Despite being hard to get to, now that the highway modernization has occurred. This place always has consistently good food for a decent price. Been coming here for a long while and it never lets us down. If l had any concerns the bread is a tad too dry and hard (more the consistancy of croutons than bread). That being said it still had a good taste.
Great food the grandma's lasagna is delicious! The waitress was awesome! Definitely recommend this place.
I ordered the Lasagna and my children had the pizza and it was delicious. The amount of food I received was too much to eat! So good! Our server was wonderful too. I didn't get his name. 07/08/17.
Lunch special (rigatoni with meatball, salad, garlic bread) and wife's Meatball Sandwich with salad and garlic bread) very, very filling and very, very good!!!
Our server Mia was so sweet and so thoughtful. They are lucky she's on staff! The food was hot and so tasty! WILL definitely go back!
This is a very authentic Italian food restaurant. It’s family owned and operated, with love, you can taste it in the food! I frequent this place. It’s my favorite Italian restaurant.

Friday night just hit san antonio stopped by my favorite place got my pizza great as alwase and staff is nice as can be.
I've always had a good experience here. Pizza is great, as is the chicken parm. Lasagna is also pretty good though I do prefer mine with less meat. Really love this place.
Talk about serendipity. This little gem is quite the find. After a morning of caving at Natural Bridge we stumbled on this place and WOW! The staff was amazing, service was exceptional, and the food was incredible. Well worth the visit.
Pasta. I would ask if the ravioli and lasagna is " home made". I was told it was not. But the pizza, meatballs in a boat and chicken parm sandwich are fantastico. Pizza takes a long time but it is worth it.
Delux Pizza is the bomb. It's thick, hearty, and takes forever to prepare, but it is totally worth it. I can normally eat a whole pizza by myself, but me and my wife could only make it through half a pie. Good eggplant and chicken parm sandwiches, too.

Authentic Italian. I've only had the pizza but it was really Italian & very good. Maybe the supreme is a little heavy on the black olives, but it was so good, we just picked the extra off. My friend had chicken parmesian, which I tasted & it was delicious. The young man that waited on us was new, but very good, so good my husband left him a 30% tip. Grrr, men. We are going back & taking family.
I love the ravioli here. Great homemade pasta includes terrific, flavorful ravioli served with a tasty tomato sauce and a wonderful large meatball. The lasgana is also very good, and the linguine alfredo is excellent. The pizzas are also very good; my favorite is the Italian sausage with fresh mushrooms and extra cheese. The garlic toast that accompanies meals is always hot and freshly made. Ignore the strip mall store front and the iffy parking. One caveat: the pizza orders, for both dine-in and take-out, can make the kitchen occasionally back up.
Don't be fooled by the storefront. Yes, it's in a strip mall next to a gas station and dry cleaning place. Do not be fooled--the food is hard to top. We've eaten here many times. The service is not always the greatest, but the food makes up for it. Their baked ziti and meatballs are some of the best I've ever had. Their pizza has a real unique flavor. You can taste and smell the sour yeast in the dough. They usually 'over cheese' the cheese pizza, but it's still very tasty. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem. It's honestly the most pleasant Italian dining experience I've ever had in the San Antonio area. The entire vibe is a down home family restaurant. The food is easily worth $20 per entree but they charge $12-15. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive.
First came here in 2003, fast foward 2022 my family brought me for 40th bday. Small restaurant with great food. I always get the fettuccine add chicken, spaghetti, or the pizza. Nice size salads with excellent garlic bread. My toddlers are the pickest in the world and they liked the pizza. Menus not huge and parking is odd. Great employees!
Great family owned restaurant! We had the toasted ravioli which was just the right amount of jalapeño spicy. Then we shared a 16 inch supreme pizza, and we had tons of leftovers because their pizza is thick, with lots of mozzarella! The crust was my favorite, crispy and thick. Brandy was our server and she was the best!
The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken is amazing. The texture of the sauce is creamy, the chicken is tender, all of it is so perfect. The server was very attentive and friendly. Everytime I go to San Antonio, I always stop here because of that pasta.
Great food! Atmosphere might put some folks off as it's just like a basic little hole in the wall but the food and service was great!! Will be back again and again for our Italian food!

Today I was off from work and I was craving really good Italian food. I was in need of some really good comfort food and boy did I find it. The chicken Parmigiana was a blast to my taste buds. 😋. I was happy from my mouth to my brain and down to my stomach. We also bought the meatballs in a boat. Whoa! I know this food was made with love cause it really showed. Great great job! Thank you for best Italian around. Compliments to the chef 👩🍳 👨🍳 ❤️
This place is the cutest little neighborhood hot spot. Definitely a place you'll see someone you know. My husband has been going here since 1998 and it's kept its charm. Today we had side salads and the tomato bread for appetizers. The red wine vinegar dressing is soo good on the tomato bread. J got eggplant parmesan with rigatoni, and I got the cheese ravioli that comes with a huge meatball. The meatball was absolutely the best thing on the table. Overall Capparelli's is a great local place for a quiet table and good food at a really great price.
You should probably take into account that most 1, 2, and 3-star reviews are over 1 year old, many over 2 years...for what it's worth.
We're not from close by, but we have eaten here before many years ago and decided to take a short drive and try it again.
Outstanding: Service
Good: Main dishes, lasagna and ravioli with a meatball on this visit.
Needs improvement: Salad was fresh but limp for iceberg lettuce, although the toppings and dressing were good. Red sauce was strangely bitter, almost with a burnt taste.
Overall: Don't give it a pass just because of the gas station location next door. It was packed for dinner on a Friday evening, so it's obviously a local favorite.
The food is amazing and not overpriced. You get what you pay for, in my opinion. The waitress we had was great too. The atmosphere isn't bad, but it's just a little small in my opinion (at least the garden ridge one is). Overall, it's a place my husband and I highly recommend.
I have been going to this place for years! Love the food and atmosphere. I ordered Togo this time. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because I got charged a house salad for each entree I ordered. I thought it came with it? But maybe the rule is different on Togo’s I’m not sure. So just keep that in mind when ordering Togo. The girl that took my Togo and paid me out was also so nice.

Great place for a quick Italian lunch. With lunch specials and senior offerings there is lots to choose from. I had Lasagne my wife the Rigatoni with meat sauce. We both were pleased.

Friendly wait person. Place was clean. Ordered the tortellini with alfredo sauce was good added shrimp. Salad with house dressing was okay. Was a little pricey.
I came here out of town after a long day at the wildlife ranch. It was worth the visit. Friendly staff ,delicious food. I ordered wings, chicken Parmesan sandwich it was savory and crispy. The tiramisu, was soft fluffy and the cream had a nice airy consistency. I would highly recommend to check this restaurant out After you visit natural bridge caverns or ranch you won't regret it.
First of all I want to start this review by saying thank u thank u thank u! I moved to the great state of Texas 5 years ago. Then the pandemic hit and the world became a different place. Having to stay at home being vacanated and just not enjoying life as I use to know it. I am a lover of good food. It is a great way to share your life's stories with friends and family. One of my friends invited me to try caparellis. Now I grew up in St. Louis mo. Some of the best Italian food in the planet. So I thought ok let's go and try it. Man am I glad I did. You cannot beat there lunch specials. Today was my second time to try there lunch specials and it was just as good as the first time. Today was meatballs in a boat with side salad and garlic bread. Yum. First time was the 4 cheese ravioli with meatball side salad and garlic bread. Double yum. Kim and the girls that work there know how to make great Italian food. I highly recommend.
