Our pork Ribs and brisket are a bit dry and the BBQ sauce doesn't taste like one, too watery and sour. But the sides are amazing. I liked all of the sides I ordered : macaroni, beans and street corn. But...again we went there for the meat not the sides. I hope the management of the restaurant to provide shelter like a roof/patio in front of the building for the customer, so we don't have to suffer that bad while waiting in line to get inside especially during summer.

Absolutely delicious!! The sauce they provide is perfect with the sandwiches as well as the pickles. The food is so filling and the flavors of the side dishes are amazing on its own! Pictured: chopped brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, chicharron Mac n cheese, Mexican street corn, and individual pork ribs.

OMG, I read a local article about this being the best barbecue in San Antonio and I have to agree. What’s really nice about this place is you can get the meat in quarter pound so that way if you want to try something you don’t have to buy a half pound, or a pound of everything. Same way with the size you can get from a small container to the large container. I ordered all for the macaroni, corn, the beans, and the coleslaw, and they were all off the charts! They also individually wrapped the bread and the sides in oil so stuff doesn’t spill all over the place. Just shows how much the care about their customers. I have also never had a barbecue sauce like this. It’s almost a soy honey but man is it good.

2M really brought out the big guns today for my first ever visit on this hot hot summer day. Most of the seating is outdoors with picnic tables and parasols, but it’s hard to beat the heat without significant shade cover and misters. That said, I’ve been wanting to come to this James Beard nominated bbq joint for a long time! Everything on the tray was fantastic, and surprisingly, not as greasy as other bbq joints can be. My friends told me that 2M bbq is particularly outstanding because they don’t get bbq burps after the meal. Sure enough, even after drinking soda water, I didn’t get bbq burps either. A very interesting phenomenon. I’m going to guess that it’s because they have a very clean smoke (no acridity) and possibly less grease and pepper. Also, I’ve become a casual fan of pineapple cream soda now. Can’t wait to dig into all these leftovers.

They ran out of buns for the chopped brisket sandwich, but food was great! The Mexican street corn was some of the best I've ever had and the macaroni chicharoni was delish 😋

Ok this is a tough review and I have mixed feelings about it. So I have been to plenty of bbq restaurants in Texas and outside Texans and I love bbq with a passion. One thing I appreciate when I go to a BBQ place is that they are offering something different than the rest bbq places to stand out. This place does it in their own way. I really feel like they throw in a south Texas style bbq with a little different flair. So the bbq is really good and great. Brisket was super moist even the lean part and is a meat get. Ribs were good as well but really didn't stand out in my opinion. The sausage is where things get interesting especially the pork sausage that had cheese filling in it. I don't remember what cheese but it was a peer jack or similar and it was amazing. I would suggest that over the beef sausage which I was disappointed in. The bbq sauce is also different and I was not a fan of. It kinda reminded me of soy sauce bbq but not sure what. They were doing a special orange pork belly and that was different but very good and the pork belly was great just different with that sauce. The sides they do is what sets them apart. The Mac n cheese has a twist and I dig it. Also they have purple coleslaw that goes great with the bbq and I don't usually get coleslaw. This place I've been told is the best bbq in San Antonio and I cannot confirm it, but it is really up there for sure. I can see why people would say it is the best in San Antonio. Go check them out and find out for yourself if it is.

Ok this is some serious BBQ! I’m not sure how they do it but they seam to pack so much amazing flavor into their bbq! I’m not just talking about the brisket and how it falls apart with a plastic fork so good, I’m talking about everything! Brisket WOAH! Sausage WOW! Mac n cheese OMG! Typically it’s either the protein is great and the sides are lame but not here, no way Jose it’s ALL GOOD!!! I would recommend getting there early as we showed up at 11am when they opened and had to wait(BAKE) in the hot sun for a while! My two negative thoughts about this place would be the line to get in and not that fact that you have to wait i don’t mind waiting if it’s good but I don’t like baking in the sun while waiting. Second is I’m not sure why they only have one guy slicing and one guy taking orders?! Double it up and get that line moving!

Let me start off by saying that this place does not disappoint in anyway shape or form. I have heard lots and lots about it before I came so there was definitely high expectations and let me tell you that only the staff and everyone deliver but so did the food it was fantastic, the brisket was amazing but I have to say the turkey was fantastic also. So make sure you don’t skip over that part of the meal. The mac & cheese was awesome. Elotes was very very good. I’m not sure that I can say enough great stuff about 2 M smokehouse. They really do it the right way. It’s fantastic. You just Gotta go and try it for yourself. Please remember they are a till sell out restaurant. So make sure you get there early so you won’t be disappointed. Also, I forgot to mention their pork ribs are awesome. Thank you so much for a great meal and everything that we got to enjoy.

