I was there for breakfast. Good food. Good prices. Lot of choices. Good portions. Good salsas. Clean restaurant. The parking lot is small and uncomfortable to park.
Great, Authentic and the best in town!
If you come to San Antonio you need to visit 2 places.. the Alamo and Jalisco Cantina.
Food is great, tastes fresh, served straight out of the grill. The food catches all authentic flavors and above all on a reasonable price.
Service is excellent, as soon as you sit down the servers start taking care of you. They are all respectable and with a lot of attention to detail.
Best deal for me, the 1 pound barbacoa. Best meal for postworkout.
Must try this place.
I’ve been coming to this place for YEARS. I recently moved out of town, I still come back into town occasionally just for this place. The sweet tea is perfect and the enchiladas are consistently delicious, the table salsa is the best I’ve had. And don’t get me started with the service! Best staff that never misses a refill! I love coming here, but this is my taqueria, you have to find your own. lol
I was looking for a restaurant near me after my doctor’s appointment. This restaurant came up and I decided to give it a try. I felt the price was a little too high but considering the location I can understand the price. The food did not disappoint. Great quality! Service was good as well. Staffs are friendly. I got what I paid for. I’ll come back again if I’m in the area looking for a decent Mexican Food.
Passed by this restaurant so many times and decided to finally stop for dinner. We were not disappointed!😊 Food was delicious-shrimp chalupas were filled with fresh shrimp and flavor. Shrimp quesadillas- excellent with plenty of flavor and huge shrimp inside. Lemonade and hibiscus drinks were delicious. Our server was amazing!
I have been coming here for a few years now. This is a Mexican/ Tex-amex restaurant, I personally do not like Tex-amex food, but they have many options on the Mexican side that I enjoy. The staff is very nice every time, unlimited coffee all day. I like to order the machacado taco a la Mexicana, they make it like back home, I also like the nopalitos tacos, very traditional, for breakfast I like to order the Steak and Eggs plate, the meat is so juicy and tender, and I always ask them to cover the eggs with salsa ranchera, so good! They have this green salsa that is my favorite, you have to try it with chips and with food. Last time I went my friend ordered the pancakes, beautifully decorated, soft and fluffy! They were perfect! I have not tried lunch or dinner here, but breakfast is a good place to get good tacos! My only complaint is the bathroom, only one for women and one for men, and some times needs attention.
The food here was awesome, I had the nachos with chorizo, steak, chicken and shrimp! Definitely would get it again! My wife had the Pina Flameada and that was on point too! Our server Hilde was the best and took very good care of us. The food was fast and our drinks were always full.
Mm mMm MmMm this place was good. I was craving breakfast tacos past 11am and needed a fix. Searched for a few places and ended up here. Happy with the Google gods for bringing ne here and finding me a new local spot I'll be frequenting for years to come.
I had regular bacon&egg tacos on flour to-go. I paid $6 for 2 tacos. Somewhat reasonable these days. Got home and they were amazing 🤤
While waiting for my order to be made I looked around and the place was spotlessly cleaned, well maintained and full of smiling faces.
The staff who helped me were very nice and seemed enthusiastic about sharing their faves. I'm already excited to try them for lunch or dinner plates very soon!
Great clean space. Quick and friendly staff. Service was impeccable. The food was hot and fast.
The only downside were the tortillas of the breakfast tacos. They were not freshly made from scratch. They were from a bag, the type I could heat up at home.
We just had lunch here and the food was really good. They brought 3 different salsas to the table with the chips. The prices are reasonable. I only was disappointed that I didn't see any guacamole for my burrito when the menu said it comes with guacamole.
Great breakfast! Not only do they serve more familiar options such as tacos but their pancakes and waffles are amazing! We visit almost every week, the service is always great and food very good!

5 stars for their corona virus precaution with masks and glove and curbside pickup and the customer service and speed was up to par! Bravo!
I gave four stars because the carne guisada was kind of tuff but the sauce was good.
The cheese enchiladas were delicious and super cheesy which is all I want.
I ordered 1 lb barbacoa for 14.99 came with 6 tortillas your choice they threw in a good amoumt of pick and salsa and lemons. The barbacoa was really good, not greasy so I didnt hate myself when I was eating it. I liked the barbacoa tacos I made without the pico and salsa more.
Serving size are large I still have tons of left overs.
It's been several years since the last time I was at El Jalisco, so because of that, decided to give it try once again. The atmosphere was really nice and the restaurant very clean. On my visit I decided to try the enchiladas de crema which were super salty and certainly not edible. I returned the enchilada and the manager apologized and agreed about the saltines. Decided then to try the fajitas which were excellent. I'll definitely be coming back to try new menu items. I will say that our server was nervous and a bit confused with our orders, but hopefully it was just one bad day for him.
