This place was amazing! The Mac and cheese nice and hot the food had so much flavor and the spicy bbq sauce was soo good. I got the family and added ribs and turkey we will come back
Food was on point. I highly recommend the sweet sauce. I got to try the brisket, chicken, and turkey and I would gladly order each one again. Also if you have kids, or are a kid at heart don't forget to get some mac-n-cheese. Great value, well served, and very reasonable prices.
An absolutely solid BBQ choice in San Antonio. Delicious food, loads of options, quick service, and a clean and cozy BBQesque atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I had the pulled pork and brisket. The pulled pork was tender, smoked, and jaw smacking, as advertised. The brisket complimented it well. I closed out dinner with a large cut of sweet potato pie 🥧......
Plenty of drink and dessert options as well.

This is my first time here was on google maps looking for a bbq place this popped up was like I wanna try it. this place is WOW packed with Smokey delicious authentic bbq flavor it deserves to be in a better side of town. Friendly and fast staff great indoor and outdoor seating If you haven’t tried this place yet and you like TEXAS bbq I would 100% recommend it.
Fat girl had BBQ sauce all over the front of my shirt and I didn't even know it! But everyone was so busy stuffing their faces, no one noticed! DELICIOUS BBQ!! The brisket falls apart easily and has great flavor and is juicy like me! The creamy corn is creamy and thick with corn! So delicious!!!!! The tea....was sweet...like me! I paid $17 for a hearty serving of delicious tender brisket, flavorful creamy corn, Mac n cheese, and a sweet tea. The bread, pickles, onions, and BBQ sauce are given at no charge. The restaurant has a woodshed country vibe to it, the staff is constantly cleaning and quick to attend to customers. If you haven't given this place a try.. do it now! Try them out! 🤤
Great place for some really good BBQ, had the 3 meat plate, brisket, pulled pork and boneless chicken(yes it’s an option 😀) cream corn and Mac and cheese. Definitely a place worth trying A++

Thought we would try the BBQ here and glad we did! The ribs were some of the best I have had! The chicken was very good to, and nice flavor and just the right moisture. I really liked the creamed corn!

I'm new to the area and was looking for another BBQ Place besides typical Bill Millers, but when I discovered this Lil joint Rusty Bucket off Cupples and hwy 90 and decided to give them a try I was glad I did, I was NOT disappointed at all everything was on point!! I enjoyed all the antique decorations hanging in the restaurant and the huge picnic tables w/ all the made bbq sauces, definitely give it that vibe! It's warm and inviting to eat there. The many bbq sauces they make here are pretty damn good! And we tried the brisket, chicken, and ribs and all was perfect and they give you good portions! I recommend the Mac N Cheese, Potato Salad, and Spicy Green Beans for the sides.The employees were friendly and acknowledged you, they gave great customer service here and the restaurant was organized and neat and everyone handling food here wore gloves which I liked. Thank you all for everything! Marissa gave excellent customer service and is the best at offering suggestions, I will be back!!
THIS IS A BBQ JOINT! BRO! We literally do not have anything close to this in Atlanta and I am sad 😞. Great Brisket, chicken, ribs and pulled pork. The creamed corn and mac...geez. We ordered more on the way out for later. Come get it while it's 🔥!

When in San Antone, you must stop by here. Its a block or two off the highway Brisket is on point, its a better choice compared to Bill Miller's. Sausage was good, too. When I read the menu, I noticed they had brisket chili so I ordered it. It comes with a, homemade, corn bread. I've never had brisket chili and it was real good. I didn't have anything else since I try to keep my carbs <20. My buddy had the potato salad and mentioned it was good.

Despite being packed, food came out quickly. I ordered the smacked down potato. Baked potato with chopped and the works. I'm well built and over 6 feet tall and that potato filled me up to the brim with hardly any space to try their delicious peach pie. Definitely going back with a bigger appetite. Can't go wrong here. Lots of love going into the food. Perfectly seasoned and flavorful with every bite

Hands down BEST SMOKED BBQ I've had in San Antonio and surrounding area since I've been here! GREAT VALUE too! I got a hefty 3 meat plate of brisket, chicken and pork ribs, 2 sides and a drink for under $25. It's the same pic in the two pictures below, since the 3 meaty and tender ribs covered the surprisingly large chicken leg quarter! Brisket was moist, had a nice bark and smoke flavor to it. The spicy green beans were just that, had a nice twang to them. Only thing I wondered about was if the potato salad was store bought..reminded me of HEB's and I heard one employee say to the other, "We have potato salad now?" No matter though, I liked it anyway. Saw someone w mac n cheese that looked good too - next time! Sauces were not back. Not too thick, but a little too much sweetness for my taste. Definitely better than that other place in Seguin... 🤷♂️ No need to drive that far when there's this gem here in SA. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's looking for great BBQ and great atmosphere. Looking forward to returning soon! 🔥👍
Love that Mac and cheese with brisket! What a great twist. That burger was loaded, they definitely do not skimp out on the meat. It was so easy to place an order online and pick up too, it was ready in less then 10 minutes. When I realized there was an outdoor covered patio we decided to eat it out there instead. We will be back next time to try the ribs and support this awesome mom n pop business.
Literally just left moments ago. We're in San Antonio for my sons graduation from basic training. We were told to eat some Texas bbq while we were here. (We live in California)...The outside of the restaurant was a little off putting, due to the appearance and it looked a bit run down. But once inside we found a cozy and rustic little dining room. Food was served very quickly and was fairly priced. Let me just explain that this has to be some of the best bbq we've ever had. Brisket so tender you can cut it with the plastic fork provided. Ribs, were fantastic, side dishes were all fantastic. The Mac n Cheese, the smashed baked potato, broccoli and rice.. plus 3 different bbq sauces.. were only in town a few more days, and we're considering going again.. so Jaw smacking good
The food was great, we had 8 folks on our party and not a single complaint. My ribs were fantastic along withe the sweet potato casserole. Always great always my favorite. I also like the farmers chop. It makes a great sandwich!! I'm-a com'n back!!!
Highly recommend the brisket! I thought my father-in-law made the best brisket. Don't tell him, but this was even better (as recommended by him!). Prices were reasonable and it was a great local joint. Not touristy or overpriced.
Absolutely amazing. I went to four BBQ places and this was the one that stood out the most. We ate here three times out of our well long visit to San Antonio. It came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. The brisket had a perfect Texas bark that you’d expect. The ribs were perfect, they came right off the bone with just the right tug. We tried a variety of sides, my favorite was their potato salad, just how my grandmother made it. Their slaw was fresh, and the cracked pepper added a great flavor, it made it very Texas. And their sauce, they had ketchup based sauce that was good, but the spicy sauce!! It was a fusion of BBQ flavors with the perfect amount of heat, perfect! I definitely will come back.