Excellent food, we enjoyed how each item had its own herbs and seasoning though out. Some of the most moist and tender BBQ I have found. Excellent smoke and tender enough to fall apart and gnaw the bones! Items sold and weighted butcher style, no frills dining area but this only adds to the focus on the food. Will be back and make sure to come early, once they are out for the day, that's it!

The brisket and pork ribs were amazing. The ribs had a sweet, crisp and crunchy skin to them. The corn side and pickled serranos were great too.

AMAZING BBQ!!! Yes I ate everything you see in the pictures. I live bbq (not just any bbq, but TEXAS BBQ.) I have not had BBQ in Texas in 7 long years. Wow just wow! The ribs were amazing, would not have had them any other way. The sausage was so good!!! Brisket sandwich. It almost tasted like there was cheese in my sandwich but there wasn’t, the fat blended with the brisket was something magnificent tasting. The smoke flavor was on point! The sides were great. The mac n cheese was great. I really liked the beans as well. One of the best bbq around! I highly recommend this place. My only complaint if you call it a complaint, the line moved really slow. Just a suggestion and try to move that line a bit faster.

Bbq was alright. Wish they had AC inside their building. Staff didn’t really interact with customers. The sides were really good. We rated the brisket 8/10. Bbq sauce was really good.

The barbq sauce it's different in a tasty nice way, the pickles are seasoned nicely. I tried the brisket, was tender and juicy. The pulled pork was tasty but a little bit mushi. I dislike the sausage it has a lot of cumin. I was elated by the mexican street corn, incredibly well done and flavorful. Definitely comeback!!

Stopped by on a cool day with my better half for lunch the Sunday before thanksgiving. She had heard of them and wanted to try their BBQ while we were in the area. On the staff, everyone we interacted with was top notch. We wanted to try as many things as reasonable on the menu and we were not disappointed in anything. The pork spare ribs were outstanding. At first I was a little concerned because I’ve always peeled the membrane off my ribs, but the flavor was on point and the membrane didn’t hinder anything. Both types of sausage were also very good. The brisket was moist, tender and down right tasty. The sides were also phenomenal. I wouldn’t hesitate to stop back by next time we’re in the area.

This is our favorite bbq place in Texas! We've stood in line twice for hours at that place in Austin (which is also great), But once we tried 2M, it easily became our preferred spot. The cultural flavors on the menu are done perfectly (chicharon Mac & cheese, street corn, and Oaxaca Sausage are the best). The wait in line varies but it's worth it. We've gone on Fridays and one Saturday but the wait in line was between 15-45 mins. Can't recommend enough!

First time visiting place. Show them on a BBQ show debuting places in Texas. They also dragged about their desserts on the show. We had the Sandwiches(4) both sliced brisket and chopped sandwich at $16.00 each.Sandwiches not bad also. We also tried mac and cheese w/ pig skins on top not bad and the street corn not bad. A little pricey. Today at 1pm no desserts at all, she didnt say they ran out ,she just said they normally have them in the display case. Limited.seatimg inside in the air conditioning. Seating in a screened area and outdoor seating. Temp 101 today. They do have.some fans blowing outside to help but barely.

So glad we stopped in and tried it!! This was the most unique bbq we've had and I'm here for it! BBQ:. Brisket had the perfect crust, not overly salty and incredibly tender. Turkey was juicy and smoked to perfection (highly recommend the turkey!!) and the pork sausage had Oaxaca cheese with serrano peppers in it...and was so delicious!! Not too spicy at all. I also got the chopped brisket sandwich with homemade buns -- would recommend everything we got! The Sauce: bbq sauce was unlike anything we've ever had before. It tasted strongly of honey and spice. It was quite viscous and I wouldn't describe it as overly sweet or spicy. I really liked it bc I've never had anything like it. My boyfriend did wish for a normal sauce and this one to choose from. Sides: The chicharrones Mac and cheese was absolutely delicious!! The beans were perfectly cooked and not sweet in flavor. We wanted to try the picked bell peppers but they had sold out by the time we got there! The plate came with thier own onions and made in house pickes! (Which had the perfect amount of spice) Dessert: we went for the pineapple and tamarind mini pie- so glad I did!! Great flavor, not overly sweet, graham cracker crust and airy whipped cream. Drinks: no alcohol is served here, they serve Stubborn soda drinks and tea.

To celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, we had a gathering of about 30 people. For the special occasion, I wanted to serve BBQ and 2M smokehouse seemed like the "best"... they did not disappoint! I got brisket and turkey plus some of all the sides. The guests absolutely LOVED it. The guests were talking about everything... the brisket, the turkey, the coleslaw, the macaroni, the MEXICAN STREET CORN... ALL OF IT. The food was great and I'm sure everyone at the party will be visiting 2M smokehouse for more of the great food!
