Went there to get a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich today and i I was there a little early for lunch and was told that the bread had not come in yet and that the sandwich would be made with the bread from the day before. It is, hands down, the best in San Antonio even being made with bread from the previous day. Several weeks ago went to another eatery on the recommendation that it was so good....didn't even compare to Gino's. While eating, the fresh bread did come in and the owner insisted i have some, which i did, that he put some butter on....the best ever. Definitely a 5+, not only on the Philly Cheese Steak, but everything,
Love this place to pieces. The food is fabulous. The cheesesteaks , burgers, tacos... on point. The owners and staff are ridiculously nice.

Today was my babies Cake day and all he wanted was a cheeseburger from the gas station restaurant! When we got there they where out of hamburger but the owner went out and bought hamburger meat for my baby to have the best Cake day Celebration at Gino’s Customer service above and beyond!!�������

Always the best of the best food and service! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but my favorite is the Turk-Roni.. it’s amazing! Husband got me hooked on it 10 years ago and haven’t changed. My family loves the Phillys and also the Rabbi. I’ve also heard the burgers are phenomenal!

My family was greeted immediately upon entering this restaurant, which is rare at most restaurants now. The sandwiches at this place are delicious �. Great, friendly customer service. Will definitely visit this place more often.

I loved it! The Philly cheesesteak hit the spot. Drove by this place several times and I finally stopped and I do not regret it can’t wait to go back and try the rest of their food.
First time there. Great & friendly service. They make you feel like you are friends or family. Wouldn’t let us pay until we were finished & only if you liked the food. Sandwiches were excellent. No one can not say they aren’t. Fresh, great flavor & not that thick bread Howie roll. Thin & fresh. We will definitely go back for sure. Just wish they were open until 9:00 pm. Will have to try their breakfast tacos also.

Total not what we expected! What a great little hole in the wall with the convience store! Love the food and the people. Every was very nice. I am a manger of a hotel close by and will be recommending this great place to all my guest! We even ordered a philly cheese steak for my husband's lunch. We will be back!
Wife bought me a Philly cheese steak... probably the best Philly I've ever had here in San Antonio. My only gripe is the price. The sandwich ALONE costs $13.49. Add chips and soda, , and you're looking at a $20 deal. Imagine getting this for a family. You could eat more at ihop,, for less.
With this being said, I recommend everyone who's a fan of phillys, to try this place at least once.

Burger was juicy and finger licking good. Great balance of condiments and burger.
Italian sub was amazing as well- competitive to getting a sun at a deli in New York City!
Lots of parking for a Tuesday dinner and friendly and wonderful staff.
Only thing is I wished there were high chairs for infants and seating with backs for older family.
Highly recommend and will definitely return when in San Antonio again!!!
The service at this place is amazing. The atmosphere is fun. This place is inside a convenience store, so it is relaxing. I ordered the double meat hamburger with cheese, and it was delicious. The meat was overflowing over the buns, and we received free chips and a drink!! My wife ordered the turkey sandwich and said it was enough for 2 meals. Great food at a good price point
This is legit one of the best spots in SA. Sandwiches were amazing; full of flavor and tasty. Service was beyond friendly and helpful. Jake helped us order and provided some recommendations. We ordered the smoke stack and dirty Derrick and they were both wonderful. Atmosphere was excellent. We will be coming back within the week to try other menu items. I will be telling all my buddies about this place.
I really do love this place the food is amazing and fast it feels like the perfect place to stop by and get food and just feel at home with everything. Even after not being here for a while the guy Still rember my family and I and was super friendly with us It just feels so nice. The cooks were fast and friendly ready to take our order. Best Philly cheese steaks I ever had.
Went here with my girlfriend for the first time and the sandwiches were great! We had the philly cheese steak and smoke stack sandwiches and we'd definitely recommend both. They also offered us free chips and drinks since we were first timers. We are definitely coming back to try some more! Absolutely amazing food. Best burger in town! My husband enjoyed the black bean sandwich as he's vegetarian! It was a HUGE sandwich! Thanks for making great food! I highly recommend!! A+++++
Gino's has been on my bucket list for about 1 year now, finally stopped by and It did not disappoint! Picked up a steak and a smoke stack and wow. Great service , great food definitely will be back!

(2 weeks later) Well, maybe the Italian is my new favorite. 🙂 Update December: I tried the Smokestack. The bacon was excellent. I don't think it's in my top 3, though.
UPDATE 2021: I haven't been on this side of town much for the past year and was very happy to be able to come here--and even eat in! The sandwiches were excellent, as always, and the staff is (still) very friendly and helpful.
UPDATE: Rabbi Scott is my new favorite sandwich! The first time I had it, I fully intended to take half of it home for later--but I couldn't stop. And now here I am having it again, three days later. :)

They're serious about not paying unless you're satisfied! I was very surprised that we didn't pay until we left. My husband, a picky eater, was delighted that he could get his sandwich the way he wanted it--just meat and cheese. I got the Italian with everything. It wasn't the best sandwich I'd ever had, but it was very good. I'm looking forward to trying a different sandwich the next time we go there. The only thing I didn't like was that the fountain drinks were Pepsi instead of Coke. (The iced tea was very good and fresh.)
Ordering was easy with large video screens showing options. Quick prep and delivery of food after ordering. The cheesesteak was delicious and enough to make almost two meals out of it.
Everyone working was very friendly and welcoming.
Will visit again and bring family.
Finally made my way in after driving past this place everyday and so happy I did! Service was great and folks there were incredibly friendly for my first visit. I got a Philly cheesesteak and an Italian sub and man were both good. I’ve missed a good Italian sub place after moving from chicago and this place is definitely it for me. Thank you Gino’s! This place is an unassuming former gas station but the service is always great. The people taking the order, payment and people making the sandwiches all seem to be on their A game and always very friendly. Then the sandwiches are even better! High quality bread, steak, veggies! Been here many times! Always bring family and friends when they come to visit. This place never disappoints! The owner is very friendly and the staff is wonderful.
The is a great place for sandwiches and burgers. It is a deli and a small convenience store. I was gonna take it to go but they had tables to dine in. The person at the deli area will take your order and nice. They got soda fountains and chips on the store side. You pay at the register along with what you get from the store. I got the Rabbi Scott style, it was awesome just the way it came got off the grill and the bread wasn’t too hard. Got a cheeseburger too. Got it just cheese and ketchup for my kid but he said it was good. I will be going back to try something else. But the Rabbi Scott style is good to try out just the way it is.
Staff always go above and beyond while being friendly. Service is always fantastic and fast, even when they are slammed. Food is consistently spectacular. Highly recommend.

Very accommodating. The atmosphere is pretty cool, went during lunch so bit busy but still plenty of seating and owner was still very attentive to each customer. Food was great!! Very well seasoned and great portion.
