Passed this place a ton of times but never made it in. Today they had their sign and Paella was back. I’m so upset that I’ve been missing out on this place for so long. It’s build your own paella. From walking into the front entrance to the chef and server, service was fantastic. Nothing fake, nothing forced, just pure good hospitality. I work down the street and this place was open for lunch and the prices are more than reasonable. Portion size was great and the flavor was so delicious. Definitely will be coming back with friends and family. The atmosphere is very light, great music, the decor and space to eat is wonderful as well. I did sit indoor but if you’d like some fresh air, there is outdoor seating available. I had chicken shrimp sausage paella and all the flavors were there. The rice was cooked correctly and everything mixed very well. The chef was friendly, informative, and quick with the order. Overall 10/10 in my books
We struggled to find this place as there is no sign on the street and is part of the Valencia Hotel. The very classy decor made us feel under-dressed until we noticed our server, Antonio, wearing jeans behind his long apron. Antonio was a gracious and welcoming server, and we found a few items in our price range: paella and chicken breast. Both came with veggies and were prepared nicely. A memorable experience.
This location is a secret jewel. We had such a wonderful experience! Unlike other restaurants it was not crowded or over booked. The hot homemade bread was yummy and malbec wine sample from Spain was awesome (both of these came with the meal, unlike other restaurants in the area that serve it alacart. We had the seafood paella, empanada, and the farmer salad. These were all delicious!!!
Thanks for your service
We met some friends here to have brunch. It’s located in the Hotel Valencia which is great because you can valet at the hotel for free. Make sure you tip the valet people, they were hustling getting those cars in and out. We hung out in the lounge area for about an hour having mimosas and talking before our brunch time. The lounge was nice and comfortable with plenty of room. Great ambiance and nice decor! Our drinks were really good. The food was good and the service was great.
Arrived late from my flight, got there 10 minutes before they closed the kitchen. Super friendly and willing to serve, even a last second customer on a Sunday night. Food was delicious. The hotel bar attached serves some of the best whiskey and mescal cocktails I've EVER had
Stopped in here for the first time. The entrance into Hotel Valencia is worth the trip alone, the fountain pools and chandler is amazing.
The food was pretty good too. Never had a smoked salmon bagel in my life but my palate is broad, and it was damn good. Look forward to trying other things here when I come back.
Immediately greeted upon arrival. It was quaint and very pretty on the inside. We were given complimentary glass of wine while we made our selections. The service by Antonio was above and beyond, very personable. The food was amazing, this was our first experience with Argentine food. It was delicious, very savory and good portions. We tried a few of the small dinners so we could share and experience several different flavors. We had cocktails that were not only appealing to the eye but tasted good. What a great experience, we can't wait to come back and try something new. AND... we didn't take the bull.
This place is fire especially the cheese and fish. Also try the Sheppard pie and the bar menu- bar menu is cheaper and you get a pretty good portion at the fraction of the price. Get the salad with the pecans and walnuts and add the shrimp- the shrimp are amazing. Stay away from octopus the white beans are lacking and too much greens in there, octopus is okay but portion kinda small.
I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Located inside hotel Valencia, they serve as special Argentinian style cuisine. I happen to be here on a Friday night so in addition to the cuisine we were also serenaded by wonderful classical guitar music. I had Argentinian style sausage with a salsa to go with it the Merlot was excellent and definitely if you get a chance try the flower shop drink at the bar. You will not be disappointed!
Outstanding in all regards. Superb service, excellent coffee, and a magnificent setting. The avocado toast was magnificent.
This was an excellent experience. The steak was very nice and the paella was amazing. The best thing though in my opinion was the empanadas. These were the best empanadas I have ever had and I am very glad I tried them.
Had a last minute drink here last night, it was clearly closing time but theres still, some guests at the bar so he kinda did us a favor. Our kind bartender was named Jacob, he worked above & beyond. Kitchen was close, since it was my birthday at 12midnight, he did his very best to make it a little extra and put some candle. This type of worker deserved to be commended. Hope you remember us with this photo. Your kind gesture was very much appreciated.
It was a very good experience on Christmas’ eve. Service is so good! Our server Lauren is very sweet and helpful. The overall food quality is very good except the desert is a little overpriced. Our salmon dish was served a bit late and our server nicely take out the price for one of the dessert. I’ll definitely come by again when I visit San Antonio next time! Recommended!
We ate some lunch before before our theater show across the street. The tickets came with a mention of the restaurant so we decided to check it out. By the way, you can valet park your vehicle here, for free, to eat but also for the duration of the show. Don't forget to leave a tip.
The restaurant was not busy at all, we were the first customers though. I would suggest you make a reservation anyway. The hotel has some nice areas to relax in in case of a wait, and some nice views as well. The menu offers a good variety of items so make sure that you try a three course meal if you can. The beef stew was tasty and so was the flaming cheese. The meat pie was ok, I would suggest going for a different entree. Don't skip out on the dessert. I recommend the filled churros.
Enjoy y'all.
Inside of a hotel on the river walk. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Friendly service. Delicious food.
Found this Argentinian place at the tail end of the Riverwalk. Have to go through the Valencia Hotel so its tricky to find if you are not specifically looking for it. The food is excellent and there is a really cool variety of appetizers that let you get a taste of everything. The atone balcony oversees the river so its a great little nook to go and relax too.
