All four of us had the chicken tender dinner.5 large tenders and 2 sides! Excellent choice! The restaurant was very clean as was the restroom. The waitstaff was very attentive and the manager was walking around making sure every one was happy with their meal. The prices are very affordable and we all left with a doggie bag. Great stop!!
I have always said you get what you pay for at restaurants. Cheddars often is an exception to that adage.
The prices throughout the food and drink menus are kept low but deliver in flavor and quantity.
My steak and shrimp plate with 2 sides was only $14 and definitely worth the price. Their plentiful chicken tender plate is only $10 and gives you enough for two meals. Frozen top shelf margarita was $7.50 and huge! It was not overly sweet and went down smooth.
The service is normally attentive and friendly despite the constant hustle and bustle.
I am a fan of Cheddar's and will return often.
The food was good, I had the chicken strips and fries with a cherry coke. Wait staff was very nice and attentive. It was clean and I liked the environment. I would go back.

Wait All Day. Swung by for a quick bite after a hospital visit. Quick bite turned into all nite. We were seated right away, but waited an hour for our food. Finally, we had to ask for it to go and waited some more.
Reminds me of my Younger Days. Came in here the other day with a group and they all, to the person, recommended the Pot Roast. Wow....I have not had pot roast this good since Sunday afternoon dinners as a kid growing up! Tender, flavorful roast, steamed vegetables cooked in the the juices of the meat, and a man size portion of mashed potatoes! A darn good meal value.
SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!! But I love the food, which is the only reason I go back. Wait to be seated is always long, even during their slow hrs. when there isn't a huge crowd. Food on the otherhand is well priced & delicious. The family & I always order the Texas Cheese Fries, as an appetizer, which we love. & My current favorite item from the menu is the World Class Chicken, with the broccoli cheese casserole as my side...DELICIOUS!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE, I just wish they had better service & enough employees...then it would be perfect.
Food good, service not good. I have enjoyed the items I've ordered here. Have been at least 5-6 times. Everything has a good flavor. Prices are in keeping with other restaurants for similar items. Large portion sizes are normally served, and asking for a "doggie bag" is a norm for me at this place.
The place is always crowded, they don't take reservations, so if you want to sit down when you arrive, you need to arrive at non-peak times. I've seen this place packed late into the evening. We normally eat here at lunch, and have to arrive at 11:30am to get a table.
This is definately not fast food. There is no urgency in getting service, taking/filling orders, refilling drinks, or receiving the food. Because of the lack of service, this is not my first choice of restaurants.
This place is Great! Especially if you're frugal.... The food is VERY good and VERY affordable. However, expect at least a 30 minute wait to be seated. Seems like a lot of folks these days are looking for ways to save and still enjoy a great meal.

Love the food and drinks. The wait sometimes is the only complaint. I love the menu, from the croissants to the onion rings. I love the huge shavings of parmesan in the cesar salad as well. I also like the prices. You can drink ALOT and eat some good food for cheap. Some of my favorite entrees are the soup n sandwich combo, with the potato soup, the chicken strips, the monte cristo sandwich but my fave is the shepards pie, I just ask them to add cheese. As for the drinks, they seem to vary from whats offered in the plugerville and corpus locations but I love the margaritas on the rocks, the sangria margarita and the texas painkiller
Great choice!. We dropped by after a night at the movies. The waiting line was as expected,long. The service was good, the food was delicious, and the price was the best. Excellent job all the way around.
Great food at outrageously low prices! As new transplants to San Antonio, we finally went there today and it's our new favorite place.

Good food and great prices!!. Only been there once, but the philly cheesesteak and napa chicken ciabatta were excellent! YUM...we went at lunch time, service wasn't so good at that time. Will definitely go back though!
Great food and atmosphere. Tried the chicken pot pie and tea, both were tasty - but I wouldn't get the pot pie again. Sat at the bar and was pleased with the speed and friendliness of the service. I will be back.
LOVE love this place this is my favorite restaurant. Brocoli casserole is delicious all the food is great, crosounts r sooo good. Prices r excellent. No complaints here except the wait is usually about an hour wait. Try a painkiller drink, it is tasty.
Mixed up. So based off of someone's suggestion, this place was made out to be like Dave & Busters...lol. Not so much when we pull up and notice granny and her O2 tank. Besides that, sat at the bar and watched Preseason NFL. Drinks & food tasted/priced okay.
Spinach dip is awesome, ribs fall off the bone, chicken tender portions are huge, broccoli casserole was great, kids loved the strawberry lemonade...family of four with appetizer, full rack ribs, key lime chicken and shrimp, 2 orders of chicken tenders, four beverages...$35 Will definately go back!

College- Budget friendly. Being a college student and living just down the street from Cheddars, this place is good for the food as well as the price. It's fairly cheap, but the food and drinks are really good. Drinks are cheap too!

Great!. I love, love, love this place. If you are on a budget and still want amazing food, go to Cheddars! My boyfriend and I went there recently and got an appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 soft drinks, a margarita, and dessert all for under $30. All the portions were huge! I have never seen a restaurant bring out so much food. The service is slow, but we weren't in a rush. I know that a lot of the servers aren't able to handle the crowds, so they're constantly hiring new ones. I think quality food, polite customer service, and good prices outweighs slow service any day.
The environment was joyful and fun. The food was This was the most fun that I had in a long time. The food & drinks were delicious and well proportioned. You have to try their margaritas.

