Oasis is a "dive" in the best sense of the word; an unpretentious local place that does its thing well and without fuss. I went for breakfast and the choices were hard; they have a range of plates starting of course with huevos rancheros, and also a series of breakfast tacos. Prices are unbelievably cheap. A real highlight is the fresh salsa made in house.
This is a nice little family owned joint putting out some great food with good service . The place could use a little cleaning up and redecorating ....looks a little tired and worn down . But ...the food is the shining star here. They offer breakfast and lunch . Both tacos and plates . We had lunch on our last visit and everything from the enchiladas ,tacos ,rice and beans was great . A nice little hangout when you are in the downtown area. The servers are friendly and fast .Worth checking out .

Best breakfast hands down. Must visit if you're near the riverwalk. Don't let the cheap prices fool you but this place is awesome. Authentic. Small but awesome.
Fantastic food, must eat here for breakfast. Very impressed. My kids loved it!
Delicious home cooked breakfast!!
And they serve breakfast all day long!!
Reasonable prices. Now we know where to come eat when visiting S. A.
Only suggestion I have is they should hire more waitresses. Only one
waitress for the whole lunch crowd..
Service was slow, took a long time to get more coffee/ tea, and check..
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this cafe!! Everytime we visit San Antonio, we have to get breakfast here. They have an amazing selection of breakfast tacos! The prices are very reasonable. A family of 4 can easily eat there for $20 or less. DON'T MISS OUT ON SAN ANTONIO'S BEST KEPT SECRET...OASIS MEXICAN CAFE!
Fantastic! If you're visiting San Antonio, get away from the tourist-trap Riverwalk and do yourself a favor--oasis had wonderful rich, savory, authentic Mexican food...evident in the rustic, rough-edged handmade tortillas!
This place was amazing. It was a short walk from the river. I has never had puffy tacos. Now I don't know why people would eat them any other way.
OMG- GOOD. This place has the absolute best breakfast tacos I have ever had!!! They have 20+ choices of different breakfast tacos and based on what we saw, lunch looked awesome as well. Try it out- you will not be dissapointed.
Fantastic!!!!. If you are visiting San Antonio and want to try some local dishes such as the puffy taco, this is the place to go. It is delicious and does not break the bank. The food was very authentic and very good. I will definitely be going again!!!!
Yummy!!!!. I had their special of the day (Fideo w/Picadillo and Beans) it was so good. Think I'll have it again next Friday.
Small nice cafe near the Alamo. I had heard about SA being known for puffy tacos and wanted one while I was there visiting. I found this restUrant on the internet. Their puffy tacos were excellent. I has both the beef and chkn. The beef was so good very moist and flavorful. Of wasn't very greasy. Very good experience here.
Exelent. Fresh. Price right. Closes at three.
Awesome place with good food! Definitely reccomend the lunch specials! Got the puffy tacos and senorita plate, lots of food! Staff was super friendly and the services was great!

The breakfast was awesome! Authentic Hispanic down home food! This is that great small diner that you can have a great meal at a very reasonable price! I had the Huevos Ranchero! Go by, and remember that the food is cooked made to order, being patient will reward you with a delicious meal.
Nice place off the beaten path. Quick service: I just wish the coffee refills would have been a little more frequent.
Amazing place, a hidden gem. We went there for breakfast and everything was perfect. The owner is the nicest man, he came over and we talked a bit. The food is perfect and the prices can't be beat. This is the first time I am in San Antonio, but we will visit this place again for sure!
This was a nice little restaurant, the staff is very welcoming. We loved the food and homemade tortillas. The decorations were nice. I would definitely recommend this place.
Great place for breakfast tacos. Loved the chicharon taco
What a great little gem! Worth the few blocks walk from the Alamo! ⭐⭐ Lunch menu was just perfect!
This little piece of heaven has always been a favorite of mine thanks to my sister! I've taken my wife to experience the delicious food and service. The food is outstanding! I recommend enjoying all they have to offer! The sweet tea is a must! Great hideaway that offers a big punch! Family owned and ran, which will better your experience here! Lots of parking but not as many tables inside. If it's busy... You'll understand why so many come to enjoy! Now... who's hungry?
Food is great. Owner is really cool. Nice small place. Your money is going to a SA business owner. Let’s support our local great restaurants.
The food was delicious!!! Definitely tastes homemade. We really enjoyed talking to the owner. We took our breakfast tacos to go, but wanted to circle back for more. We visited from Houston, but will definitely be back when we come to San Antonio again.
