A very nice find across from Cornerstone Church. Beautiful and clean inside. The wood oven adds the perfect touch to the experience. This is perfect for lunch or a light dinner for two.
Had the special which was cannelloni with spinach and chicken. Came with a side salad, bread and a drink. It was very good and it was stuffed with quite a bit of chicken and spinach. The only recommendation is it could use a little more sauce. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Enjoyed Lunch. I stopped in here for a quick lunch. They offer counter service, and all the food looked fresh and delicious. I had the avocado salad and sandwich. Both were great and the service friendly.
While there, I noticed that most of the people coming in were regulars, so this place has a lot of return customers. I will likely be one of them!
Yum!!! started with the calamari and zucchini - AWESOME! the breaking - like a tempura - was so light and crisp and stuck! the zucchini was perfectly fried, and the calamari was very tender. we enjoyed the spinach salad, FULL of blue cheese, walnuts and bacon. and the tortellini was SO creamy and SO delicious. hubby and I split salad and entree and it was brought already split to our table! love that! very attentive service too. and despite splitting, we still left with a to go box! I'd go back just for the zucchini!
Great Italian comfort food. I write as a consumer and nothing more. I am associated with the parent group of this establishment but went in to try a different concept, "The neighborhood pizzeria". The decor is warm and inviting and the menu revealed many favorites. A meal with just my stepson has become a "boys day" tradition that my girlfriend really enjoys and so do we. We started off with a caprese, my favorite appetizer. The presentation is flawless and the flavor continued. It's hard to steer my stepson away from anything other than Fettucine Alfredo with chicken. He will taste all dishes but a full meal will almost always be fettucine. I opted for one of my warm Italian favorites, Rigatoni Campagnole. Sausage, peppers, onions, and a touch of bolognese sauce capture all of my favorite flavors. To conclude a gelato spumoni for us to share and an espresso for me and we both left very happy. Great price point, location, service, and execution.
Heavenly Italian Gourmet Food. This is my third time here & I just HAD to tell everybody what a wonderful dining experience it is.Their Italian salads,sandwiches,pizza,canneloni/cakes,etc., are beautifully presented in showcases as you enter the restaurant. It's a visual feast. The aroma of fresh baked bread fills the air. There's no place better in San Antonio when it comes to freshly baked gourmet pizzas. We listened to Italian Tv & feasted on avocado & spinich salad,mushroom/prosciuto pizza, calzones. The cozy tables are covered with red checked tablecloths,& the atmosphere is family & Italy! .Bright, clean, friendly restaurant with generous portions of everything!.
After 4 p.m. visit with group. The restaurant changes to table service after 4 p.m. A little pricey. Smaller than expected lasagna a la carte for $10 was tasty but less than expected. Chocolate covered cannoli was crispy and tasty although prepared in the morning. Pepperoni pizza with nice, just crispy enough crust, was good. Spinach Salad $6 on salad sized plate. Fresh baby spinach with red onion, blue cheese, walnuts, bacon, balsamic vinagrette was tasty. Lots of filler items so for lighter choice ask for toppings and dressing on the side. Italian Wedding Soup was $5.00 for bowl of soup. Nicely seasoned. Service was good. Will try for lunch another time.
Delicious food. It reminded me of one of my favorite pizza places where I grew up in PR. Service was beyond exceptional. Will definitely go back and I will recommended 100%
We ordered fried ravioli (too spicy for me but my family loved it) sorry forgot to take a pic
Then we ordered a half supreme half cheese pizza! Such perfect taste and crust
Lastly we got some desserts to share: a New York style cheesecake and a 3 layered chocolate cake.
Hope this review helps out a bit I’ll post more when I visit again ❤️☺️
We were really glad we found this place, another dice throwing find. We were in that area for a movie, “Aladdin”, great movie btw. And I felt like Italian food, so I just googled Italian restaurant near me, chose this one as it’s the closet to where we were.
We were very impressed with the quality of the food we ordered. We ordered meatball slider, pizza, and Pasta Luciano. The pizza came out steaming hot, and the taste can easily top any pizza restaurant I’ve been to in the last three years. The meatball sliders were light and the homemade marinara tasty. The pasta Luciano was a healthy portion of fresh vegetables, pasta, and four large shrimp. All was freshly prepared and served steaming hot. Overall a very enjoyable meal. We will certainly go back to explore more on the menu.
Very good service! And food was DELICIOUS 😋
I'm very picky with lasagna but this was was the BEST I've ever had! Pizza was very good too! Follow me on Instagram for more foodie pics @ foodie_theclaw956
Love this pizza it's always delicious. I was very excited to find the spinach, mushrooms and cheese pizza at this location. Don't get me wrong I love a meat lovers. But their spinach, mushrooms and cheese is amazing.
It is served with some wonderful garlicy marinara sauce to die for.
Two layers of cheese goodness. I'm sorry I didn't get to take a picture of the spinach pizza it was that good that it disappears in seconds.
All their pizza is wonderful
Visited for lunch at 12 noon. Ordered the fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken and a side of cheesy garlic bread. Tasty! Service was pretty good considering there was only three occupied tables and one waitress working. Be aware the prices on the current menu are several dollars higher than what others have previously posted.
Warm atmosphere, wonderful wait-staff. The food is so delicious, you can tell they care and use fresh ingredients. My family and I will definitely be back.
I always have this at the north star mall and when I discovered they had a location here I just had to have it. I love Italian food and this place dishes out some really good food. The food comes out delicious and fast. The staff was very friendly. Overall a phenomenal experience.
First off it’s now Po Po Ristorante and it is good. Prices are good and I really can’t complain about anything. Staff recognized us even though it was our second time in there.
Love this place, First time here. If the food is good I don't mind the price. it was well worth it. I love the pizza. Not soggy att all. I love the concept that the sauce is on the side. And the tiramisu cake is of the charts. Thank you guys.
Why eat here? Because it's Italian...no REALLY!...Or REAL... authentic ...delicious ... wow...it's hidden in a simple shopping center...well till you walk in..then your in Italy...but with AC...had the spaghetti...the pasta was tender and wrapped itself beautifully in that pomodoro sauce..my fav..the bread alone would have been fine...lol but it wasn't lol..the small salad was gigantic...wondered what the large looked like...fresh ingredients...classic feel...and if you have room for the Cannoli have them...if you don't have room... take them to go! I had to ask if the name was the same people that opened at Northstar Mall .. This family has been serving SA fantastic Italian food since I worked at Northstar Mall... kudos to the family recipes and the good old fashioned Italian cuisine...oh and the pizza is great as well!