LOVE IT!!! Everything. You walk in and the host are so nice and helpful. They play with my children. Ask for Jeanice. Very helpful. Our server Victoria ran for everyone of our needs and we were a party that had 4 kids and two adults. So you can understand. I asked to see a manager and Steve came out. He was very knowledgable and treated us like we were is family. Tell us we were part of the family here and always say hello he would love to see us again. You got to go the place is GREAT!!!
Cheddars is always so delicious & fresh. Honey butter croissants served right after we ordered, simply the best. Spinach artichoke dip comes with salsa & tortilla chips. So flavorful. Ordered limited time Herb Roasted Chicken, so perfectly seasoned, tender & juicy. Salmon is one of our go-to dishes, so fresh, delicious & well seasoned. Ribs tasty so good, fall off the bone & cooked with bbq sauce. Waitress could have been more accommodating, disappeared after the food came & kept running out of drinks.
Amazing!! Rhe service was Amazing!! Grey our waiter was friendly, cheerful anticipated our needs. Had a table of 5 and everything came timely, He kept our drinks topped off and was very attentive. The food like always was delicious, fresh and hot and who can go without having the most flaky buttery Crissants. If you go visit ask to be seated in Grey's area. An amazing young man.
Went for my birthday. Food was excellent and restaurant was lovely. Prices were very good. Server was lackluster, even after we shared we were celebrating my big day. Oh well. Company was great and so was the day.
We went for an early dinner on a Saturday and there was no wait to be seated. The server was very kind and provided very swift service. They gave us complimentary croissants that were delicious! The food was great and so were the drinks.

It was ten of us Senior friends that have lunch together once a month and one of the ladies suggested Cheddar's. The crescent rolls they give after you are seated were delicious. Our waitress was Angelic B and she was SO Patient and very nice. Serving 10 SENIORS is NO JOKE she deserves a raise.!!! The food was delicious and we had a ball. The prices are very reasonable and portions are very good.
The only thing was a disappointment was their margarita machine was not working.

Love the croissants! Waiter, Gray, was exceptional. It's a great variety of reasonably priced food. Don't order the ribeye. 2nd Cheddar's we've tried & meat was tough. Good spinach dip, salads, white fish, chicken tenders. Cajun pasta was ok. I wouldn't call the food home cooking. I would pick Cracker Barrel over Cheddars.
Everything was on point. No complaints, except the mixed drink PAINKILLER, needs serious reformulation..it's too too sweet and has a weird unnatural, chemically aftertaste that does not allow for enjoyment.. other than that everything was great and well made. Barbeque burger was AMAZING. They definitely have the best red beans and rice side I have ever had!!! Yuuuuumy!!
The food here is okay. I recommend sticking to one of their more popular dishes. The wait staffcan usually help with this decision. The service was good but it seemed a little hurried. I am sure they are less busy with a smaller crowd. The portions were average size. The location seems used, but well taken care of. Ultimately I would recommend this establishment. There are better places out there though.
Off to a good start being greeted with some yummy, honey butter croissants. I ordered the Key West Chicken and Shrimp with steamed broccoli and a baked potato. The chicken was very tender and delicious, and the sides were good, too. However, my husband ordered the Smokehouse Burger and Yikes. It was way undercooked, and we had to send it back.
Our server, Rachel A, was terrific. The food was hot and very well seasoned. I had a grilled chicken breast salad with candied pecans. Hubby had steak, ribs, a loaded baked potato, and a side salad. Don't miss out on their freshly made buttery sweet honey croissant. As for the atmosphere it really good just a tad bit loud. Other than that 5 stars 🌟 all around.
So we were those people that walked in with less than 30 minutes to close. Nobody gave us the stink eye or tried to rush us out the door. The food was spectacular. It had been a day. But it was a meal that made you forget that. I have now come to know that Monte Cristo is one of the most underrated comfort foods out there. This thing is sleeper. And I mean that in the sense that it's not as available as an ideal world would have it but also... you're gonna need a nap.
The buttery rolls are delicious. I could make a meal out of them. I love the vegetable plate! The painkiller drink is great, too, if you are looking for a good drink from the bar.
My daughter and I went here for dinner. It was a Friday payday so the place was packed. We waited for about half an hour and when we got seated, our waiter (didn’t get his name) asked for our order right away. After that, we went to the restroom to wash our hands but our seats were gone when we got back. Went to the front desk and we were accommodated well (loved our new table). Our new waiter, Eric did a good job. I have to give it too on our previous waiter because he searched for us to give us our appetizers. Food was great with big servings. The place was family friendly. Will definitely come back!

Came in for a late lunch. Place was busy, considering it was a Saturday. Thirty minutes later we got seated. Our waitress was also the bartender so our drink order took a minute to be taken. After that everthing else flowed nicely. Food came out quick and was great. Overall good experience and would recommend.
