The food was great. The Shrimp Diablo was aptly named- tastefully spicy. The fish tacos were great. The waitress was friendly and helpful sharing the Shrimp Diablo was also her favorite dish. The comfortable laid back setting allowed for easy conversation.

GOBSMACKED- SHRIMP PO'BOY
To write home to mamma about!
From Louisiana? Can't find any NOLA or Cajun food? More specifically, can't find a good Shrimp Po'Boy?
Look no further, head to Puerto Vallarta and order the Fried Shrimp Po'Boy. You don't need a menu, simply order the food missing in your life. The fried Shrimp Po'Boy!
I have dined in a myriad number of Po'Boy joints all over South Louisiana. I have consumed an untold number of Shrimp Po'Boys. This is the real deal, this will take you home!
My wife and I have enjoyed several menu offerings here over the past few years and always left totally satisfied. This kitchen, front dining area, and service has always excelled.
Your Po'Boy arrives with fries and a choice of cocktail and/or tartar sauce. There is an array of hot sauce on the table including Cajun Chef. It is wonderful!Β

Dreaming of a Shrimp Po'Boy? Head straight to Puerto Vallarta, you will not be disappointed!

Fried Fish. The absolute favorite place I go for fried fish. I don't like big chain restaurants and love to find the mom & pop restaurants. This is the only place I go now to get my fish fix. They do have some Mexican food and it is ok if someone in your group doesn't eat fish, but I only go for the fish.

Awesome Find. I had the pleasure of eating lunch at Puerto Vallarta today. I have not had much luck with restaurants in San Antonio but this was a pleasant surprise. It is far off the beaten path and it is not in the prettiest area of town but the food will leave you in awe. First off there was hardly anyone in the restaurant so the service was great. The menu has so many choices it is hard to make up your mind. Everything looks good....I am still thinking about it. I had the Pasta Lafayette and it was so refreshing to have a seafood or cajun dish that was not just gumbo. It had fresh garlic, blackened shimp, crawfish with a brown sherry sauce tossed in linguine. I was with a party of 6 and I wanted everything everyone else had. The salmon diablo looked very tasty as well as the crawfish trio. Best thing of all is the price. The food is some of the best I have ever had and half the price it should be. I wish they had a location in Austin it would take off. I cannot wait to show this place off when I get the chance.

I’ve been here a couple of times already, and enjoyed my food each time. Their food is good and prices are fair, nice ambient and excellent service! Got the large fried platter and it was very filling and the shrimp cocktail was good as well!

Overall not a bad place. I had the fried catfish with french fries. Next time I want to try the alligator bites. The prices were very competitive or maybe even slightly lower than other comparable places in San Antonio that serve this type of food. I will update this post once I try the alligator.

I ordered the Shrimp Diablo with dirty rice and bread pudding to go. All the food was full of flavor, I just wish the Shrimp Diablo was a bit more spicy. The bread pudding was a bit overcooked, so I just ate the portion that was not overcooked. The lady that took my order over the phone was helpful and friendly, great customer service. I will come back and try some other dishes and a different dessert.

Good food and service fairly priced. I order the "Pasta Diablo" it was very delicious and flavorful but it was missing the Diablo part since I figured it was gonna be spicy
