I had his daily special which was a grilled cheese with beef. AAAAmazing!
I told him I was staying downtown and he recommended a brew pub with some interesting menu items as well.

So good!!!! I tried the Spinach Artichoke sandwich last night � and I may have died of happiness! It was sooo cheesy and creamy, plus they told me that adding bacon made it even better � The homemade potato chips are awesome too! They're kinda similar to the ribbon potatoes you see at fairs, but without the sogginess. They're super crisp when you take the first bite and then almost melt in your mouth as you keep chewing � yum!!!!

Get food and atmosphere- highly recommend to anybody who wants to enjoy great food, but at the same time very low key place
A fan of your great food! So excited your restaurant is just down the road from us. Been waiting for it to open but were out of town this week so we came straight from the airport. Just returned from New York and can honestly say your menu and spectacular food competes with anything we ate while there.

Visited the brick & mortar location recently and LOVED it! This was my first time trying anything from Benjie’s, and it did not disappoint. I had the 5 cheese bacon mac & cheese, which was heaven. It rivaled pretty much every mac & cheese I’ve ever had. Can’t remember hubby’s order, but he scarfed it down. We also ordered the bacon jalapeño deviled eggs, & they were so tasty. In fact, we’re making deviled eggs for Thanksgiving & plan to use those as our recipe inspiration. Can’t wait to try more from here!
We keep coming back because there are so many great choices on the menu, but I end up getting his daily specials! All of the food is delicious and he creates some truly unique dishes

Went last night and everything was fantastic!! Loved the Cuban sandwich and chicken on a stick. Tried my sons grilled cheese and it was amazing! (Not your regular grilled cheese at all). I can’t wait to come again to try some other menu items!! Service was impeccable as well!! A+
I have always been impressed with your options.. however... today... I had the Porquetta (did I spell it right?) sandwich... Which was highly recommended by your staff... and HOLY MOLY!!!!! I cannot express how delicious the sandwich was with mere words... My only complaint is that it is all gone... I MUST have another!

They already had a great food truck floating around our city, and they hit the jackpot again with this trendy but comfy diner ! Food is awesome and original. No need to go to a trendy downtown eatery, go to Benjies instead!

I was in town attending training and had the opportunity to try the Cuban. Let me say it was the best I've had in quite awhile. As a matter of fact, it tops the ones I've had in Miami.

The candied jalapeno bacon cheeseburger is one of the best burgers in San Antonio. Legit! Pair it with sweet potato fries and it doesn't get any better than that. Delicious. Need to go back and try more burgers. Friendly service. They checked up on me several times to make sure everything was good. They didn't even seem to mind when I changed my mind three times before I settled on the candied jalapeno bacon cheeseburger. Try this place.
We came here for my son's 3rd birthday because he LOVES cheese. From the service to the food, and the beyond awesome staff it was great. My son is on the spectrum and the staff was more than understanding (he was stemming). They came to check on us numerous times and were friendly. We will for sure be back!!
Been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally did and tried the buffalo chicken sammich. Also got the deviled eggs. Deviled eggs were good but i wished they mixed the bacon and jalapeno into the yolk mixture. Still, they were good. The sandwich was great, Bacon was crispy and greens fresh. The chips were unexpectedly awesome. The best part of the place was that ALL of the employees seemed genuinely happy to be there and we all friendly. I want to go back and try the burgers... Next time.. Highly recommended!!
Visiting with a friend suggested we try this place. O m g it was fantastick gastro delight. I had the candied jalapeno bacon cheeseburger, and I ate the whole thing. It was really good from beginning to end and fresh. The potato chips were fresh and good. I have tried my friends. Sweet potato fries, and next time, I will make sure I order those. Friendly staff clean environment in place good to bring some family. I would say I recommend this place.
Fantastic spot! Incredible food, and amazing service! Counter service spot with burgers, salads, a wide array of sandwiches, and other comfort foods done exceptionally well. Once you place your order, you grab a number and take a seat. When your food is brought out, they're quick to ask how everything looks and offer condiments and napkins. While eating we were checked up on by both counter staff and the owner. They really want you to enjoy your meal, and it shows. Quick with recommendations and suggestions. We had the award winning spinach and artichoke grilled cheese with bacon and house made chips, the 1/2 pound patty melt with fries, and the best chicken sandwich with fries. All were delicious. Their bacon is habit forming. The bread for the grilled cheese and patty melt was delicious and crispy from edge to edge. High quality beef and chicken, and cooked perfectly. This spot is in our rotation short list for sure. Highly recommended!

