asado and it was divine! Best Mexican food I ever had. We sat outside, and we had a few pleasant visits by the little sparrows. The staff were friendly and super helpful. They brought us nachos with salsa and refilled the nachos once we finished them. We asked for more napkins and they brought us plenty!
Great traditional Mexican food. Someone recommended we go, and we were not disappointed. Great upscale atmosphere. Drinks were amazing, and we made it in time for happy hour. The staff were friendly and helpful. You will want to visit several times to try all the different dishes.
To me the best way to judge a Mexican restaurant is by their guacamole and their fajitas. If they can’t make those right and taste well to me, it’s definitely shows their level of competency in their cuisine of choice. My guacamole was done tableside and tasted fabulous, the chips that they brought I think were a little bit overdone, but my fajitas were phenomenal. I definitely had to take to go back home so I’ll get to eat more tomorrow.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars was at the beginning of my evening here there was an issue about my service animal. We were able to talk it out and make it work. I really appreciate the senior manager on site who even came out to me in the parking lot as I was leaving to tell me that he had looked at the ADA website, but was also reaching out to their legal department to find out what the legal requirements are for customers with service animals. That impressed me quite a lot.
The food was delicious! The guacamole was fresh and authentic. We shared a Botana Chica and it was very good! We also ordered an individual dinner plate and everything was on point! The place could use some Mexican music to liven up the atmosphere and the hostess could have a more welcoming attitude. But my compliments to the cooks…amazing flavors!!
From the moment we arrived, we were promptly seated, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant and casual. I ordered the Mango Chamorita which is a frozen Margarita. Alrhough, I prefer my drinks on the rocks, I tried it and it was still pleasant.
One highlight of our meal was the Guacamole Olmeca, which was prepared right at our table. It was absolutely excellent, and what made it even better was the fact that the waitress kindly made it with less pepper to suit my preference for milder flavors. Her friendly, accommodating, and attentive service really stood out.
For my main course, I ordered the Mole Enchiladas, and I must say, they were outstanding. The combination of sweet and savory flavors was absolutely delightful, and I enjoyed EVERY bite. My husband ordered the Carne Asada Tampiquena, and he was equally impressed. The meat was tender and cooked exactly as he had requested.
They offer a variety of enticing options, and I'm already looking forward to trying out other dishes on our next visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and would highly recommend Paloma Blanca to anyone who appreciates excellent Mexican cuisine.
Celebrating cousin's Birthday, food was excellent and wait wasn't too long. Our server was very attentive. Overall a good dining experience.
I’ll say everything was pretty good. Great costumer service and a beautiful place. The reason why I didn’t give it 5 starts is because the drinks. I got a Paloma and I used to work as a bartender and what I received wants a Paloma. Everything else was great.
If you go at lunch hour, parking is really difficult. But once you are in, it's worth the parking struggle. I ordered Chicken Enchalada Mole. I was extremely good. Very impressed with the mole. A hint of cocoa, not bitter like some places. The enchilada very good. Came with rice and beans. Excellent. My drink was a Mango Chamoyrita...OMG The best!!! Highly recommended this place.
Excelente! Definitely a decent Mexican Cuisine restaurant that we plan to come back to. The food is delicious and the Margaritas are strong! 🍸. The atmosphere is cozy and will sit outside once the weather cools down because the patio is beautiful!
Great service staff was awesome. Great place 2 have a buffet 4 a wedding. My son, his new bride, enjoyed themselves and family and friends.
Chef’s kiss 🤌🏽
Luis was a phenomenal server and the food was absolutely delicious.
We stopped in on a slower afternoon after a day at zoo. They provided us a regular menu and a Lent menu. The seating inside was cozy and inviting. It felt like an art studio with open spaces, original art, and signature cocktails. The food is the focal point here with textures, flavors, and proportions. Your money is definitely well spent. The drinks aren’t watered down, the service is top tier, and the food is no less than stellar. Whether you sit inside or outside, the ambience is unmatched.
Thank you Luis and the rest of the staff at Paloma Blanca for making our first visit one to remember.
The environment of the restaurant is very good. There is a bar inside. You can take drinks from there and wait in the waiting area to be seated. Outside looked really nice but it was very hot so we sat inside. They gave us salsa and chips. There gave us different salsa bowl for each person which was nice. They also provided gluten-free chips as one of my friend was allergic to it. The taste of the salsa was okay. We ordered ceviche and I have never tried it before anywhere. It was good but I can not compare it to other’s obviously!
We also ordered guacamole from the appetizers it was very good. They made it infront of us. For main course I took enchilada divorceda(forgot the spelling). It was okay. I have had better enchiladas to be honest. My husband took chicken fajita plate. That was alright too. I’m not sure if I’m going back again.
Changed from a 4 to a 5 after 2 take out experiences. These guys know how to do take out! Just park and someone brings your food. The sheer amount of sides we received with our fajita order was outstanding! We got the 1 lb mixed fajita twice. With it, they give you a big bag of chips, a huge side of guac, beans, rice, and 2 salsas. More than enough food!
Paloma Blanca in Alamo Heights - San Antonio should be on your list of Mexican restaurants to visit in the city. The food alone is worth it - made with quality ingredients, the dishes we tried were filling without leaving us feeling too heavy or weighted down as can happen when one goes out for Mexican food. Could be that the dishes focused on fresh ingredients and complimentary sauces (as opposed to other restaurants that drown the food in melted cheese). We had the vegetable chile relleleno and chicken enchiladas with green sauce (recommended by our server). Both were delicious! Another highlight included the two types of sauces served with the chips when we were seated - one having a bit of a smoky flavor while the other was perfectly refreshing. And for drinks, the original margarita on the rocks hit the spot! The interior is warm and inviting with plush leather sofas in the entry next to the cantina (aka bar) while there is also covered outdoor seating that often fills up. Already know what I want to try next time - the guacamole that nearly every other table ordered… it looked incredible!
10/10 would recommend this place. Everything was delicious. Ruth was very nice and made sure we were taken care of.