The artichoke dip fav. Burger just ok bland ,chicken much better choice. With there unique sides .Fried greenbeans good and a very lite fried Brussel sprout leaves was different. So much to try still it's a repeat stop for me
It was well worth the hour drive I must say. I first tasted their food via food truck at the Arsenal at H-E-B a few years ago. Convinced my family to jump in the car to go check out their spot, and it was definitely worth it. Parking was a breeze, I love the location and the ambience was perfect.
Service was great, and they were patient seeing that it was our first time there. We were taken through the variety of menu options they have. The food is done to order, so you're getting everything fresh off the fire.
We didn't wait long for the food, and before you know it, our food was already gone!! Finger licking goodness I tell you.
I most definitely recommend Benjie's Munch. Food is great, service is great, and ambience is great. A++++

I didn’t think I’d like the food but “BAM” it is tasty, flavorful. I had the blacked chicken sandwich and fries. Appetizer artichoke dip this is the best I have ever had. Soooo much cheese, YUM!!!! To drink the orange hibiscus drink, oh my great!
Visited for the first time last weekend to try the chicken sandwich and found award winning grilled cheese sandwiches as well! Had a walk through the best things on the menu from the owner himself. Ordered the chicken sandwich, spinach and artichoke grilled cheese with bacon (don't forget that) and upgraded to fries on both. Added some mac and cheese too. Everything was delicious! Even the fries were spot on! A++

If you haven't eaten from Benjie's Munch's incredible tantalizing menu yet, don't waste another second! Thankfully, they are just a short distance from my office, so I get to enjoy them any time I want. I love the "fancy sandwiches", as I lovingly refer to them. Ben is very supportive of his local community. I highly recommend taking your family, team, office, friends, .....strangers there to have lunch this week!
The grilled cheese trophies are proof enough that you should drop by for a bite. The people working are VERY kind. Space is small for how crowded it was, and we heard about this place from a friend. It’s a known spot in the area and it didn’t disappoint. Barbacoa grilled cheese, house made chips, and real cane sugar big red? YES. We will be going again. Gotta try something else!
I don't come here frequently and I should. The food is always spot on. The patty melt is perfect on a cold day. It's so cheesy and decadent. My friend had a burger and the chicarrones. It was her first time here, and she loved it.
Overall not bad. I felt a little awkward with my experience but it felt like everyone was staring at me… but the barbacoa grilled cheese was pretty good.

One of the top 5 burgers in the city! Incredible creation that’s flavorful and delicious. But the crispy chicken club might even be better. That really blew me away. Fries are also homemade and taste great. A new favorite spot for me.
This place had been recommended to us by a family member and we’re glad they did because this was a great recommendation. The employee here are so friendly and welcoming. Their menu is also vegetarian friendly, and their drinks have less sugar and calories but still taste very good.
Great fresh food made when you order. Friendly staff. Fries were awesome and the burger just hit the spot every bite. Had a giant corn dog at about 11 1/2 inches kids liked it and also got them a chicken sandwich. Went for chicken on a stick but got a blackened chicken club instead (pictured). They had coke and Pepsi brands and stubborn fountain sodas and teas. Didn’t get to try more is the only sad part. Lots of the food on the menu sounds delicious. I will be going back

Wow! This was ridiculously on point! I wanted to come here for months and my only regret is that I didn't get here sooner. This burger was absolutely phenomenal! Hands down without a doubt the best in town, and there's not even a close second. And the fact that they have gluten free options is double bonus.
If you've been waiting to come here, do yourself a favor and don't wait another day. Get over here to Benjie's and try these burgers and sides out! You will walk (probably wobble) away happy that you did. The service was great. They were very pleasant and professional and were patient in helping me to order. You can taste every individual item in the burger and they fuse together perfectly. I got the Munch Burger, which I probably ordinarily wouldn't have gotten, but I'm glad I tried out their specialty. The bacon on the sandwich was perfection. Everything was just great.
I can't recommend this place enough, and while I would ordinarily say, "I can't wait to get back to this side of town and try them out again", they are very likely the reason that I will be coming to this side of town very soon. Just to eat here. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did (I'm sure you will!).
I had never been to Benjie's Munch before so when I came in I asked the lady at the counter what to recommend. She had some great recommendations and mentioned their award winning spinach and artichoke grilled cheese so I chose that. I told her my order was to go and she kindly offered me a water cup while I waited. The food was delicious!!!! I can't say enough great things about it. It came out to $16 for just the sandwich (no drink) so it's not a cheap place to eat but I think their quality of food and ingredients really stands out so it makes up for it. Everyone was incredibly friendly and nice too. I was greeted when I came in as staff say "welcome!" And when I left a staff member made sure to hold the door for me and said "thanks for coming in and have a great day." So it was just a really pleasant atmosphere!
